Chelsea Winger Could Be Next On Newcastle’s Transfer Agenda

Stamford Bridge has been the source of a steady supply of transfer links for Newcastle United. The club have held preliminary talks on two targets with a loan proposal recently being registered for Timo Werner.

Before the focus switched to Werner, striker Armando Broja had been in the headlines for weeks as an alternative to Hugo Ekitike. Thomas Tuchel’s reluctance to part with the young Albanian international resulted in the Magpies moving onto other targets.

The Mirror is reporting that Newcastle may now move on from Werner as interest from his former-club RB Leipzig heats up. The Mirror backs claims that Leipzig have pushed ahead to bring the 26-year-old back to Red Bull Arena; a move Werner could prefer.

The Mirror is reporting that Newcastle may move for yet another Blue if Werner proves unattainable. Callum Hudson-Odoi’s name could be next on the negotiating table with the 21-year-old having hit the radar earlier this summer.

Hudson-Odoi has failed to make an impact under Thomas Tuchel. That is unlikely to change with the breadth of attacking options the Blues boss has at his disposal. The winger is entering the final two years of his contract with his career at a crossroads.

Newcastle are currently pondering a third bid for James Maddison with a decision on Werner’s future still unclear. Hudson-Odoi would cost a significant fee but the Magpies would push for a structured deal that could be heavy on add-ons and bonuses.

The overall notion that anyone who questions a single thing within the club is a “moron” or somehow less of a fan is a worrying trend. While those who tag our owners on Twitter or are abusive on social media are bloody idiots, not all who question the club are in that category.

On Maddison, I would be amazed if he left for less than £50m and I doubt the journalists are too far off the mark with their reporting on the matter earlier in the day.

Valencia getting Arthur with Juve paying half wages on loan. We should do that. Arthur could play the Shelvey role

Yes Madison is a top class player. The sort you hate when he’s in the oppositions 11 as he is the one who always finds the weak spot in your team and takes advantage like top players do.
He suits Howes game of the high press and is a set piece expert and seems eager to develop and has recovered from his dip in form to prove he is here to stay as an international contender.

But I just think he is smarmy and I just don’t like him personally. The type of player to rub it in fans faces after he has scored in front of them like I remember Barkley doing for Everton and Mount seems to do a lot as well.
Going even further back I remember Don Hutinson the supposed now huge NUFC fan and new ambassador after the takeover celebrating and getting in the fans faces when he scored the winner for the mackens against us right in front of me in the gallowgate.

You will never be forgotten for that Don you horrible mackem.

    Yes Mund

It’s all coming together but it seems strange everything going right for NUFC.

But I’m sure they will find a way to take another dip in the roller coaster.

Probably now tho conceding a last minute winner in the champions League final.

I think we could do with a few more players who we love because they’re ours but other fans teams hate them haha Plus, like you say, Maddison is a stellar talent who would improve us immensely.

Football fans do have long memories though as you rightly point out!

For me, I’d have Maddison above anyone else we’ve been linked with (even Paqueta who I’ve been raving about all summer haha)

To the morons – chiefly Bob – who try to neutralise debate and discussion because they’re oh so above it all.

Piss off the blog if you don’t like it. Nobody is forcing you to come here and read.

If you think everything in the media is a fabrication and the owners and staff they’ve appointed are infallible, a blog centred on opinions about the goings on at the club, with article looking for reaction, is not for you.

Aye some of Madison’s link up play and flicks around the corner to open up defences are top class and those dark art attributes he has all top class players need them and he could be a huge signal of intent and would improve us immensely.

Just a crazy life being black and white.

And yeah definitely long memories haha

Don Hutchinson, Graham Fenton you ruined black and white hearts and won’t be forgotten

I even remember shearer scoring a penalty against us for Blackburn in the leazes and he celebrated like mad.

But he is probably just forgiven

Ruddy – oh, of course I don’t think that anyone questioning the decisions from our new owners is a moron and I don’t believe Bob thinks that either. But I do get frustrated with the fans who insult the owners and/or other fans because they think they know more than the serious professionals currently running our club. It’s almost like some people don’t want to be happy and never could be. Those kinds of people are just miserable gits. Question the decisions for sure but anyone insulting our owners or being all doom & gloom because we haven’t signed an attacker yet probably needs to think whether supporting our club is good for their own mental health. Can’t be good being that negative all of the time…

And I think it’s well known what I think of most transfer links…though the Maddison link is a lot more solid than most so I think we have something to discuss at least.

What on earth are you all getting worked up about and going on about. People talking about the transfer window? The potential Maddison deal? The owners? It’s a Newcastle blog. Of course people are going to talk about these things. Whether the news has any truth behind it or not, it’s still Newcastle news so of course people will have their own views and thoughts on it.

Read back and I genuinely have no idea what some of you are getting annoyed about or worked up about haha

Sorry I missed your earlier comment (yet again). In terms of FPL H2H promotion and relegation, I can’t remember what was said earlier but we shouldn’t make it too complicated I think. Maybe bottom five go down and top five promoted? Is that fair?

Not sure it would be a good idea starting to look at people’s points total and comparing them to ones in another H2H league to decide if they go up or down. Why over complicate it?

I’ll obviously go along with whatever is agreed because I can’t remember what was said at the end of last season regarding this year 🙂

    Bob,
You should tell Ed and Neil to stop writing articles and only write about what is 100% known like scores and scorers. A lot of the rumours are BS, but it gets people talking and thinking. Same for when we debate Pope vs Dubravka. We don’t pick the team so really there’s no point in us discussing anything. If you want to go further, 90% of all speech is irrelevant, we could probably get by off grunts and gestures.
