Newcastle fans have seen precious little from record-signing Alexander Isak since his arrival at the end of August. The striker has managed just 3 appearances due to a thigh injury picked up during international duty in September.
Isak started his Magpie career with a bang scoring on his debut in the narrow defeat to Liverpool. He added a second to his tally by converting a penalty in the draw against Bournemouth. As it stands, Alex has 2 goals in his 3 appearances.
The Swede is expected to be ready to go when the season resumes next month. Hopefully, he’ll be able to partake in at least one of December’s friendlies. His return could be timely depending on how far England advance in the World Cup.
The 23-year-old has recently spoken out on his move to Tyneside in an interview with Scandinavian Vogue that Sport Witness has published. Despite his injury frustration, Alex remains thrilled with his decision to join Newcastle United saying:
“It’s a dream come true as I always wanted to play in the Premier League.
“It’s fast and simple football, so it suits my game. Also, I really like the city because everyone who lives in Newcastle is a Newcastle fan, so you can really feel the passion. It’s a special feeling.
“I understand that with the amount of money invested in today’s industry there are a lot of expectations.
“I try to remember that the amount of the transfer had nothing to do with me, it was between the two clubs, so I try to keep focused on what is in my control, which is football and my game.”
Despite Newcastle’s high position in the league table, Eddie Howe has yet to field his strongest eleven. Both Isak and Allan Saint-Maximin were missing for much of the recent run up the table.
The goal for Howe and the lads is to somehow keep the momentum from before the break when the season resumes. Having Isak back and ready to go will make that target much easier to reach.

Watched Canada against Belgium and the team done your country proud mate.
What’s more the Canadian Manager is non other that John Herdman who is from Consett County Durham. He idolised the man himself none other than Sir Bobby Robson. So he is probably one of the Toon Army such as yourself. A good article on him below, but this guys high press against Belgium was straight out of Wor Wddies tactics. Good team you have there mate:

Comment #11Game today, tight 1st half with a high press from USA. 2nd half they will tire.
Talking about tyres, just had MOT. Passed, all 4 tyres will require replacing soon. Won’t be cheap on a Weybridge Wagon (pug joke there)

Comment #12Potts, first hosting team to be out after 2 group games. They have spent 6 months together, not played much competitive footie. Apparently, when they were awarded the tournament 22 years ago, they set up a High Performance Academy to bring through young players.
I am not certain but I heard Mike Ashly funded it. Stuck in £2

Comment #14Massive game tonight – might be tricky but I think we will win.
We need to adopt a fighting performance and fight and fight.
Indeed we need to adopt the attitude as portrayed by William Shakespeares description of King Henrys words during the seige of Harfleur in France.
“‘Once more unto the breech, dear friends, once more'”.
Our new cannons battered the Frenchies and they surrendered.
Later the Frenchies and the Yanks fought against us to steal our land in America.
Got to give them a whopping tonight.
Come on England 3 -0

I think you know me well enough to realise i dont dish out threats to any individual, but i have no doubt your superiors in the British military security forces would strongly advice their servicemen putting things on social media which could possibly leave them or their familys`s in a precarious or valnearable position, as the saying goes, sometimes less is more. I was not having a pop at you Fenham, there is some ruthless and dangerous people out there, so sometimes it`s better on social media to think things through carefully and consider not just yourself but your whole family mate.

I believe they are, and you’re dead right, they’d never had made there if it was in Saudi, I’m surprised it wasn’t a joint venture but given their diplomatic relationship, maybe not. At least Saudoli has had a presence at a good few tournaments.

Aye, noticed the Yedders is still kicking the ball about.
The centre of our defence is a concern definitely, I’m hoping we’ve got too much going the other way for them to be involved that much.
Can’t see the septics bothering our 18 yard box that much.
On paper, an easy win pal.

Re your posts #169
If you read my post properly #166 you will see I’ve no issue with your post. Just stated I couldn’t give 2 fooks about what I’ve posted about my past and how I’ve served queen and country.
This is a football blog ffs. I appreciate there are ruthless and dangerous people out there but are you really saying I’m now in danger as to me saying where I served?
Will I now have Munster making his way over the pond on his dingy, or TDS frantically cycling here with Lesh and AdamnEve on a bicycle made for 3. Or ZG on his way in a very slow ship from China swigging gallons of rice wine on the way. Or Raj who will have a slow walk down in his clogs, or a vicious Pug that’s gonna do some Zoomies for me. Or DrGloom will attack me with his trombone. Or maybe Ashingdoon sending his hard as fook sons to beat me up. In fact they may all be on their way now. I’ll get on the red phone now and get reinforcements down…. Just in case this band of faceless avatars turn out to be ruthless and dangerous. Haha no dig at you Magic at all mate, promise just read my response. I was not having a go at you at all. I respect you.
But yeah I couldn’t give 2 fooks about anything I’ve posted on here.

Comment #27Agree Potts, Qatar are dreadful worst team I recall watch at a WC.
Their fans are pretty rubbish too, most of them don’t even stay for the full game. I noticed the commentator said they watch a lot of premier league, I bet the all used to support Man Utd and now switched to City. They cant hack losing.

Yes, John is a great toon fan. Watched his interview after the game. A real gentleman always. Canada has a good team. Should not have lost. Again, the left footers taking a penalty. The debate goes on. I wonder if anyone knows any left footer penalty takers that are successful?

Will you stop bringing me in to your childish posts. You once went in to one of your tyrannical and deranged posts once because I mentioned you in a post one time. This unhealthy obsession you have with certain posters is not good for you. If you have such a problem with those you keep listing e mail Neil and tell him you want us all banned because, in your opinion we’re ruining the blog. As it happens, nobody on your list has been banned, the WaG’s however…….
