Potential NUFC 2022/23 Kits Leaked Online

It’s that time of year when thoughts of next season begin to take hold. Newcastle have accomplished their mission of safety after a rousing four months to start 2022. The next few months are primed to be very exciting with the summer transfer window looming.

While new signings will occupy the minds of many, the summer also brings with it the wonder of what the new kits will look like. Newcastle’s kit provider Castore gets a second crack ahead of the 2022/23 campaign.

There has already been a leak online. A Twitter account under the name of Ayça has tweeted what could be Newcastle’s new home and third shirts for next season. Here they are.

Whether these are the new shirts remains to be seen. The home shirt will probably look something like what is shown above. Newcastle may go to the more traditional look with multiple black and white stripes.

The third kit is a dark blue with gold trim. It looks quite classy. I wouldn’t be too upset if these turn out to be the new shirts for next season with the away shirt still to be revealed.

Lobby doesn’t have a future here mate and definitely not in two years time.

He is making the right decision for him

Would be a pity if we let another decent young player go but as most of us have said he needs a good run in the team to get up to his best and he’s not going to get that here unless we pick up a few injuries. I guess the best case would be a 2 year extension and we send him out on loan for next season to see how he does.

I can picture David Batty in that home shirt

Fair enough Mund. It’s just that I’ve lived and worked in the south for nearly 40 years and over that time have had many discussions/arguments with fans of other clubs who have spewed out the deluded tag so maybe I’m a bit sensitive to it.

I still think there’s a decent player there if only he could get a good run of games. There’s an awful lot of pressure on him when he plays games now because he knows how strong our midfield are playing since Christmas. I may be a bit too sentimental because he’s one of our own!

Barkel – it’s in the club’s interest to get him to sign a contract so they get some money for him if he leaves. From his career perspective, he’s better off leaving permanently. The only real reason that he’ll choose to renew is because of his emotional attachment to this club.

Under previous regime yea but not now mate as we are headed in a completely different direction.

I’ve been one of Lobby’s biggest supporters on here but he would be better finding another club as a first teamer

Blah. There are deluded fans from every club. I’ve heard and read many deluded comments from Toon fans over the years and those are the ones that often get the most attention and other fans object to.

The vast majority of Toon fans just wanted to see some passion around the club and us actually trying to progress. That’s why the likes of Hughton and Benitez are both held in good regard during the Ashley time, because both seemed to genuinely want to move us forwards whereas several other managers were happy with a mission of just maintaining the status quo.

Maybe Lingard isn’t the right player to spend 130k/week on, but these owners are going to have to accept the fact that a number like that and upwards is the new norm if you want to build a team that is going to challenge for a top six place. I can see us mid-table or worse for the next few years unless they are prepared to flex their financial muscle. It’s all very well to talk the talk (as they do) but you’ve got to walk the walk and splash the cash, to use a combination of cliches

There was a brief window in time when Sean looked like the real deal.

Sad for all parties, but for what ever reason he hasn’t progressed.

He needs to move on to rebuild his career and fulfil his potential.

I hope he does well, just can’t see it happening at his home club.

I don’t know why people are hung up on how much Lingard might be paid. Why does it matter? If Howe wants him, if his salary won’t disrupt the squad, and if the owners are happy to pay it, why does it matter?

All will be revealed by the end of the window.

The owners will smash it this summer and by the start of next season we will have a team to be excited and proud of.

If they need to break the wage structure they apparently have then there’s no doubt they will

I’m offended by the deluded label. I’m not looking to win anything, just a champions league place and brief cl run next year. Also, I don’t expect us to sign more than one 100 m player this summer. Nice and easy and pragmatic.

Did anyone watch Villa. Hate to say this, they done well, could’ve drawn or won.

Coutinho? What can I say, he’s class. Over the hill? Maybe.

As others have said, I think Sean is one of those players that needs a run to get to his best and at this stage of his career wants to establish himself somewhere where he gets a lot more starts. It’s a pity as I don’t think being here for 2 years under Bruce has helped his career. Hope he does well somewhere whatever he decides.

I wonder if we’llget the “who was it that decided to let him go” discussion in years to come 😀

Regarding Lingard or any similar player wanting big signing on fees and wages etc. We can thank the Chelsea, ManUre and even Everton for the high-wage culture.
Realistically though, we’re probably going to be able to compete with any offer he would get elsewhere because we won’t be going to a top 5 club. So the agents can ask for what they like, but we should only offer what is fair.
A player I would like us to sign is Dwight McNeil. Still only 22 but with lots of EPL experience. Still improving but already a very good player. On much lower wages and we would be a big step up for him. Yes, we’d have to pay Burnley a decent amount for him but it wouldn’t be dead money considering his age.

