Howe Makes Three Changes In Our Predicted Team For Wolves

Eddie Howe will be forced into at least one change for Sunday’s clash against Wolves at St. James’ Park with the integral Joelinton facing a two-match ban. There could be other changes on the horizon after Howe made three in last weekend’s defeat at Manchester City.

Fabian Schar is back in contention after being sidelined through the concussion protocol. He faces a fight to return with captain Jamaal Lascelles’s solid showing against the defending champions.

I suspect Schar will keep his place though would not be completely surprised to see Jamaal take the armband tomorrow. However, I do see one other potential change at the back with Matt Targett making his return for Dan Burn at left-back.

All that being said, this is the team I suspect Howe will name. It has three changes from the Citizens with Schar returning, Joe Willock in for Joelinton, and Targett getting a chance on the left.

During his press conference on Friday, Howe stated Alexander Isak was not ready for a full 90 minutes. While that doesn’t rule out a start, he may continue as an impact sub until he is fully fit.

That may also be the role for Allan Saint-Maximin despite impressing in a run of starts. Anthony Gordon made his full debut last weekend and now he may get his first start in front of the home faithful.

There are plenty of options with only Emil Krafth and Harrison Ashby out injured that we know of. Howe can chop and change to try and get the performance needed to spur the Magpies back to victory.

How many times do you have to be asked how you can determine a person’s gender with any certainty, by a forename? You can’t

I’ve never met a boy named Sue

    Or come to that

    A girl named John

Reading through, we’ve seen some sickening posts left by a few who would claim to be balanced and reasonable human beings.

To those great thinkers, who among others include Toon Fans Bad, Tuff, Fenham, Ledge, Coming Home and one or two others along with the odd hanger who seem to be desperate for props, Farage, Tommy Robinson, Patel, Braverman, Rees Mogg and others would be proud of you.

    Trialist update:
    Reggae boy
    blues bound

The Phoenix All Stars football club in Jamaica went public on Saturday with the news that their teenage striker Dujuan “Whisper” Richards had put pen to paper on a pre-contract agreement with Chelsea.

The 17 year-old prospect spent two weeks on trial with Newcastle last month, but has opted to join the Stamford Bridge club on a professional deal that commences when he turns 18 this November.

Kingston-born Richards has earned a first senior call-up to the Jamaican national team for a pair of kickabouts against Trinidad & Tobago later this month.

Maybe they offered him a longer term deal or that their loanees have a better record of making it. I haven’t been a fan of Shola at all since his post playing days but I haven’t really criticised his role of late as Ashworth and Co have had ample opportunity to replace him but haven’t, so he must be doing something right. I’ve seen a lot criticism going his way over Kuol’s move but I’m not sure how that’s his fault that Kuol isn’t getting game time. The loan looked perfect, off to a club with a few Aussie’s there, a league at a decent level but not too decent where he couldn’t be expected to break in, maybe he misjudged how good the lad was, maybe he’s good enough but just struggling away from home. I think get him to Bristol next year where EA flourished and see what happens there.

I can only imagine Richards decision was based on one or all of the following reasons:
    Training facilities
    Quality of the Academy squad
    Loan development
    London lifestyle

Chelsea are further ahead on the first three.
I don’t know what he looked like on trial but rather than being a shining light here, he may feel the challenge of mixing with a more technically advanced squad would improve his development. Plus, a loan to Hearts is hardly inspiring.

Not sure how accurate this is but Scotland isn’t even in the top 100 leagues round the world, both league one and Bundesliga 3 ranked higher.

Young kid from jamaica…london or newcastle…established CL team v a club on the rise…shed loads of money v a wheelbarrow of money…world class amenities v a field in benton with a renovated shed…

We’re not quite there yet with our “Come to newcastle” presentation…but in three years time chelsea wont stand a chance!

Sending Kuol off to the wilds of Scotland was ridiculous. He should have been nurtured at the club for a year. He’d played less than 20 senior games in Australia

Anyone else nervous about today…will we rinse and repeat like we have since beating Leicester or give Wolves the royal humping we’re due to give somone once we click again.

They will play 5 4 1 and look to get us on the break so can we do summat different to break them down???

I really dont know who or what will turn up today and my unbeaten match day breakfast run came to an end in London 2 weeks ago?

Some inspired play would be much appreciated win lose or draw…we need to get into the habit of playing better and with more positivity and get the ball across earlier

    IMO

To be fair its bloody annoying to lose another talent like Richards. He trialled with us, so i would have thought we were in pole position. Bloody Chelsea, bloody London. Lets face it, we keep getting mugged by them or City.

Will take a few more years but the bright lights of london will always be there, c’est la vie.

I was certainly surprised and annoyed to read it though 🙁 . Rotonda will be peeved this morning too, as we lost two south american talents too.

Quiet surprised by the venomous conversation on Steve Wraith about the link between NUFC Supporters Trust and True Faith. I get that there is a lot of history and that the official group have been ineffectual. But I am not sure why Darren Curry is trying to generate a support behind an issue that just needs dialogue and clarity from the club. However, if the allegation that the Trust had a major hand in the allocation of cup final tickets is correct, then I hope there is an open review on the situation. Otherwise the rumblings will just continue to remain unresolved.

I hope we win today, not just because I like to see us win but because I fear the fall out on the blog, the place becomes unbearable after a loss or draw. If we don’t win today, in what is probably our most winnable fixture left, bar Soton, then the season really could go out on a damp squib. A good thumping 3-0 and any type of win at Forest would be a massive and much needed boost of confidence going in to the international break.

NADJ when at first didn’t get a cup ticket, I sent three emails to NUST I’m a life time member also contributed when they were going to try and buy shares in the club.
After the third attempt email, they responded with an email saying the person I’d emailed was no longer with NUST
I just gave up, but that’s my finish with them.
