Newcastle have played 10 league games in 2022, and we have 6 wins, 2 draws, and 2 defeats for a points total of 20 and an average of 2 points a game.
Newcastle have conceded 7 and scored 13 for a goal difference this year of +6.
We have beaten Leeds, Everton, Aston Villa, Brentford, Brighton, and Southampton: the highest position of those clubs is Aston Villa, who are now in 9th place – so we haven’t beaten any other teams in the top 10: our only other win this season was at home to Burnley.
The 9 game stretch coming up has 5 teams currently in the top 8 in the Premier League, so it will be very difficult to maintain this year’s average of 2 points a game.
Here are the 9 games with our predicted results for each game.
Date | Club | Predicted Result | Result |
---|---|---|---|
3 Apr: 4:30pm | Spurs (A) | Defeat | L 5-1 |
8 Apr: 8pm | Wolves (H) | Win | W 1-0 |
17 Apr: 2:15pm | Leicester (H) | Win | W 2-1 |
20 Apr: 7:45pm | Palace (H) | Win | W 1-0 |
23 Apr: 3pm | Norwich (A) | Win | W 3-0 |
30 Apr: 12:30pm | Liverpool (H) | Draw | L 1-0 |
7 May: 3pm | Man City (A) | Defeat | L 5-0 |
15 May: 3pm | Arsenal (H) | Draw | W 2-0 |
22 May: 4pm | Burnley (A) | Win |
That’s 17 points from the 9 games remaining, which would give us a season total of 48.
That’s not too bad at all, when you think we had 5 points from our first 11 games.
If we can do that, it will be more points than we have had in the Premier League since back in 2013-2014, when we ended up with 49 points in 10th place.
And here is our current position in the league table, as a reminder.
Club | Matches | Goal Difference | Points | |
---|---|---|---|---|
9 | Brighton | 38 | -2 | 51 |
10 | Wolves | 38 | -5 | 51 |
11 | Newcastle | 38 | -18 | 49 |
12 | Palace | 38 | 4 | 48 |
13 | Brentford | 38 | -8 | 46 |
14 | Villa | 38 | -2 | 45 |
15 | Southampton | 38 | -24 | 40 |
16 | Everton | 38 | -23 | 39 |
17 | Leeds | 38 | -37 | 38 |
18 | Burnley | 38 | -19 | 35 |
Let us know how many points you think we can get and the results of each of our 9 games remaining.

Micky,
I totally agree with you. Northumberland with all its castles and beaches, kielder forest/reservoir up to the borders are amazing.
When I first showed my missus around the region, a London lass through and through she was absolutely awe inspired by the scenery and the people. She loved the area.
If she pi$$es me off I shall give her a tour of wearside that will fettle her

Comment #4lesh (and others). Sorry, my avatar isn’t St Mary’s it’s the one at the end of Tynemouth pier, I thought it was St Mary’s at the end of Tynemouth pier but I’ve been advised St. Mary’s is a different one.

Still a cracking picture all the same. Actually when Lesh pointed it out I thought he could be right. As it’s at the end of a pier.
I used to take me late Nanna (god test her soul ) to St Mary’s Lighthouse every Sunday. She absolutely loved it there…One Sunday she was drinking out her flask of coffee and she said Jonathan, the fog has really rolled in all of a sudden is this one of those sea fret’s. I said no nanna, you glasses have just steamed up from your coffee. Hahaha bless her man, lovely funny little woman. I will never forget that. x

Comment #12Tuff you’ve turned into a very twisted fukr the last week. I think I can speak for the whole blog when I say that nobody is interested in your bondage imagery, your German slagging or your gay bashing. You belong in the 70s with that nonsense.
Cop the hell on.

Comment #21Seems to be a daily thing with Mister Tuff getting a bee in his bonnet about something he sees as a little bit gay. Seems to see gayness everywhere he looks does Tuff.
May I suggest you relieve that frustration by getting on Grinder and finding some bloke to give you a good arse banging? Seems like that’s what you want after all…

There seems to be a bit of a fad on twitter these days, eg: tell us how old you are with out saying your age or tell us your favourite type of cheese without mentioning the brand.
One for you. Tell us how many people you’ve had to beat up or man handle with out telling us how many people you’ve beaten up or would have beat up lately. Tell us how rich you are without telling us how much money you’ve got, also tell us why Britain should be white only without admitting you’re a racist bigot!

Comment #25Darnik – I didn’t see that I just admit. I just don’t understand why someone is so obsessed with someone else’s sexuality unless he’s genuinely in the closet and all he can think about is gay sex. I mean, I get it, when I was a 14 year old virgin and hadn’t had sex with a woman, that was all I could think about too!

Thing is Mister Tuff, there’s nothing wrong with being gay. If I was gay and I’d been out for lunch with my boyfriend, I’d post that and be proud to have done it. Most people don’t care.

Comment #36I actually think we’ll beat Liverpool at home and draw with Citeh away, we’ve a big part to play in the title race. But on the other side of that we’ll lose a game where we should be winning.
