Newcastle Hoping To Fend Off EPL Trio For Future Free Agent – Report

Newcastle are among a quartet of Premier League clubs interested in Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram according to The Sun. The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer with Eddie Howe keen on landing him as a free agent.

Thuram can talk to clubs beginning in January with the Magpies along with Liverpool, Arsenal, and Spurs all interested. Newcastle have had a long interest in Thuram, who is the son of former French international Lillian Thuram.

Before the forward made his move to Germany in that infamous summer of 2019, Newcastle were linked with him. At the time, his French club Guingamp had been relegated to Ligue 2 with Thuram entering the final year of his contract.

Thuram has four caps for France, and his blistering form this season has him in Didier Deschamps World Cup squad. Following an injury-blighted season with just 3 goals, the 25-year-old has 13 already this season.

The right-footed attacker can play as an out-and-out striker or an inside forward on the left. He is known for his pace and power and is a handful for defenders on his day. As a free agent, he would provide outstanding value if Newcastle can fend off the competition for his signature.

Which Would You Prefer Newcastle Achieve This Season?

Repost as I know you love it Raj lad…

Raj as I know (more than any other poster on here) you monitor and manipulate the hearts system on this blog…Really Sad from a grown man to be honest. Just FYI I hearted your post #114 (from previous article) Does it give you some sort of sanctuary when you rack the hearts up when attacking fellow posters such as Mund et al ? It is blatantly obvious it does. Blatant!!!!!

Hi mate, apparently there is a system on how to do it. There has been a few people mention it on here now. It’s an absolute joke. Just look at my post #2 that is clear proof as someone has manipulated that many. This blog can turn into a petty playground.

It embarrassing to be put it mildly.

There is a term of abuse in politics: a “gammon”. It refers to a middle-aged white man of a certain political persuasion. He is a Brexiteer. He is ugly. He is a conservative. He may wear hideous trousers. And, because he is a Brexiteer and so very ugly and a conservative who may wear hideous trousers, why not call him a gammon?

Stick with it my friend – The bickering in fighting is a pain in the rrrse but my attitude is I won’t let the bar stewards grind me down.

There are many very good and informative posters on here that I find of great interest so why would you let a few negative folk push you out.

However I do admit it’s very testing at times!

Since I started reading the blog Raj has always been the main offender. He has argued with so many because if he doesn’t like anyones opinion he becomes offensive. He is like a cult leader that needs followers and anyone who rejects his cult gets attacked. He is also like them EDL members in how he speaks. That’s just in my opinion. Others however might disagree. The followers…….

In the UK the BBC World Cup coverage starts today at 3pm on the telly.-BBC1
I think the Quatar game kicks off at 4pm.
So the first hour should include info about the whole competition/teams etc.
Should give the low down on all the teams.

    Gammon…that’s completely new to me.

If it refers to stuffy white middle aged blokes in bad trousers, does that mean Tuffty is like old, gone off gammon, perhaps curling up at the sides, and going off colour.

Not to be engaged with, as you might become sick ?

Dayvan, can you clarify what gammon is?

    Cheers

Fair enough, though I try and avoid insults. Don’t know what satisfaction people get out of it. Ultimately no problem, each to their own.

    Switching gears =>

It’s going to be a long 6 weeks without any real Toon related action.

I’ve very little interest in England football team, and even less invested in watching this world cup.

Might just next call by after Christmas

I always thought “gammon” was a lefty, wokerati term for anyone who spoke common sense that they disagreed with.

Like someone saying “there are only 2 x biological sexes” that usually gets them going. 😆

Munster – it refers to any right wing wanker , regardless of colour or wealth of a right wing persuasion… basically if you’re a c*%t or a twat you’re most likely also a gammon
Not sure why young uns need new insult terms .. nowt wrong with what we already have .. although I guess a lot of words are banned online so hence the new words

BTW – you do know rugby union is mainly a southern sport and rugby in general is a minority sport in the North.. not many I know really give a toss about rugby in general unless England get to a final of course …then the gammons come out 😀

With regard to local & National Identity for me it’s always NUFC first & foremost and England come 2nd. I’m very proud of my Northumbrian roots. My forefathers were Blacksmiths at Chillingham Castle. 🙂

From a National perspective it’s in this order

    England
    Ireland – North & South
(I have connections from my maternal side (Great Grandma) & I believe that’s where my love of Ireland & it’s musical heritage comes from)

In the past, if England weren’t playing I used to follow Scotland but after some of the sh1te stuff against England from north of the border and “Wee Jimmy Krankie” and her spouting off. I’ve sorta lost interest in them.

I’ve nothing against Wales but they don’t really float my boat – however I can do a good Welsh accent when I wish!

To be honest, if the overnight/early morning codswallop on here is anything to go by, then removing one’s self from the blog until the SA friendly is upon us seems a sensible idea.

It can only get worse. As a diverse bunch of people with only one common interest, history shows that with the removal of that interest, only mayhem remains. Sad but true. 🙂
