As suspected, Gareth Southgate has named an unchanged eleven for England’s Group B clash against The United States. Harry Kane is fine to start with Callum Wilson available from the bench.

Kieran Trippier will get his 39th cap for England as he keeps his place at right-back. The 32-year-old has been sensational this season for Newcastle and was very good in the 6-2 win over Iran.

For the USA, manager Gregg Berhalter has made just one change with Haji Wright on for Norwich striker Josh Sargent. Wright came on for Sargent in the 1-1 draw against Wales. The 24-year-old has 9 goals this season for Turkey’s Antalyaspor.

England are heavy favorites to pick up their second win after downing Iran 6-2 on Monday. The United States only managed a draw against Wales, who were defeated 2-0 by Iran earlier today.

I picked you guys to win 3-0 and it could still happen, but the USA are running rings round you and should be at least 2 goals up at halftime, not to worry Southgate will give on of his stirring passionate inspirational speeches at halftime and everything will be okie dokie in the second half 😀 😀

After watching NUFC under the guidance of Eddie this past year. It’s a bore fest watching England. The root cause is Southgate why England are playing this type of football. We have a top 5 in the world squad of players, so you must ask the question; Why are we playing with such a lack of a tempo and front foot football. Still think we will win it though. We have too many game changers that will turn the game over. I said 2:0 before the game, I’m sticking with it

Give Kane until 70th min, if he doesn’t improve bring on England’s best striker Wilson.

Shaw is actually playing well, if Walker gets back in the team it’s hard to see Trippier starting again because he’s not gonna play him in his weaker position on the left when Shaw is playing quite well.
Trippier needs to start making an impact or he could see himself frozen out of this team.

Jail I’d prefer Greylish myself but I’m pretty sure that Greylish can’t play in the middle, isn’t he left? Foden will take that, and Rashford on right, so cm goes to Gallagher. But I could be wrong now.

Dya know what Kane has done nothing, I’d bring Wilson on. Maybe that’s my Newcastle head talking but it doesn’t matter how good Kane is if he’s not affecting the play.

We need changes and quick. It’s embarrassing we are getting pegged back so much. I knew USA are no mugs but this is embarrassing and changes are needed as this group of players that are on the pitch are not connecting. Foden would be my choice to get on straight away to get some zip into the team. Grealish to keep the ball. But hold on ffs is that Jordan Henderson coming on hahaha I give up

I have an update on what's happening with my treatment for prostate cancer.

Last week, my oncologist called me late in the day and said he thought it was best to terminate my treatment with radium 223 dichloride because it was having such a negative effect on my health - specifically my digestive system.

I had completed 3 of the planned 6 infusions.

They had looked at the bone scans and three CAT scans I had early last week, and they showed no signs of the cancer spread being slowed or stopped: in fact, it was continuing to spread and my PSA account continued to rise.

The only treatment left now is to go back and have another bout of chemotherapy with docetaxel being the medication used.

I understand this will be a 7-month job with 10 sessions 3 weeks apart - almost double my first chemo treatment in Apil 2017, when I has 6 treatmnts.

The problem I have is that I'm in a very poor physical state right now, due to my digestive system being basically torn apart by the radium 223.

The radium 223 has leaked into my digestive system and caused me to have severe diarrhea, nausea, and heartburn, and it was (is) very serious.

They said it was too dangerous to proceed with the radium 223 treatment, with little benefit being shown.

I am also suffering from severe exhaustion, basically, because I have zero testosterone, and all the treatments I've had for the cancer, have further lessened the energy available to me.

It reminds me of the saying that if cancer doesn’t kill you - the treatment will (laugh).

It will probably take up to 8 weeks to get back to a physical state where I can start chemotherapy, and that's where I am now, but the cancer continues to spread in the bones.

I've also been put in touch with the dietitian from UNC Healthcare, who will help me get back my health - she is very helpful.

So that's where it stands it's been quite a journey over 12 years and I think I've had almost every treatment available.

It has really taken a toll on my body and on my energy, but that's where it stands and obviously, I'll do the best I can in the upcoming months with chemo and hope I can get through it.

It is as it is - and another challenge in life.
