Newcastle have drawn Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough for the Third Round of the FA Cup. The Owls are currently third in League One just 3 points behind Plymouth Argyle, who top the division.

The FA Cup third round will take place on the weekend after the trip to Arsenal on January 3rd. It will be the fifth match after the World Cup comes to an end.

Cambridge pulled off a shocker in this competition last year defeating Newcastle 1-0 in the third round. That match served as Kieran Trippier’s debut but was also an impetus to get some more winter deals completed.

Those troublesome days are in the rearview mirror as Eddie Howe sparked a revival in February leading Newcastle to safety. This season has been nothing short of sensational with the club sitting third in the Premier League.

Newcastle are also still alive in the Carabao Cup with Bournemouth coming to St. James’ Park on December 21st. That tie has added significance as it is the first to arrive after the World Cup break.

Raj – got an entry in London Marathon April. Teenage Cancer Trust raising cash for.
On Bruno think he’s not actually a natural athlete and quickly puts on a little bit of chub. Think its good if he’s on the pitch over in Qatar or may come back a bit undercooked for our push for 4th.
And the rumour is that Southgate is swapping out Bellingham for Henderson tonight. Bloke is clueless. Absolutely outcoached by the Yanks manager. Again froze with zero adaptability.
If he took over a team like Brighton today he would have them relegated in 18 months.
Utter bollocks he is.

So it looks like Arsenal away is on. But there’s a catch, the reason it’s on is because of the spare tickets due to rail strikes. So it would be a drive to Berkhampstead, bus to Watford, tube to London and then reverse. But of a mission 😕

Hate to mention it but I registered (under a different name) on the WC FF and hit the auto select. After a bit of poking around I abandoned it as a bad idea, unbelievably clunky and bewildering to use.
Just checked and I’m ahead of you in the blog league!
Decided to give it another go, made 3 transfers for match day 3 but still no idea what I’m doing!

Quite funny that on here last night there were some saying that Bruno was very poor and some saying that Bruno was very good. Can’t be both at the same time lads! Perhaps he just had an ok game? I still think he’s likely to start the last game as Casemiro will probably get rested and possibly Fred/Paqueta will be rotated too. Maybe a chance for Bruno to edge ahead of one of the latter two…

I have an update on what's happening with my treatment for prostate cancer.

Last week, my oncologist called me late in the day and said he thought it was best to terminate my treatment with radium 223 dichloride because it was having such a negative effect on my health - specifically my digestive system.

I had completed 3 of the planned 6 infusions.

They had looked at the bone scans and three CAT scans I had early last week, and they showed no signs of the cancer spread being slowed or stopped: in fact, it was continuing to spread and my PSA account continued to rise.

The only treatment left now is to go back and have another bout of chemotherapy with docetaxel being the medication used.

I understand this will be a 7-month job with 10 sessions 3 weeks apart - almost double my first chemo treatment in Apil 2017, when I has 6 treatmnts.

The problem I have is that I'm in a very poor physical state right now, due to my digestive system being basically torn apart by the radium 223.

The radium 223 has leaked into my digestive system and caused me to have severe diarrhea, nausea, and heartburn, and it was (is) very serious.

They said it was too dangerous to proceed with the radium 223 treatment, with little benefit being shown.

I am also suffering from severe exhaustion, basically, because I have zero testosterone, and all the treatments I've had for the cancer, have further lessened the energy available to me.

It reminds me of the saying that if cancer doesn’t kill you - the treatment will (laugh).

It will probably take up to 8 weeks to get back to a physical state where I can start chemotherapy, and that's where I am now, but the cancer continues to spread in the bones.

I've also been put in touch with the dietitian from UNC Healthcare, who will help me get back my health - she is very helpful.

So that's where it stands it's been quite a journey over 12 years and I think I've had almost every treatment available.

It has really taken a toll on my body and on my energy, but that's where it stands and obviously, I'll do the best I can in the upcoming months with chemo and hope I can get through it.

It is as it is - and another challenge in life.
