I’ll stop at five and six.
No point in going to extremes.

Terrific value, potential is immense with right people around him, going to be a Super star.

Even Everton must think so as there’s a sell on clause in his contract.

When you consider players Ashworth has identified and brought to Brighton, the increase in their value had been astronomical. So if he feels Gordon is worth £45m odd, then it’s really difficult to disagree with to be honest.

With a track record as good as Ashworths, combined with the signings we’ve made since new ownership, I trust their valuation of players 100%.

Anthony Gordon has now passed his Newcastle medical
The 21-year-old is now set to be announced as Newcastle United’s second highest transfer of all time — arriving from Everton in a £40m+£5m deal.

    @Transfers
BREAKING Newcastle are pushing to sign 26 year old James Maddison this month. Leicester don’t want to sell but are aware Newcastle have the funds. This deal will be one to watch before the deadline. NUFC will come back in summer if they can’t complete this window #maddison

If they delay his announcement it might ve because they’re not signing anyone else and they will anounce Gordon when the window is closing.

They always seem to do this, just so they habe somone to announce on the final day.

If we see him announced tonight or tomorrow then it might mean there’s more on the way.

Not interested in the lads toffee goals. Moving on.
If we can buy a player of Maddison’s quality for the 10 slot we can go toe to toe with anybody. Max Lobby and Willock would be quality back up.
I think it’s too late to buy Maddison because it screws Leicester to buy a replacement. A possibility is Max to Inter to part fund Madders. But that has to be happening now. You cannot start that process on Monday. Who would Leicester buy and they will not want to sell best player in relegation scrap without a replacement.
A full back can wait til summet

    Unbelievable Jeff!!

    Stated on Soccer Saturday,

“when Newcastle claimed that semi final 2nd leg tickets were sold out, there was still 35,000 in the queue”.

    Jeez! 😀

That’s why extending the ground to 62k is not the right option.
These guys have bottomless pockets and we should build a 75/80k stadium 20 mins walk on the Moor. It will piss off Jesmond folk but it’s called progress. Stadium is a better view than open countryside

    Bob
    Maybe.
I was full on Maddrrs last year but his injuries do worry me.
But they do need to sell him as he had I thin 18 months contract left and is 27? He is getting a bit oldish for big money.
Gordon will learn a load here. Farrago engine and great presser and fast and good driibbler. His finishing and final ball need work but he would cost 100 million if he was the complete package. That package might take another 2 years

Magic I’ve no idea why you can call this a “magnificent” window ,if we only but one player who may not be a definite starter.

Is he overpriced?yes, a little overpriced in my opinion, maybe 5mill. Same with Isak. Marginal. A few journalists thought same.he only had 3 goals last season. That said, he’s a class player. And a brilliant passer.

Gordon will be an incredible signing.

He has all the attributes to be a huge success in the way we are set up to play.

Most importantly Howe will make him into a superstar.

The 45M will look like peanuts in a season.

The town moor option has been looked at in the past.

Many pubs and clubs in the city rely on the match day income to survive.

The arena site already has planning approval for housing.

I was reading about the delayed development of Strawberry place. Apparently the developers went bust and now the council are wanting the development kick started. Could be an opportunity for the club there.
