Almiron Bags Yet Another October Award

Miguel Almiron has added to his collection of awards for his exploits during October. The Paraguayan has been named The PFA Fan’s Player of the Month. He already won awards for Player of the Month and Goal of the Month.

Almiron bagged 6 goals in October to help Newcastle surge up the table. His excellent form continued into this month with a goal and an assist in his two league starts.

This week Miggy was with the Paraguay squad for friendlies at Peru and Colombia. Paraguay did not qualify for the World Cup in Qatar. In yesterday’s friendly at Peru, Alimron was substituted for at halftime.

The Shields Gazette is reporting today that Almiron will not feature in the friendly at Colombia on Saturday. The 28-year-old has reportedly withdrawn from the Paraguay squad with what has been called muscle overload.

Most Magpies not involved in the World Cup are resting this week. It appears that Almiron, who has started every league match this season, was in need of a break. He’ll now get that opportunity.

The guy who has just had a go at at him, who’s been on here two months has had a glowing endorsement of a guy who says he’s being chased off the blog. Wake up and smell the coffee!!!

Agatha Christie, Columbo and Scooby Do, they were great!

If you lost the thread of the mystery, someone talked you through all the twists at the end, then unmasked the villain!

If anyone is watching I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here…

The more I’m watching it the more Im pretty convinced Lesh is Boy George. How is he managing to post mischief on here whilst in the jungle. I thought mobile devices were not allowed in camp? Therefore where the hell did he manage to stash his handheld device I wonder? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm Hmmmmmmmmmmm I can see Lesh chanting each morning when he drags himself from his pit: Nam-myoho-renge-kyo – Nam-myoho-renge-kyo.

    🙂

And you were referring to others’ posts being unethical? Unethical? Have you got the right word?

If people read comments #145 and #148 it doesn’t exactly show Beermonkey as a saint like Raj claims. Beers comment wasn’t as bad as Rajs but you can still see his intention. So don’t know who fa**ist Raj is defending. His alt or his homie?

It is just banter, until it isn’t. Apparently people have picked sides too, according to some. When does banta cross a line, for who, and why?

The reality is people will always disagree. Anything could be a healthy debate (and
and often is) but it seems some here don’t want that….I suspect there are reasons for that.

For proof all that is required is to check the last couple of hours of chat.

I shall end with this thought – there is one thing (technically 2) that I think we all have in common….answers on a postcard with a tenner attached*

*all proceeds go to Wor B at his usual address.

Your words @180 are wasted on those who seem to thrive on confrontation.

As far as your fee’s concerned, I’ve transferred the tenner into WorB’s IPA account. It’ll be put to good use, I’m sure. 😉

The postal strikes and the Royal Mail’s proposal to stop delivering on Saturday will play havoc with the powerfully hopped IPA appeal. To be on the safe side can you send another £10 please?

You’re right and as there might be more strikes on the horizon, I’ll set up a monthly standing order – will £40 be enough? If others do the same, you should have enough to ensure essential supplies when these hard times become harder.

    Hey ho.

I think there needs to be some sort of protest or show. Boycotting that one game is more palatable than boycotting the entire WC. I’d respect anyone who boycotts the whole thing though, it’s a disgrace. There should be no place for bribes in football. Toneys possibly getting 6 months ban for betting, yet Qatar bribed a WC and nobody dare accuse them officially. All the investigations are targetting the people they bribed who are only human after all so at least it’s somewhat understandable on their part.

    Ok,
    Ronaldo.

Possibly the best player to ever play the game. The records speak for themselves.

So much talk about the interview and how bad he is as a person and so many opinions.

I like to shape my own opinion, so watched it.

    Conclusions:

Never heard him talk so expansively. Expresses himself well, but surprisingly boringly. You expect every sentence to be like a super goal. He’s just a guy.

Talks as he feels, honestly. A big plus.

It hurts him when he’s criticised.

He himself criticised people but if he can’t, then who can? This “you shouldn’t criticise your boss, they pay you so much”, why not? They don’t own you. Btw, if you have something to say at your job, say it! (Be careful, you may get fired… But if you have millions, do it)

He is a humble/proud person, I was expecting more Mohamed Ali, I’m the greatest!

    Conclusion:

Ronaldo my man, quit while you’re ahead. Your best talking was on the field. Know when to walk.
