Newcastle fans have seen precious little from record-signing Alexander Isak since his arrival at the end of August. The striker has managed just 3 appearances due to a thigh injury picked up during international duty in September.
Isak started his Magpie career with a bang scoring on his debut in the narrow defeat to Liverpool. He added a second to his tally by converting a penalty in the draw against Bournemouth. As it stands, Alex has 2 goals in his 3 appearances.
The Swede is expected to be ready to go when the season resumes next month. Hopefully, he’ll be able to partake in at least one of December’s friendlies. His return could be timely depending on how far England advance in the World Cup.
The 23-year-old has recently spoken out on his move to Tyneside in an interview with Scandinavian Vogue that Sport Witness has published. Despite his injury frustration, Alex remains thrilled with his decision to join Newcastle United saying:
“It’s a dream come true as I always wanted to play in the Premier League.
“It’s fast and simple football, so it suits my game. Also, I really like the city because everyone who lives in Newcastle is a Newcastle fan, so you can really feel the passion. It’s a special feeling.
“I understand that with the amount of money invested in today’s industry there are a lot of expectations.
“I try to remember that the amount of the transfer had nothing to do with me, it was between the two clubs, so I try to keep focused on what is in my control, which is football and my game.”
Despite Newcastle’s high position in the league table, Eddie Howe has yet to field his strongest eleven. Both Isak and Allan Saint-Maximin were missing for much of the recent run up the table.
The goal for Howe and the lads is to somehow keep the momentum from before the break when the season resumes. Having Isak back and ready to go will make that target much easier to reach.

I don’t think the reports are referring to our Saudis, the one I read mentioned Saudi businesses, I may be wrong though if you have read differently

Cheers mate I thought so, we can breathe easy as it would cost £5billion to buy them and then god knows how much for the rebuild of squads for both teams and the infrastructure at manure which by all accounts is in major need of a revamp

Unfortunately for him it was when we had that regime endorsed downing of tools because we were safe. He came in just after Cabaye was sold and the whole team pretty much threw the towel in as safety was assured.

You’ll probably need a bucket for your pre-match gargle.
And make sure your John Bull suit’s nicely pressed before you salute the flag.
Oh, and try to remember we’re singing ‘King’ these days!
