Eddie Howe will be forced into at least one change for Sunday’s clash against Wolves at St. James’ Park with the integral Joelinton facing a two-match ban. There could be other changes on the horizon after Howe made three in last weekend’s defeat at Manchester City.
Fabian Schar is back in contention after being sidelined through the concussion protocol. He faces a fight to return with captain Jamaal Lascelles’s solid showing against the defending champions.
I suspect Schar will keep his place though would not be completely surprised to see Jamaal take the armband tomorrow. However, I do see one other potential change at the back with Matt Targett making his return for Dan Burn at left-back.
All that being said, this is the team I suspect Howe will name. It has three changes from the Citizens with Schar returning, Joe Willock in for Joelinton, and Targett getting a chance on the left.
During his press conference on Friday, Howe stated Alexander Isak was not ready for a full 90 minutes. While that doesn’t rule out a start, he may continue as an impact sub until he is fully fit.
That may also be the role for Allan Saint-Maximin despite impressing in a run of starts. Anthony Gordon made his full debut last weekend and now he may get his first start in front of the home faithful.
There are plenty of options with only Emil Krafth and Harrison Ashby out injured that we know of. Howe can chop and change to try and get the performance needed to spur the Magpies back to victory.

Comment #137I reckon the language used by the little Austrian’s wingmen in 30’s Germany was way beyond what’s being spouted by UKGov. Pure hyperbole, exaggeration. and embellishment. It’s what Lineker does.
This is Lineker’s way 😆

Comment #139I am going to repeat what I said last week when Arsenal struggled against Bournemouth.
Isn’t it interesting that Liverpool have not been able to break Bournemouth down and score the goals needed to win the game.
It was like the begginings of whispers of a coup against Eddie Howe when he got a draw against Bournemouth. It was simply unacceptable as far as some people were concerned.
Look at the firepower Liverpool have! Why were they not table to beat Bournemouth?
Questions need to be asked about Klopp. Is Klopp a good manager? Why doesn’t he have a plan B?

Comment #151I’ve never been one to think he had to drop Wilson over the last few weeks but I really do think he genuinely has to drop him now. Isak looks like he’s fit, playing well and for this reason I dont think he will start Gordon. I think Maxi and Isak might get something going together if they actually get proper minutes together.
Not sure Targett is ready to displace Burn but I wouldn’t rule it out either.
I see Burn for Targett, Maxi for Gordon and Isak for Wilson. Then as you were for the rest. But I could be way off the mark come tomorrow, who knows!

Lineker out! The big earred knob head
What winds me up is that these opinionated pricks will never be effected by the hundreds of thousands immigrants coming into our country every year while they sit in their nice big plush mansions. The chances are in the bubble that they live they’ll never come across one.
They haven’t a clue of the damage it is doing as they are protected in their nice little bubble.
I’ve always been one to stand out to help others but my stance is when do we start helping the hundreds of thousands of people across our own country…?
When do we start making sure that every child is fed properly…?
The mind blowing number of veterans on the streets who have sacrificed so much for this country are still being ignored…!
When do we stop and start helping our own…?
I understand why we do it but surely there has to be a time when we say enough is enough and rebuild this once great country to how it was. We are headed one way and it’s inevitable as nothing will change

Klopp has done an interview saying he cannot compete with the spending power at Bournemouth I cannot see Liverpool spending 70 plus million a season.

Comment #155Clint as would I, I wouldn’t leave them in the country im fleeing though not a chance.
I have no issues with families seeking asylum not at all.
But I do have issues with bus loads of men aged between 18/40 who come to our countries, who refuse to work, refuses to obey our laws refuse to respect our culture and our people.
Who think that our women are shit on there shoes because that’s the case in there countries.
