Bargain Fee Has Been Revealed For Looming January Signing

It was revealed this morning that Newcastle have reached an agreement in principle to sign Garang Kuol from Central Coast Mariners. The forward will arrive on Tyneside for a medical and to finalize personal terms later this week.

Some further details have since emerged on the potential deal. The Mail has revealed that Newcastle will pay just £300,000 for the 18-year-old, which is the amount of his release clause.

He will head out on loan once the move is official in January. As reported initially, there are a number of European clubs eager to bring him in for the remainder of the season.

The Northern Echo has indicated that personal terms will not be an issue. Once everything is sorted, Kuol will return to Australia to start the season with Central Coast Mariners. Their season kicks off next weekend against Newcastle Jets.

Barring any unforeseen issues, Kuol will be Newcastle’s first signing of the winter window. It’s a window Newcastle are expected to be active in despite spending north of £100m in the summer.

Newcastle have been heavily linked with Leicester’s James Maddison and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Mykhaylo Mudryk. It should be another exciting window as the club continues to build toward a bright future.

It would be something of an amazing story if Garang Kuol goes out on loan to Europe and kills it with goals.

I just hope we don’t play the he’s to young for the premier bullshit card.

If he can do the job, let him do the job.

    For clarification

Anyone who is signed I back and get behind as most of us do. Under the Ashley days when bringing players in and even tho they were underwhelming we hoped and prayed they could make a difference but on a good few of those and with most it never turned out well

    That’s interesting.

Billson commends the signing of Hendrick.

But you totally and laughably wimp out of commenting on that, because he knows more about the game than you do and you cow tow, so you say nothing.

Meanwhile I see Kevin Vegan is there, before you hounded him off the blog.

And then you hounded Adam because your paranoid head thought they were the same people.

Mund, you’re an awful knob 🙂

No joke – around 15 years ago I bought a trench coat I loved it when I saw it. As soon as mates and colleagues saw it I was “Columbo” or “Inspector Gadget”.

Ideally we need someone with on the left to replace Targett, as solid as a left back he is he just doesn’t offer much going forward, he lacks any pace. and we need someone as solid backup to trippier as he is 32 year old now and wont be able to play to a high level much longer

Kratfth, Manquillo, and Lewis just aren’t good enough. i cant wait until we sell Manquillo, lingered around way too long for my liking.

But yeah, priority should be Maddison as he would instantly improve our attacking options.

Next should be Mudryk to replace Almiron. love Almiron, but he just will never reach that level we need for what we are aiming for.

Next I would go for a quality LB to replace Targett, solid squad player but again just doesn’t have the pace or that standout quality we need. Renan Lodi would of been a solid purchase

Then we need someone to replace Willock/Longstaff in that midfield, as those two again are just not at the level we are aiming for. bang average.

    Sell –

    Murphy
    Fraser
    Shelvey
    Dumett
    Gillespie
    Wood
    Richie
    Dubravka
    Lascelles
    Manquillo
    Hendrick
    Clark
    Hayden

Wow. that is some list of bang average dead wood that needs to go.

    Some won’t like this

Saudi Arabia’s powerful Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been appointed prime minister – a post that is traditionally held by the king.

The 37-year-old son of King Salman bin Abdulaziz, 86, is already seen the de facto ruler of the oil-rich Gulf state.

Some f**kwits on here will try to create an argument out of anything. Thank you to those who have provided proof that there were several people on this blog who felt Hendrick was a good signing at the time, especially on a free.

He was a big part of a very successful Burnley team and there would have been several other clubs in for him. Loads of experience, a good age, plenty of international caps etc. A good profile for a signing based on where we were at the time.

Saying otherwise is just reinventing the truth. Some of us are man (or woman) enough to say that we were proven wrong in the end. I still maintain that it seemed like a good signing and just didn’t work out for whatever reason.

Not at all Mund, I like football, pool, chicken wings and pre Elizabeth II postboxes, my posts reflect this.

I only debate with you because you do have an issue with certain people irrespective of what they say and this is not a trait I appreciate. But I love the posts you do when you don’t do that.

Speaking of detectives what makes you so sure Raj/Jail is Nijmegen?

Having said all that I am not innocent, I accuse Jedi of being a wum and I remain unconvinced that Dean0 is not some Kets alt.

I could be wrong about most of that though, in which case I would say sorry.

Hendrick averaged over 30 PL games a season for Burnley in the 4 seasons prior to him joining us, 2 of which had Burnley finish in the top 10.

He was never a star signing but I recall lots of people being happy they we were the team to get him.

Reading have ended up with Jeff Hendricks what a great coup for them eh, mind you they’re 3rd in the championship maybe that great coup of a signing some the job eh?. Howay ffs,. It was an atrocious signing for NUFC even at the time totally underwhelming,, he was so out of his depth I actually felt sorry for the man in the end as it was hard to witness and on the back of that isn’t even good enough to keep his place for Ireland, warms the bench ffs

Hendricks is the type of signing we will never make again going forward, them signings are history and should never be mentioned as a coup. Saying Hendricks was a coup tells me you have the same strange irrational thinking as the fly fisherman himself auld Munster Mag. What is your WhatsApp group called the irrational Kuol and the gang. 😆

ToonDarnSarf you can do much better than such statements above, too many kebabs can really screw the mind up. 😉

In reference to Jeff Hendrick he was most definitely Bruced when playing for the Toon as i`ve watched him many times playing for Ireland against some top international teams and he finished up man of the match for Ireland, at the time under the unmentionable one he was a decent signing, he clearly wouldn`t be good enough now under the new ownership. Thank God we have moved on from the Dark and Gloomy days of the old regime HWTL

A brilliant multitude of perspectives reference a player is so intriguing.

These people are in the limelight and yes, they are compensated for it, but we really have to look at the bigger picture.

The judgement is on an international player with a professional contract. He is surely near the top of his game?

What is the benchmark and would we ever achieve that level in our own profession?

We shouldn’t compare every employee against the best….but it appears we do.
