During his press conference this morning, Eddie Howe was coy on the availability of his injured stars. He wouldn’t provide any clues as to the availability of Bruno Guimaraes, Allan Saint-Maximin, or Callum Wilson.
The reports the week have indicated that this weekend is too soon for attacking duo Saint-Maximin and Wilson. However, there is some optimism that Guimaraes will make his return in some capacity.
With that in mind, I am predicting Howe will name an unchanged team for the clash against Bournemouth tomorrow. Though Guimaraes should be available for a second-half cameo if necessary.
There are still a couple of selection headaches for the head coach though fatigue should no longer be an issue. Dan Burn and Sven Botman are in a battle to partner Fabian Schar at center-back. I suspect the young Dutchman has eclipsed the experienced Geordie in the pecking order for now.
Another potential battle, at least until Saint-Maximin returns, is on the left. Ryan Fraser has started in Allan’s absence but hasn’t made a significant impact. His place could be under threat from Elliot Anderson, who has made his mark each time he’s taken the pitch.
Howe may keep Fraser in the team tomorrow with Anderson available to come on either on the wing or in midfield. The teenager is pushing for his full Premier League debut and I wouldn’t be completely surprised if that happens tomorrow.

Hear, hear mate.
It was never in question your passion and love for the toon as you showed it many times and I know how it is to get sucked in to the drama and I like you admittedly became part of the problem even tho it’s the last thing I want to do. I don’t want to be that way and I skip a lot of posts nowadays because all I’ve ever wanted to do is connect with other like minded fans of the toon.
I first came on here to try and spread positivity that one day we will be rid of the tyrant because as you know and everyone else that during those dark times it was really hard but thankfully that’s behind us now and we have entered a really bright future were fantasies have become a reality. Anything is possible…
As you and I have said there is many many other posters who down the years have left the blog and it’s always a shame but that’s life and hopefully one day in the near future we see those names back on here.
Onwards and upwards

#109 on the last article your post has made zero sense at all. I’m about to go and pick my boy up so apologies in advance if I won’t respond to you in a timely manner. If you highlight what is the meaning of your post as it really doesn’t make much sense at all??

Cheers mate it’s been mad just switching up what I’ve always done and known but I’ve had the thought for a while that I’ve wanted to get in this kind of position I’m in now and give back with my own life experiences and it just feels right. I feel I have purpose and even tho I have learnt a skill in electrics this is were I feel at home.
I just think we clashed as I was clearly the better sparky 😉

Good #1 post that mate. Although it was a repost lol.
Good post though mate, and I concur fully. But the disagreements on here need to stop and the best way is to skip posts or not react at all.

Comment #5Forgive me if I am wrong, but was Bruno not pictured in training earlier in the week suggesting that he’ll be fit for tomorrow’s game? I may have read that wrong but I’d be surprised if all 3 of ASM, Bruno and Wilson weren’t back. I’d venture that Bruno will be in from the start ASM sprung from the bench to give him minutes (if he’s ready) and Wilson spared to give him more time to get back to fitness.
With that in mind I’d drop Longstaff for Bruno, J7 in usually role and I’d love to see Anderson in the advanced role from the start though I’d imagine Willock will get the nod and Anderson brought on from the bench. Would love to see Isak bag a couple tomorrow and get really settled into the league, he looks a great player.

I think in January we will bring in a good few youngsters to push for the first team but be part of the development squad and I’m excited by the names mentioned

Comment #10I am sure everybody has been keeping each other entertained with some blog jousting. Way behind, so wouldn’t know, but could hazard a good guess.
Rarely a dull moment on here.
Anyway — if it hasn’t been mentioned, FPL transfer cut-off time is 18:30. So this is the last chance to change your mind on any players.

I’m glad I’m not the only one panicking over this deadline, felt I was in the Twilight Zone talking to myself about the transfer deadline!
Gone for the Toon triple-up, City triple-up, sold Jesus, TAA and Salah and gone for more flexibility in my squad. Big differential GW this could be!

