More Conflicting Claims Emerge On Ekitike

Despite claims from France that Hugo Ekitike is stalling his proposed move to Newcastle, local reports remain somewhat more upbeat. In fact, there is an update from Sky Sports today that the transfer could be completed soon.

Keith Downie is reporting that personal terms are close to being agreed on. If that happens, the 19-year-old would then fly to Newcastle for a medical next week.

It’s becoming unhealthy to put too much stock in any one report at the moment. That is the same with updates on Sven Botman. Both sagas have swung like a pendulum over the past few weeks.

The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards has responded to this recent update. He doesn’t believe anything has fundamentally changed on either Ekitike or Botman. Though he does believe both players are keen to join.

Time will tell whether Ekitike or Botman will finally arrive at Newcastle. At this point, it may be best to wait until we get some stealthy photographs of the players arriving for medicals before getting too excited.

    Smart money is on it.

Genuine question: what particular issue do you have with myself, Jail and Lesh? (I’m sure there are others)

You’ve shown yourself capable of being cordial when need be but there’s something about us three that particularly rankles with you and I’m curious what exactly is your issue.

I’m less interested in having (yet another) row with you, I’m more interested in getting to the bottom of what your problem is with me. (Jail and Lesh are big enough to ask you themselves)

So straight up: what’s your problem?

    1) Sadly passed on this day in 1994: Len White, he was an absolute hero at SJP,a true Legend. Playing on wing and primarily partnering Milburn up front, Len had an impressive goal scoring record but often found himself in the shadow of Wor Jackie, despite this he was instrumental

    https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FVb6R6RWIAIQ9Sz?format=jpg&name=large

    2) in the FA cup Winning campaign of 55. Once Milburn left, Len took over as the leading striker scoring at least 25 goals in each of the next 4 seasons. In the 60/61 campaign he had already scored 28 goals before he broke his leg v Spurs and with our top striker out we were down

    3) to date only Alan Shearer and Jackie Milburn have scored more goals for Newcastle. He scored 154 goals in 273 games.

James Ward-Prowse is on NUFC’s radar – his agent is Jonjo’s agent – Jonathan Barnett, a big pal of the Reubens they all attend St Johns Wood synagogue – Barnett is rated one of the top influencers in the game , he organised G Bale to RM for £89m his agency https://icmstellar.com/

Put the victim card back in the deck. The only ‘agenda’ I have is that I think you’re insincere and hypocritical. I take issue with that and I call it out when I see it, which then brings us into conflict.

That being said, I’d love nothing more than a permanent ceasefire, but that requires you meeting the people you dislike halfway. As much as you may see yourself as one, you’re not a victim. As much as you may see me as an instigator, you’re every bit an instigator too.

I’ll take you on your word though. Never speak to me again, and I will endeavour to do the same.

TBH it must hurt Sting a bit that it isnt his music that is being played at home matches McKnofler is a geordie as well as far as I know, as is Hank Marvin but I have never heard any of them mention NUFC.

So much for never speaking to me again.

    My last word:

I’ve not commented on the blog consistently for about 9 months or so, so “you bring the blog down” may be a bit of a stretch. If the blog has been an amazing place for the past 9 months and anyone wishes to corroborate that I’m a reason it’s been toxic lately, then I’ll happily listen to the feedback of others and step aside. If not, then this will just have to go down as a Mund “fact” – i.e. a completely made up piece of drivel from the back of your tiny little noggin.

Feel free to have the last word though, you so desperately need it little man.

Gareth Bale has alluded to not mind dropping down a division as long as he is playing regularly to keep up his fitness for Qatar with Cardiff being the reported club. Probably perfect for him if they can scramble together £80/100K pw. He’s won everything anyway, probably has £50M in disposable cash and innumerable assets. Why not live near to your Ma and Da in your early stages of retirement. Cardiff people are quite nice too.

On Sting, he was local – his Dad was our milk man many many years ago, in his fame he did invitation gigs at Wallsend center next to the park- I was never invited.
Not sure what make someone a Geordie, birth, or becoming a local hero?
Denise Welch was from Tynemouth is she a Geordie – not sure.

Small World; Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I think Sting was full of himself when he made the scene and was probably ashamed of his roots, he has mellowed as the years have rolled by.
I look around the area and it is raggy around the edges but I seriously love where I’m from and I’m proud of my region, except for Sunderland. 🙂
I watched Question Time last night, which was from Newcastle and I had my head in my hands. The Tory Geordies were an embarrassment.

Bales next move is going to heavily depend on what he wants from his last couple of years in football. Does he want to steadily unwind and focus on one last hurrah with the Wales squad? If so then a nice move to somewhere like Cardiff, back in Wales would probably be ideal. Club football won’t be as demanding and he can still keep his game up to help the national side.

Or, he may decide he wants to make one last push at doing something amazing both at club level and national level. If so then someone like us would be a great move, as he can help the squad and players for a year or 2 to try and take us to the next level. Leaving behind his influence on the team hopefully in a much better position. Similar to I imagine what Trippier is doing with us. Hoe to win something but if not he’s helping get the club to where it belongs before hanging the boots up.

My money would be on the first option. Think his main focus is on the Wales national team and he likely doesn’t have a passion or any real need to prove anything else at club level or challenge himself at that level at this point in his career. He already came back to the premier league and done well so probably doesn’t see a need to come back again.
