It was revealed this morning that Newcastle have reached an agreement in principle to sign Garang Kuol from Central Coast Mariners. The forward will arrive on Tyneside for a medical and to finalize personal terms later this week.
Some further details have since emerged on the potential deal. The Mail has revealed that Newcastle will pay just £300,000 for the 18-year-old, which is the amount of his release clause.
He will head out on loan once the move is official in January. As reported initially, there are a number of European clubs eager to bring him in for the remainder of the season.
The Northern Echo has indicated that personal terms will not be an issue. Once everything is sorted, Kuol will return to Australia to start the season with Central Coast Mariners. Their season kicks off next weekend against Newcastle Jets.
Barring any unforeseen issues, Kuol will be Newcastle’s first signing of the winter window. It’s a window Newcastle are expected to be active in despite spending north of £100m in the summer.
Newcastle have been heavily linked with Leicester’s James Maddison and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk. It should be another exciting window as the club continues to build toward a bright future.

Comment #2Saw someone tip this player on the blog earlier this week. He seems to be having a great season with his hometown club, after being tipped to leave in the summer.

Comment #4Get Maddison, Mudryk, and a top quality CB like Lacroix from Wolfsburg to replace Schar in January and we are set.
We need a pacey CB as our back line lacks pace and Lacroix has bundles of it.
with this team we can beat anyone

I think it was Tyran21 who highlighted Enzo in response to some Shelvey replacement speculation.
He can certainly pick a pass from the footage I watched.

Not really a DM though, but he does put in effort doing the dirty work which I really like. Not sure what’s Howe’s plan regarding getting a DM in.

Lacroix would be a great purchase. Got all the minerals to make it as a top PL CB.
Definitely needs to be the type of player we need to be targeting

OK see the comment now. ToonDarnSarf mate? To be balanced you can make some very good points I’ve seen a few to be fair, however. It will be very interesting to hear your thinking as to why you’d honestly think Hendricks was a coup.
I’ll help you a wee bit, maybe it was a coup in the Ashley era? Even then that free signing was a slap in our faces as supporter’s if thats the best we could do. Strange point to make in all honesty #scratchingmyheademoji.com

#21 Southgate normally speaks very well, he is an eloquent talker to be fair. However, it’s his negative defensive play it safe approach just as he was as a player that he has brought into his management style and set up is the main issue.
I posted earlier that we only witnessed the proper England when we went 2:0 down, then we had to get the bull by the horns and go on the front foot. We went 3:2 up in 12mins.. the England squad really do have the potential to go all the way.
A good thing on the back of that above comeback is when it comes down to finals, the players can go all gun ho and just go for it.

Comment #36Mund, exactly my point. I see no proof that you were in favour of Hendrick but there were times that most fans were pleased to see almost anyone through the door. Those were also the times we got Hendrick on a free.
It does seem to me that your posts were essentially designed to belittle TDS.
