VIDEO – Watch It Here – Miguel Almiron’s Goal Of The Month For April – A Wonder Goal

Newcastle winger Miguel Almiron has rightly won the Budweiser Goal of the Month for April with his magnificent strike on April 20th at St. James’ Park.

It was the lone goal in Newcastle’s 1-0 win during a 4 game winning streak.

Well done to Miguel, and we expect more like that next season.

🙁

And to think that’s his only goal so far this season.

Congratulations to Miguel Almiron.

It does remind me in my youth of a goal I scored at Walker Park many moons ago.

Back in the day, I hit the ball (it was my “caseball” by the way) with my left foot, and it went in just inside the coats to put my makeshift side ahead.

The only difference I can think of is mine went in a bit faster than Miguel’s.

Of course, my memory is a little bit shot these days – but that’s what I remember.

🙂

    Wynsleap from previous,

Problem is with Jesus is he doesn’t like playing through the middle. He prefers to play out wide so we’d not really answer our striker problem.

Great player though, but can’t help but feel his recent form would see him having more established options and he maybe would go with a team already established in the CL

If only Miggy could do that more often he’d have been a fantastic player. Great attitude on the kid though, I love a footballer who plays with a smile on their face.

He’d tear it up in Spain I feel.

    Hibbit,

Agreed, but he’d not come here yet I don’t think. He’s going to have a lot of suitors and some of them will be ahead of us in the summer.

    Hibbit,

It would be the kind of big name signing that could encourage the fence sitters to climb down and jump on the bandwagon. But we’d have to risk upsetting some touchy players as he’d definitely break our wage structure!

Ledge… Oh me too mate, I can’t wait till the summer!

Dazzler… Those are the two that seems to the favorites. It can really work in our favor that there are so many good options to chose from, since we are bound to wrestle with some very big teams for some of them.

Just my gut feeling (and maybe a little unfair) but I think for Jesus see Iheanacho. Scored well at city but in honesty you could put Rivière up front for city and he’ll score 20 goals! Jesus would improve us but is he the type of striker we need? (Or could attract? If Arsenal get 4th he’s theirs I think).

    Jp Mayor,

Jesus is a winger mate, he doesn’t like playing through the middle. I think wide right or left I could see him being a star. We’d still need another striker and know we’d have him as an emergency back up for that position. But as you say I see Arsenal as his destination. Maybe they could let us lend Saka if they get Jesus though.

Rapinha would be amazing the chances he creates for players and the way he presses he would be a club legend

Yes he look angry but he wants to win and has that desire his team have let him down big time

Barcelona really want him though which could be where he ends up

But if he wanted to join our Brazil team more than welcome

We dont have a wage structure!

If someone of a worldy stature fancies the ride this summer, then of course we’ll take him on and of course we’ll pay them more than anyone else on our books…because worldy players cost that much wherever they go.

If we say right then lads…no-one at the club earns more than 150k a year…then all you do is rule out the best players in the world…so why on earth would we want to do that because the only way to get to the top is by buying the best players.

Pay the going rate…its the only way…especially at our early stages of world domination

    Sparky,

£150k per year? There’d be a mutiny hahaha..Offer me £150k a year and I would be over the moon. Pro footy players, not so much.

    Wage structure…?

    Upsetting the apple cart…?

Do other clubs follow suit? No they don’t.

City have both KDB and the incoming Haaland on £350K a week. That’s in some cases over £200K than others but do you see anyone moaning?

This is the way and you either get on board with it all or it’s Hasta La Vista

    Calvert-Lewin is injury prone?

    Absolutely false.

    Last 4 seasons appearances; 33, 36, 35, 32.

Just shows how some posters back up their ‘hope not’ opinion with false flags.

One bad injury during a season doesn’t class you as injury probe – ask Shearer, he had one.

So would anyone take iheanacho then? If Eddie wants prem experience strikers who would you realistically take? I liked the look of Leicester striker Daka before he came (and looked ok vs us). Abraham from Roma would be my ideal choice but maybe out of reach (Rafa wanted him but rejected us/Ashley set up). So Pedro (watford), Broja (Chelsea/Southampton), toney? Doesn’t excite me though. Onto the German league striker options…

Does Raphinha operate on opposite wing to Pacqueta?

If so, get em both, sell ASM and keep Murphy and Fraser as the squad back ups.

Now, where’s those strikers I was looking for?

    Mund,
The other day you said you were told that the club had no further interest in Etikite because his agent was asking too much and that he definitely wasn’t coming here. Just catching up today and you’re hearing his signing is a formality, which is it, as it can’t be both, which one are you hearing sounds best?

Paqueta is more central mate. It didn’t work out for him at Milan on the wing and I think he is better as a number 10

I love that we could be so Brazilian heavy. It could really bring SHOWTIME football to Newcastle. Imagine Paqueta, Lodi, Bruno and Raphinha in our team. It could also work wonders for our chances to sign the next Ronaldo9, since we would be bound to get allot of press and Love in Brazil.

If we got Lodi, I’d keep Lewis to develop him with Dummet on the one year standby. Let Targett go with our massive thanks and let him take Manquillo with him.

Almiron can be sold with ASM if we get the 2 wingers mentioned above.

I’ve got a good team shaping up in my head, I hope Eddie’s on board 🙂
