Newcastle Target Asks For Loan Move With Multiple Premier League Clubs On Alert

Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi has asked to leave Stamford Bridge according to multiple reports, including The Telegraph. The 21-year-old was left out of Thomas Tuchel’s squad in their 1-0 win at Everton on Saturday.

Timo Werner, another Blue linked with Newcastle, missed the match with a tight hamstring while Armando Broja was brought on for Kai Havertz in the second half. Interest in Broja has cooled on Tyneside while Newcastle have a pending loan offer on the table for Werner.

Hudson-Odoi was surprised he wasn’t included in the squad yesterday. For the third time, the winger has asked to leave Stamford Bridge. His promising career has been blighted by injuries and poor form over the past three seasons but is a player who possesses undoubted quality

Newcastle have been linked with Hudson-Odoi this summer. The winger doesn’t appear to be seeking a permanent exit but hopes a loan move can be worked out. Fabrizio Romano reported yesterday that both Southampton and Leicester are involved in talks.

Chelsea have a trio of high-profile players looking for moves away. The aforementioned Werner has attracted serious interest from his former club, RB Leipzig. Hakim Ziyech has been linked with an exit all summer long.

Hudson-Odoi is on £120k/week which Newcastle could justify adding to their wage structure. He also would fill a need with Eddie Howe looking to add a couple of attackers in this window. Newcastle will have to move quickly with other clubs making their move.

A report from earlier today claimed an approach has been made for RB Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko. The Slovenian could now be our top target but a record-breaking fee could be required to bring the 19-year-old to Tyneside.

If Newcastle can add Sesko and Hudson-Odoi on loan with a purchase option, that would significantly strengthen Howe’s options and cover in attacking areas. There remains a lot of work for that to become a reality.

Joelinton was brilliant yesterday. Playing simple balls in tight situation with such ease.

Definitely one of the best central midfielders in the league.

i think almiron has everything but a finish …thought since the friendlies with his non stop pressing and game play he would be a fixture but his reluctance to use right foot showed up yesterday….i think cho would fit in the way eddie seems to be moving the team…frazer murphy almiron lack finishing edge…a loan with option could be solution to wide player…still need back up striker though..

    Jane,
Not sure our Irish bloggers or Scottish or Northern Irish will be overly pleased with you classing them as all from the same country as the English. But it is quite an unusual thing to see twenty-two players starting a game all coming from the home nations, plus all the subs from Stoke.

all of Stoke’s squad yesterday were from the same country
    14 English
    3 Irish
    1 Scottish

I don’t know how your work that out.
You must need an upgrade or something

It would take a big bid for me to want us to sell Joelinton. I’d say he’s worth his fee now. Possibly more if you compare him to Cucurella, Fofana, etc. Another good season and the big teams will come knocking and his price will be 60-80m

Thoroughly enjoyed yesterday – apart from the bit where I got to the lift and it wasn’t working. Eventually got to my seat with some helping hands 🙂
Can’t remember a game where we so dominated another team. Looks like a long season ahead for Forest and we could’ve been the first side to score double figures in the PL.
The whole team played well except for Pope – who had nothing to do all game except catch a few crosses. 🙂 I hope he has many games like that! He could’ve gone forward as an extra attacker he had that little to do.
Bruno was Bruno. Brilliant all round.
Two great goals in their own different ways and really nothing to gripe about at all.
Definitely need a new striker though. When Wilson gets injured we’ll be in trouble if we don’t. Couldn’t believe when I read Wood is on 100k week.
Looking at Brighton shredding Manure, expect a tough game next week.