Comment #12Ruddy, I finally settled on my team at 18:20. Been tinkering for days. I’ve played my free-hit.
Just a little worried about Haaland being rested. But it’s near impossible to not play and captain him.

Sorry, was dinner time.
Sounds like a plan in midfield.
I like the idea of Bruno, Jo & mr A.
Looks to me like both jo and Bruno can break opponents attacks up, need to see more of mr A to see if he’s got that in his locker. He looks tough tho.

Great to hear that mate.

I got very fortunate – I’d played my wildcard last week, but with the postponments it was rolled over into this week which has given me way more flex to play with my squad. As I said, I completely overhauled it and actually have been keeping an eye on City/Arsenal game in GW 12 being postponed. I had an Arsenal and City triple up and I couldn’t see any way of getting around that postponed game without massively slashing my dependence on one of those sides. As it stood I only have the one Arsenal player – Martinelli, while keeping the City triple-up.
I’ve gone with the logic that even if Haaland is rested and comes on and plays 20 minutes, there’s every chance he scores a hat-trick in those 20 minutes – he’s that good – so I’m perma-captaining him from now until the end of the season.

Thanks for reminding people about the FPL deadline. With it being a weird time on a Friday I meant to come on earlier and post the deadline but I got sidetracked.
Hopefully everyone was able to adjust their teams to take into account the cancelled games.
Oh, and good luck to NY Mag! I suppose our game is a North Eastern United States derby of sorts 😀 NY vs CT

Comment #16Obviously going to a win for us this weekend but don’t expect it to be an easy game. I think it’ll be close without Bruno and ASM in the team. Our defence is solid and with Isak up front I think we’ll have enough to shade it. Going for a 2-1 win.

I’d be amazed if we conceded against this Bournemouth team. I think we’ll have too much for them in all areas so would expect us to keep a clean sheet at the very least (I should hope so as I’ve Pope and Trips in my FPL team! haha)

Comment #19Also, with the England squad being announced, if Maguire goes to the World Cup ahead of Dan Burn (which will probably happen) then Southgate needs to get his heed checked oot. Burn has been solid and Maguire, on the rare occasions he’s played this season, has been awful.

We’re absolutely capable of keeping a clean sheet against them, I agree, but I’m just so used to us letting one in and then having a nervy last 15-20 minutes trying to hold on for the three points. Nowts easy with this club!

Our defensive record against non-top 6 sides has been stellar and Bournemouth aren’t all that impressive as an attacking outfit. We will certainly go out to dominate possession so unless they score a scrappy set-piece goal – which of course can always happen – I just don’t see how else they could score.
On the flip side, I reckon if we click and get the chances to Isak we could smasha couple past them at the other end.

Comment #23Fenham, TDS did a fairly precise critique on evidence to suggest you had come back as an alt. Scorer 1971 was pretty unpleasant with me and was tacitly over love of royalty suggesting violence with peaceable guys (that wudnt be me so! :)). So that’s what that post was referring to. Either way let’s try to all move on. Maybe CH will be on later for a pint. Im finished cutting the grass now, with hope of a steak later 🙂

You are a miserable aul git though to be fair so of course you’d doubt our ability to beat Bournemouth lol
We should worry if we’re not comfortably putting 2 or 3 past Bournemouth at home given they are manager-less and have performed quite poorly in their opening fixtures but stranger things have happened in this league.

I think Chris Sutton (don’t like him) said we’d win 4-0, which I could have gone along with if we’d had ASM and Bruno, but without them I still think it’s a 2-1 win. Fingers crossed!

Comment #29How disappointing that ASM still isn’t ready to play. It would be great to get Bruno back. No expectations at all for Wilson.
Hard to accept how we play such an exciting game against Man City, and then we’re immediately without Wilson, Bruno, and ASM for the foreseeable future. I know the excitement factor is there and we should all be thrilled, etc etc. Still, I can’t get to the point where I can overlook how aggravating this is becoming.