Do you consider January to of been a measured approach?

Biggest spenders across Europe with the intent to buy more. We could of easily spent up to 150M if the owners had their way.

I don’t consider that a measured approach. Only time will tell but this window is huge for us and I have no doubt the owners will bring in what’s required to take us up a level and beyond.

Sorry only seen your comment from a couple posts back. It would be awesome to finally be the club to move first and get in the next future stars. I’d just like to see us move that way at some stage, i’d prefer it to paying high wages to decent/ok players who are only likely to have another 1 or 2 ok seasons in them. Get in there early, get the next future star who is already playing well, fraction of the wage and can develop with us for a long time. Nothing wrong with some truly quality older players, but just like to see us start moving to get the next generation of stars.

Those pictures are Turkish. Turkey has a very large textile/clothes industry and it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that Castore would get kits made there. However they also have a huge “fake” industry that rips off all sorts of designer goods and sportswear brands.

The above could be from one of these, we’ll have to wait and see, personally I’m not impressed.

I think Howe really really wants to keep the squad harmony as strong as it is. He’s mentioned it multiple times and how important it is. So I don’t think we’ll be straying too far from our current wage structure. Which is fine as there’s plenty of quality targets we can get in that current wage structure. Each season that structure will increase so we can up the wages for players gradually without disrupting the squad. Sensible approach in my eyes.

“There are 6 more clubs interested in Gabriel – he’s focused on final games with Man City, we’ll see.”

On the transfer front, I’m hoping for a couple of early announcements to keep things calm. Don’t want to be going into last 2-3 weeks of window still scrambling for players specially as the Season will have started.

I’d really like to see everything done and dusted for a full pre – season with new squad.

Sorry repost: of a question with Sena likely leaving any thoughts on Matty Longstaff? Anyone seen him play at Mansfield? Could he be a Premier League squad player or has that ship sailed?

Being 22 (same age as WIllock) and playing in League 2 probably means its unlikely but perhaps he could do a job for a year or so in the transition?

    Adamn_92,
I think the wage rise will come as natural progression. We simply cannot go from what we have now to offering a Rudiger £300K pw. Even if we could afford it and even if we loopholed FFP. It just wouldn’t work, although not on the same scale it would be akin to when QPR spent/wasted/threw at all those players that time.

Mund, when you look at what Man City’s owners were prepared to do and spend pretty much as soon as they took over then I would say the Saudi’s approach has been conservative in comparison

Cleversly – I think we’ll have a few deals tied up early for sure. A lot of the scouting/prioritising was done in Jan and we know the targets we want.

The likes of Nunez, Jesus, Osimhen etc I think will make their intentions known early and we will likely move to secondary targets a bit later for them. Similar with the wings/AM positions.

But LB and CB I expect early moves. Targett comes or we line up another, we agree terms for Botman or we go for Ndicka or Benoît Badiashile.

Agree’d. Also just seems like a sensible approach to keep everyone happy. Gradually bring that ‘wage cap’ up at the club so nobody is paid way more than anyone else. If someone comes in through the door earning 30-40-50k+ more than others who are playing week in week out, could understand if they were a little annoyed about it. Gradual raise keeps everyone happy and sends the message that the whole team is equally valued. No special treatment for any player kind of thing.

Howe seems super keen on keeping everything harmonious and united, so can’t see him wanting to sign someone on 30-40-50k more than others and risk that. Not when there’s plenty of quality players to be had that wouldn’t break that structure.

McNeil definitely looks like a player who could improve a lot to become even better than he is now. Great work ethic too and gets stuck in. Wouldn’t be upset at all if he joined. After the Wood situation though I wonder how keen Burnley would be to do business with us haha

Another thing on the current wage structure – if Bruno and Trippier can fit into it I don’t think it will be a block in bringing in quality. There isn’t a need to break the structure yet in my opinion, we have plenty of great players who would fit without potentially rocking the boat.

Once one player gets a much bigger salary than the rest then it could unsettle things – other agents of players start asking for bigger deals for their players and the odd player may get unhappy. Also if a big earner doesn’t perform it makes those performing but being paid less potentially feel undervalued. Agree with the gradual approach and we still pay well, just not at the top Champions League levels team levels

    ToF,
Is it lost on you that they spent £90M in January more than any other club in the world. Carried out upgrades all-over the ground, submitted plans for the training centre which is only temporary and that the transfer window isn’t even open yet. What is it you were expecting?
