Newcastle are among a quartet of Premier League clubs interested in Borussia Monchengladbach’s Marcus Thuram according to The Sun. The 25-year-old is out of contract in the summer with Eddie Howe keen on landing him as a free agent.
Thuram can talk to clubs beginning in January with the Magpies along with Liverpool, Arsenal, and Spurs all interested. Newcastle have had a long interest in Thuram, who is the son of former French international Lillian Thuram.
Before the forward made his move to Germany in that infamous summer of 2019, Newcastle were linked with him. At the time, his French club Guingamp had been relegated to Ligue 2 with Thuram entering the final year of his contract.
Thuram has four caps for France, and his blistering form this season has him in Didier Deschamps World Cup squad. Following an injury-blighted season with just 3 goals, the 25-year-old has 13 already this season.
The right-footed attacker can play as an out-and-out striker or an inside forward on the left. He is known for his pace and power and is a handful for defenders on his day. As a free agent, he would provide outstanding value if Newcastle can fend off the competition for his signature.

You’re like an elephant with a broken memory and selective memory. You never forget that game yet strangely you never mention the game where we beat city 2-1 under rafa and were quite outstanding on the day. Fair and balanced – do me a favour.

Comment #87For the record I come from a mining family who have a long history of voting Labour, like most people from South Shields. I however have no interest in politics whatsoever and find it BORING!!! but if anything I would be influenced by the generations before me should I be forced to vote.

Comment #89Just been watching that vid on twitter of Even Botman, OMG he is just supreme, and the thing I loved most, he never just hoofs it out, he always hits a Newcastle player, his pass rate must be great, and I love he defends with his hands behind his back when in the penalty area.
How on earth did we manage to get him.

Comment #92I’m pleased he’s not going to the WC can’t be having him injured, plus he’s young and got lots of time to go to other ones.
He’s now my favourite player, “Shelvey Who”?

Try mixing some shredded newspaper in with your compost.
But be careful with the newspaper titles, don’t want your dahlias leaning too far left or right, try a Guardian/Mail mix for starters?

Comment #101I’d take Botman above Ake, but with defenders it’s not as easy as attackers to come in and make an immediate impact, you have to gel and learn to become part of a back 4 or 3. Having said that, I’d still have took him though

Yeah sure sweet cheeks, it refers to you and a few others Fenham, shocked you had to ask really, and for what it means, well it’s generally a slur relating to the archetype of a red-faced, angry, pompous, jingoistic, and stereotypically British right-winger….. Hope that clears things up”
Your answer above cleared things up for me alright. It shows me exactly what type of man you are….Are you British DayvanCowboy?

If you are on Facebook send me a friends request and you’ll see the damage to my rear bumper from Tuesday.
Botman is a clever player but I still rate Shelvey! But there’s a lot of competition for places now. I think you’ll find there are 3 or 4 outgoings come January! But then again who am I to know? Time will tell.

Comment #109Botman. Someone mentioned yesterday about how can Netherlands have 7 defenders better than the Cyberdyne designed Botman? I have no idea. I presume Netherlands will win the WC with no goals scored against them.
