Isak, Murphy, And Saint-Maximin Start Against Wolves

This is the team Eddie Howe has named for this afternoon’s match against Wolves. It has five changes from last weekend’s defeat at Manchester City with an altered front three.

Howe has made some drastic changes with Alexander Isak in for Wilson and Saint-Maximin returning to the starting eleven. The Frenchman is in for Anthony Gordon who unfortunately isn’t in the squad.

It appears Howe’s praise of Jacob Murphy wasn’t lip service as he comes in for Miguel Almiron on the right. It’s Murphy’s first league start since the win at Southampton in early April.

Here is who Julen Lopetegui has selected for Wolves.

Newcastle have a chance to climb to 5th in the table while adding to the cushion to Fulham and Brighton in the battle for a top-six finish. Howe has made the changes at the top of the pitch to hopefully spark the attack back to life.

Howay The Lads!

Pleased to see EH change things up, hopefully it clicks today and Isak and other players can make a positive impact on the pitch today.

Won’t be easy today, but a wolves no show would be handy and a goal or two for Isak and a win for nufc would be super.

Afternoon all, happy match day. So much that I’d love to comment on but it can wait. Eddie has made wholesale changes to the attack, I don’t think Wolves would have expected that. I think Willock in left midfield was expected but a shame about Gordon. We can do this! HWTL?

Howay the Lads. Let’s get the 3 points and push on. Manure could not beat the saints at home and they’ve lost their MF general for 3 games 🙂

Plus to have Wilson and Miggy coming on from the bench will be handy if needed vs a tiring defence with 20/30 mins to go.

Ashworth agreed to join the club in Feb 2022, and has been in situ since May 2022. You claimed that Kuol, who signed in September 2022 was “pre Ashworth” when this was so obviously not the case, so what are you on about man?
