England boss Gareth Southgate is determined to protect Newcastle striker Callum Wilson. According to The Athletic, the 30-year-old is on a different program from the rest of the squad.

Eddie Howe implemented something similar for his star striker after his latest injury in September. Southgate will take precautions to help ensure Wilson remains fit during this World Cup.

Wilson is one of many England players that didn’t participate in today’s session. Southgate also rested his starting eleven while Leicester City’s James Maddison has yet to train with the squad after suffering a minor knee injury before the break.

Wilson came on for Harry Kane in yesterday’s 6-2 win over Iran. Kane was limping after the match but is reportedly fine today. Callum provided the assist on Jack Grealish’s goal in the 90th minute. Kieran Trippier played the entire match which had 24 minutes of added time.

Next up for England is the United States, who drew 1-1 against Wales in their opener yesterday. The Americans dominated the first half before Wales manager Rob Page tweaked his tactics bringing striker Bournemouth striker Kieffer Moore on for Leeds’ Daniel James after the break.

The tactical change resulted in a much better half for Wales, who equalized on a converted penalty from Gareth Bale. United States boss Gregg Berhalter opted against bringing young Dortmund star Gio Reyna on despite the 20-year-old declaring he is 100% fit and ready to go.

Fair enough mate.
But, for the record: i didn’t, and couldn’t, wouldn’t say ‘every’ about the Welsh, Scots, Irish etc, that would be dumb.
There’s a hell of a lot of mistrust, chagrin and, dare i say, hate out there for england, across the world due to our imperial past.
Rightly so!
On heritage: “Scottish if forced, english when necessary… (Geordie)Reiver, by blood!”

Atrocious start, like our whole 2022 year, but it seem this team is still able to respond the challenge.
Our defense is still a concern and Tchouaméni was a bit disapointing, but Rabiot and Dembélé were the very good surprises of this game, they look far more mature than some years ago.
Excellent entrance of T.Hernandez in place of his unfortunate brother…
And last but not least, Giroud scored his 50th and 51st goals with les bleus… so his now level with our best scorer of all time… Thierry Henry…

I have started my final treatment with the Pro-Victo readioactive isotope for my late stage 4 prostate cancer.

I had my second infusion last Monday and the positives are that I am having few side effects so far from the treatment.

The full treatment is six infusions, one every six weeks, and the first few days after each infusion are crucial in terms of cleanliness and hygiene since the radioative isotope is active for about 3 days in the body.

That's the good news.

Unfortunately the bad news is that my wife Madeline was diagnosed with Covid two days ago.

We are working with the Cancer Center in Garner on how to handle this difficulty.

We will keep you updated on our medical conditions as the journey continues.
