Newcastle fans have seen precious little from record-signing Alexander Isak since his arrival at the end of August. The striker has managed just 3 appearances due to a thigh injury picked up during international duty in September.
Isak started his Magpie career with a bang scoring on his debut in the narrow defeat to Liverpool. He added a second to his tally by converting a penalty in the draw against Bournemouth. As it stands, Alex has 2 goals in his 3 appearances.
The Swede is expected to be ready to go when the season resumes next month. Hopefully, he’ll be able to partake in at least one of December’s friendlies. His return could be timely depending on how far England advance in the World Cup.
The 23-year-old has recently spoken out on his move to Tyneside in an interview with Scandinavian Vogue that Sport Witness has published. Despite his injury frustration, Alex remains thrilled with his decision to join Newcastle United saying:
“It’s a dream come true as I always wanted to play in the Premier League.
“It’s fast and simple football, so it suits my game. Also, I really like the city because everyone who lives in Newcastle is a Newcastle fan, so you can really feel the passion. It’s a special feeling.
“I understand that with the amount of money invested in today’s industry there are a lot of expectations.
“I try to remember that the amount of the transfer had nothing to do with me, it was between the two clubs, so I try to keep focused on what is in my control, which is football and my game.”
Despite Newcastle’s high position in the league table, Eddie Howe has yet to field his strongest eleven. Both Isak and Allan Saint-Maximin were missing for much of the recent run up the table.
The goal for Howe and the lads is to somehow keep the momentum from before the break when the season resumes. Having Isak back and ready to go will make that target much easier to reach.

Sorry, I didn’t make that very clear, I meant Eddie H wouldn’t have lasted long under Ashley, he would have become a victim of his success followed by deliberate sabotage.

I hit the wildcard because of that (false) info that you got unlimited transfers while MD 2 was still in play. You don’t and now I’ve got a really shite team for MD3 😀

Comment #137Lesh seen your post #49 earlier about me posting on here today and does that mean it’s not safe to travel via train (a) I have been on A/L today (b) I have 1x HSEQ Manager, 5x HSE Advisor’s working and ensuring work is carried out as it should with no unsafe conditions or unsafe acts.
FYI… The train network within the UK is one of the safest networks in the world because of all the safety mechanisms and safety measures in place and implemented
You should direct them type of posts towards Raj who is at work and is never off here and posts relentlessly. If I was his line manager I’d question his productivity as I’m guessing it’s SHOCKING (no pun intended)…Id also be asking if that TDS poster has finished his gardening leave yet as that bugger, if not playing golf, cycling or playing rounders is on here arguing like crazy. Also when wee AdamnEve posted on here it was mainly through the day, post after post all long winded, where did he get the time from? There are the posters you could Mosley be querying you nosey Parker, as to why they are posting through the day whilst apparently working. (If TDS is still on gardening leave, ask him how long is it now, does he ever intend on working or is he a sponger 😉
You ask some strange questions Lesh, you really are an irritant. You pick and choose who you call out. I’m a hard grafter you nosey trouble maker, so cast your line elsewhere weirdo. But please please start posting about football. As all you ever do is come on here and target good folk, people who you don’t know but seem to have them down as below you. It’s how it comes across. Simmer yourself down 😉 🙂
