Newcastle Announce Permanent Transfer Of Popular Defender

Newcastle have confirmed that Federico Fernandez has left the club to join La Liga’s Elche. The 33-year-old made 89 appearances since his arrival from Swansea four years ago.

Fernandez had a year left on his contract but has made a permanent switch to the Spanish club. Eddie Howe has often praised the Argentine’s leadership since he became the club’s head coach.

Injuries have plagued Fede over the past year. He was limited to just 7 appearances last season and also missed much of the pre-season with a calf injury. He returned to make the bench in our Carabao Cup win at Tranmere last week.

He joins Elche who are currently 17th in La Liga. They finished 13th last season. Here is the club’s announcement of their new center-back.

We wish Fede the best of luck on his new adventure. He has been a stellar servant for the club and his experience will help them remain in Spain’s top flight.

onmeedsun – and yeah, I am objective. I want our club to win obviously but I look at things like ref decisions objectively. For me, offside is offside and a penalty is a penalty regardless of who the teams are. Just my way.

Isak was on side because his toe was behind that off the Liverpool player
The position of his upper arms are not relevant according to the rules.
The VAR clerk didn’t know the rules and favoured Liverpool because he or she didn’t have the abulity to make the right call and didn’t want to be thought of as controversial.
VAR needs to have three staff and a majority decision system, otherwise inviduals can be got at and influenced and manipulated by media and as social media.

Leicester are in serious trouble. Unless they can really unite as a team and have a cracking few months, their top players are going to be trying to leave asap.

“A player is in an offside position if:
any part of the head, body or feet is in the opponents’ half (excluding the halfway line) and
any part of the head, body or feet is nearer to the opponents’ goal line than both the ball and the second-last opponent”

    Damn Bus.

And now the end is near
And so I face the final curtain
My friend, I’ll say it clear
I’ll state my case of which I’m certain
    I’ve lived a life that’s full
I’ve travelled each and every highway
And more, much more than this
    I did it my way
    Regrets I’ve had a few
But then again too few to mention
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption
    I planned each chartered course
Each careful step along the by-way
And more, much more than this
    I did it my way
    Yes, there were times
    I’m sure you knew
When I bit off more than I could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
I ate it up and spit it out
    I faced it all
    And I stood tall
    And did it my way
I’ve loved, I’ve laughed, and cried
I’ve had my fill, my share of losing
    And now, as tears subside
I find it all so amusing
To think I did all that
And may I say, not in a shy way
“Oh no, oh no, not me
    I did it my way”
For what is a man, what has he got?
If not himself then he has naught
To say the things he truly feels
And not the words of one who kneels
The record shows I took the blows
    And did it my way
    Yes, it was my way

2 seasons ago people complained that if the ball hit the upper arm “in the sleeve” area that it shouldn’t be considered a hand ball. So they changed the hand ball rule for last season. That means technically that you could score a goal with that part of the body.

They then updated the Offside rule last season, due the change in the handball rule, the upper arm the length of the sleeve was to be considered in the relative body positions for offsides. So yes the upper arms do factor into the off side determination. Or so that is how I understand it.

Will be interesting at the world cup as there will be a sensor in the ball and that will help determine the moment the ball is struck when timing the offside lines.

I’m going to give this window an 8/10. EH clear likes our set up and squad available at his disposal, I think Andersons emergence has stopped the powers that be unnecessarily going out and splashing out on another MF player, I can see that lad coming on leaps and bounds. He has a great tech ability and is strong for his age with quick feet and good balance under EH he will come good, he has all th3 attributes needed. I can see willock and longy getting better and grown further this seasosn after they know their positions arebsafe in the team. Therefore EH may feel that he cqn keep our powder dry until January for a big potential marquee signing if needed, let’s not forget how well we’ve done in 2022. The dressing room is settled and up for the battle. Isak was the big signing we needed that will propel us to the next Level with Bruno and St Maxi feeding him. The defence sorted with a better goal keeper England’s No1, Botman added along with Target and Trippier. We need Anderson, Willock and Longy to really step up to the plate, joelintont the beast and bruno will run our MF brilliantly, miggy has recently turned a corner for me since preseason and looks like a different player, looks physically stronger and not as lightweight, St maxi now looking for the pass and even tracking back and is a team player (never though I’d see it well done to him) hopefully Wilson can be used sparingly to stop the wear and tear on his body to stop the injuries as we have Isak now here to take the strain away. This young man is gonna be the real deal, how he performed against the Liverpool scumbags was a sight to behold and will get better and better. Our bench admittedly needs to improve, but Fraser looked OK when he came on last night, harries defences with bags of energy, Murphy needs to really up his game as I believe there is a player in there. All in all we have a a great top 8 squad which could quite easily exceed that if we stay away from injuries. We have a unique squad and a unique management set up that have set such an amazing togetherness and happy dressing room which we’ve not had since SBR KK days. That in itself is 10 points to our points tally alone. I’m buzzing how things have panned out so far. EH is tactical magician and great man manager wnd professional thatnkeeps all his players heads in the game. That dressing room probably has the best feel good factor in the Premier league. Hence why Isak was the only marquee signing needed at this stage. We are going to shock the Premier league this season, have done already with how we took the game to the 2 bug boys. Klopp was shell shocked for 70mins. That’s the EH factor. Have patience everyone and keep the faith and get behind our club. They have exceeded all my expectations so far.

Offside is offside folks. Show me one professional referee who says that Isak strike was onside and that would surprise me…can anyone find anyone saying it was onside, based on current rules, apart from Newcastle fans?

You have to ask yourself.is it worth it ???

You have stuck out like a sore thumb,so why not just graciously exit stage left ??

So what have we got then?

GK – Pope, Darlow, Gillespie (3)
Def – Trips, Manq, Targett, Lewis, Botman, Schar, Burn, Lascelles, Dummett (9)
CM – Bruno, Joelinton, Longstaff, Willock (4)
Wingers – ASM, Almiron, Fraser, Ritchie, Murphy (5)
ST – Isak, Wilson, Wood (3)

By my reckoning that’s only 24, so would leave us with the possibility of a free transfer coming in after the window shuts or potentially a late transfer sneaked in that we weren’t aware of.

They were woeful, but that didn’t stop the BT Sports commentary team fawning over them.

They were orgasming when Casemiro came on,then it got worse when Ronaldo came on..

I wish we were playing them on Saturday…
