Newcastle Make Approach For Electric Ghana International – Report

Newcastle have moved on from Leeds winger Jack Harrison after having an initial bid turned down. The amount of the bid has varied in different reports but it was far below Leeds’ £35m valuation of the 25-year-old.

A number of alternatives emerged late this week with 90min claiming Arsenal’s Nicolas Pepe, Watford’s Ismaila Sarr, Wolves’ Adama Traore, and Burnley duo Maxwel Cornet and Dwight McNeil are on the shortlist.

However, The Mail is reporting that Newcastle have made an approach for Rennes winger Kamaldeen. The 20-year-old joined the French club last summer from Nordsjælland for a reported £17m, breaking the transfer record for a player in Denmark.

Kamaldeen suffered a broken vertebrae in his back in February that basically shut his season down. He returned to play for the B team in May but only made the bench in Rennes’ final game of the campaign. He managed 5 goals and 2 assists in 27 appearances in all competitions.

It’s unclear how much he would cost as Rennes already have a significant investment in their young attacker. He is a full Ghana international with 11 caps and started all three of their matches in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Ajax and Leverkusen, both known for finding outstanding young talent, are linked with the right-footed winger. His exploits in Denmark as a teenager put him on the map early with Rennes pulling the trigger just one year ago. He is signed until 2026.

    BREAKING…..

After a year out from management where I’ve travelled the world, watching teams train like Atletico Madrid and learning from masters across Europe, I’ve come back better and stronger……

I’ve rejoined Eds league, if there is anything else or other leagues I need to be added to, work away, Team name is “Irish is back” if I’ve missed out on deadlines it’s all good.

I may or may not take it seriously depending on how good or bad I start off lol.

    Edit: bloody bus!

I still like the idea of Sarr and Jonathan David.

Plenty of young players out there with lots of potential.

We may also be trying to move a few more players out to free up squad space.

Good to see Munoz heading to Portugal, from the little amount I’ve seen of him he has looked decent. Howe will be taking a close look at him possibly with the thought of loaning him out for the season.

I dont know why, but I’ve had this niggling feeling Diaby isn’t dead in the water for a while. Something is telling me we might just pay up with a week or two of the window to go.

It feels like we’re holing back and keeping our money for one big offer for someone, and all this time going by, may be because we’re trying to get value in other area’s so we don’t end up spending too much.

Could all be wild fantasy and hope, but I’m just calling it now, incase lol

Delighted to see Alex Murphy get the trip. Imagine how he and his parents must feel?
I will try to find out about him. I mentioned on here before that a neighbours son was on the bench for Burnley at the end of the season, but he should know him as both were at Galway Utd. Hopefully Daragh will make the breakthrough at Burnley this season as he was their top scorer for the U23s.

Geordie I think Jonathan David would give us a nosebleed on price and may be beyond our budget but I don’t think we will spend all the money on a striker of his class. I think it will go on a winger, with a striker being younger/for development, or a guy who can play in a few positions. I’m it really sure how Diaz moves us on significantly.

    NadJ,

As it happens pal, just done some pork sausages in the air fryer without any oil added. 16 mins at 185, turning them on 8 mins. Perfect outcome. Quite a remarkable kitchen appliance.

With todays electricity prices I would recommend using an air fryer if you have one, as opposed to a traditional electric hob or oven if you want to save a few quid.

    Jane,

Aye, I find mine really easy to clean. I chuck the tray and basket in the sink to soak in the water after I’ve done me dishes. Using minimal oil so comes up brand new easily and quickly. I do the gubbins inside the main housing, element and other parts after it’s cooled down a bit every few months or so, probaly takes me 15 mins tops.
If you’re using one everyday I’d imagine you’d need to clean the gubbins more often.

Cheers for the Stoke odds by the way, was expecting better value than 5/1 to be honest as they finished 14th last season, maybe it’s due to Gayle being there now. Still chuck a tenner on it though, why not.
