Chelsea have reached an agreement for Leeds winger Raphinha according to Fabrizio Romano. This comes just moments after The Athletic’s David Ornstein reported a deal was close.
Chelsea and Leeds have reached full agreement for Raphinha! Official bid accepted around £60/65m [add ons included]. Main part of amount to be paid immediately. It’s done between clubs. ?? #CFC
Talks now ongoing on player side on personal terms and contract. Boehly, on it. pic.twitter.com/gNbc4HbrTa

The Brazilian has been on Newcastle’s radar for some time. Just yesterday, it was revealed that despite his lofty price tag, Newcastle were tracking developments surrounding the 25-year-old.
The hope was that no club would approach Leeds’ £60m asking price. It now looks like Chelsea have jumped in and offered what Leeds were demanding.
Romano also claims that both Arsenal and Barcelona made last-ditch efforts but came up short.
More on Raphinha. Arsenal had a meeting with Leeds and made a new verbal bid in the last hours, turned down by LUFC. Barcelona also called Leeds again but no chance to match Chelsea bid. ?? #Raphinha
Chelsea are now working to get the agreement done also on personal terms.

Newcastle stood very little chance of landing Raphinha. His valuation was too high and there were too many clubs in for him. It is surprising that Chelsea could be the ones to land him as they were reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Manchester City for Raheem Sterling.

Sometimes you have to sit and smile at all the toon detectives coming up with conspiracy this and conspiracy that, why hasn’t he been announced.
I thought we could start off with some of the top ones to get this off of The Botman Conspiracy. When he does or doesn’t is when he does or doesn’t.

Comment #31Never thought Raphinha was realistic to be honest. Makes sense for his next move to be a CL team. Didn’t think Nunez was realistic either.
On the other hand, we would be a good choice for the likes of Ekitike and Harrison. I’m not quite sure about Eriksen as I don’t know where his head is at.

Comment #34So Chelsea getting Rapinha and Sterling then probably be playing Havertz as the false 9 that’s a quality front 3 shows how far we have to go to bridge the gap
Although I also seen they were linked with Lewandowski but he wants Barcelona haha

Comment #39I reckon we’re taking the piss out of Manure. The owners ring up the Manure CEO up and ask them how much they want for one of their players and then fall about laughing when the mugs quote a rediculous fee.
