Here is the latest transfer video from Sky Sports that concentrates on Newcastle and three potential deals for Bruno Guimares from Lyon, Lingard on loan from Manchester United, and even Diego Carlos from Seville.
The deal for Bruno Guimares is almost complete with the Brazilian going through his medical right now – if he hasn’t already finished.
Stave Nickson has jetted into the Brazilian city of Belo Horizonte to complete the deal, and he has been accompanied by a member of Newcastle’s medical staff – not sure who.
Sky Sports believes that talks will likely be revived for Lingard and Carlos to see if Newcastle can reach an agreement before Monday night at 11:00 pm when the transfer window slams shut.
That’s very possible with Lingard because Manchester United are asking a total of £16.5M for Lingard to play in Newcastle’s final 17 games (if he is not injured) – which is ridiculous.
In fact, Manchester United are preventing their player from playing football basically for the rest of this season by pricing him out of the market, since he has played precious few minutes this season for the Red Devils.
And Lingard has been with them for 22 years, and it’s a World Cup year too.
Other Manchester United players, as well as Leningrad, think the Manchester club’s stance on this is less than good, and certainly, they are not treating their players with any empathy or respect.
Here’s the discussion on all of this on Sky Sports, and it’s very interesting.

Comment #11Apparently Holding/Burn/Phillips/Ake isn’t an improvement on what we’ve got 😮
Clark is past it and his frustration is letting him down, give him to a Championship club and let him end his career with dignity.

Comment #13I’d be very disgusted if we paid a £12m survival bonus.
Absolute extortion.
Id shut the deal down completely. And tell ManU to do one.

Comment #15On Lingard, can we then also ask Man U for 12 Million if we go down as he didn’t do the job as Man U thinks he would.
Or say he plays and gets injured and only plays a few games and our club does survive. What then, I for one say screw you Man U.
Tell Jesse sorry but we tried for you and do you want to sign contract now for the summer when your free only if we stay in the prem.
We stay up and next season and we kick the living shite out of them on the field.

Comment #18Man Ure’s decision in Lingard is petty and will only serve to harm them in the future. Every senior player at Man Ure, every player who may join in future and every young player at their academy now knows that the club only have their commercial interests at heart – even a player who has been at the club for 22 years can be disrespected for money. So don’t be surprised if every player who joins the club in future is “only in it for the money”.
I’m sure that’s done wonders for morale amongst the players and coaching staff.

Comment #19Least there wasn’t no drama. Kiss and made up but still furious with Clark for doing that when the club is visiting Saudi.

Comment #20After the way some of the greedy 6 have conducted themselves over our TO, i am disappointed that our owners have entertained them in this window.
I would of avoided trying to do business with them like the plague, and looked elsewhere other than Lingard, there are plenty of talented players in Europe who could of been an easier option, why give Manure our money anyway.
Give them as little opportunity as possible to take the piss, they have done enough of that.
A horrible club with the greediest owners on the planet.
Plz Amanda , don`t ever consider doing business with these leeches ever again.

Comment #24We’ve already seen Rashford criticise his own club for the Lingard treatment- anyone he gets on with will be pissed off with them. If that anger is linked directly to Rangnick then there could be real trouble coming from it.
I agree, petty is the word.

Comment #25Many have already mentioned Clark’s misdemeanours this past year. It’s definitely frustration boiling up as he realises he’s not quite at top level. But as Mund says, what was he thinking ? – Fisticuffs at the home of our owners in a friendly during a promotional tour!
In another era and different set-up he would be in the head’s office, receiving six of the best!

Comment #26Sad for Clark though, been taking a lot of sticks since that red card. Not the best defender but not the worst either. But I think he would be one of the player making way to free up a slot if Newcastle signs a CB.

Unbelievable mate. The more it’s settled the angrier I am at him. It’s bad enough getting sent off in a friendly but in that fashion is unforgivable. Incredulous.

The match video bit blurry, I thought that Saudi player shove an elbow or hand into Clark’s face first prior to the scuffle. But yeah, Clark should not have reacted that way too.

Comment #30spot on Pottsclock – NUFC aside, ManU are holding Lingard hostage at this point and destroying his asperations of ever playing for England again. I hope other players are seeing this and hopefully understanding ManU isn’t the club for them.

Comment #39Moonraker………… Quite right about these women pundits sat there pontificating on transfers as though they are some sort of authority on the matter when they are clearly not. Totally cringeworthy and inappropriate
Most of the male pundits are clueless and are just there as part of the old boys club, so why do we need some cloth eared bint giving her two bob’ s worth when she is obviously not there on her merits as a knowledgeable football person.
