Report Claims Chelsea Will Beat Newcastle In Wonderkid Race

Over the weekend, it was reported that Newcastle have identified Vasco da Gama midfielder Andrey Santos as the top target for the winter window. The Northern Echo claimed the Magpies were set to make their move after months of links to the playmaker.

However, Sport Witness is citing a report from France’s Le10Sport that Santos is close to committing to Chelsea, who seem to have come out of the blue for the talented teen. Barcelona was Newcastle’s closest competitor according to recent reports.

The French outlet’s angle on their report is that Chelsea have edged not only Newcastle and Barcelona but also PSG for Santos. There is some discrepancy in the reporting as the price quoted is just €15m which is around half of his previously reported valuation.

If this report is accurate, with considerable emphasis on the ‘if’, Newcastle have other budding stars on the shortlist. There are continual reports that Velez Sarsfield playmaker Maximo Perrone is high on the wishlist.

The Argentine club’s sporting director is none other than former Magpie Christian Bassedas, who roamed the midfield at St. James’ Park in the early 2000s. Newcastle World recently reported that Bassedas was on Tyneside to tie up a deal for Perrone. Though the claim arose from a podcast in Argentina.

Whether it’s Santos, Perrone, or another young gem, Newcastle are determined to add youthful quality to the ranks in January. Garang Kuol’s move becomes official while links to right-backs Harrison Ashby and Cody Drameh refuse to dry up.

As posted at 12 today the team is.
    Prickford
    Walker
    Shaw
    Maguire
    Stones
    Henderson
    Slice
    Bellingham
    Foden
    Kane
    Rashford.

Too Cautious for me but Henderson should be good for an aggressive 60 minutes.

Hopefully we bring subs on to finish wm off rather than defend our box.

    Southgate is a tit like.

    Bus move.

Every fcuking day I come on this blog and see one person arguing with everyone’s post.

It’s tiresome. It’s never ending, why does one person think they are never wrong.

Why does one person think they are the most informed person on the planet.

Never shows humility, Mr What I say goes and everyone else is wrong.

I’m not going to name anyone, but for the love of the lord, can they start their own blog. http://www.ImNeverWrongYouAre.com

    TTT – absolutely pal.

Hope we run the legs off them, they have some old stages who are way off PL pace. Issue is we dont play at that pace. I have no idea why.

Eddie would deliver another gold star and shock the world how football can be played at international level. Which is actually below PL level. Bizarrely

I don`t expect this England v Wales game tonight to be a classic or easy on the eye, in fact it`s more likely to be an endurance test as most derby matches usually are. If England play anywhere near their potential they should win with ease tonight.

We’ll probably win but what a poor looking team.

Typical FA man/type I would like to smash him in the mug.

Exactly Magic mate, that is why I watched Senegal rather than Netherland as I see you did as the Netherlands game was a forgone conclusion.

As long as England play better than the blokes playing pool that you sent the link to earlier they should be fine. It was kinda tragic watching that. Made me feel like a superstar player watching them clowns.

In living rooms across the country/world there will be families and their children awaiting with hope for the start of the game and a victory.

There will be someone in a house/hovel in Limerick hoping for our demise.

    Come on England.
