Here is the team Eddie Howe has named for tonight’s match at Nottingham Forest. It has no changes from the 2-1 win over Wolves last weekend with news emerging today that Miguel Almiron has suffered an injury that keeps him out of today’s clash.

The strength of the bench has been impacted by Miggy’s absence. Callum Wilson has made the trip despite missing some training this week. Elliot Anderson’s versatility could come into play in the second half.

Here is the team that Steve Cooper has named for Forest with Jonjo Shelvey starting against his former teammates. Former Magpie Jack Colback is available from the bench.

Howe has named the same team that took down Wolves last weekend. Though he’ll have to navigate this one without his match-winner Miguel Almiron. Hopefully, the lads can pick up another three points ahead of the international break.

With Karius not on the bench again, I’m virtually convinced that he won’t be with us next season. I think he’s got his sights on Italy so isn’t committed to us. I reckon if he wanted to stay and Howe wanted to keep him, then he’d have signed a longer term contract in January.
Wonder if Dubs stays as 2nd choice next season, Darlow is happy being 2nd choice or they’ll have to sign another keeper. I actually think the likely option is to sell them both and sign a new keeper.

Yeah TDS – GK is an interesting one. I always thought Karius was a short term measure.
Has Dubs learned his lesson or does he still want out?
Darlow may stay but not with Pope and Dubs in front of him.
Hard to call what will happen other than Pope will still be number one.
Gillespie out of contract too but would likey be happy to exent despite being at best 3rd choice.
You could be right though, all could go and then we find a second keeper and also promote/sign a youngster.

We have nothing to come off the bench to change the game … just shows that people ranking about selling ASM , Wilson etc need to realise that we need those players for the bench

We can win this but I can’t help but feel wrre underrating Forest at home, the best of teams have lost and drawn there, no loss since Sep.
This is a HUGE one, if the form is to pick up we have to win. We can win but I’ve a feeling it will be another draw.

Hopefully Forest come out and play.
I’d be more worried if they sat deep and used Shelvey to turn the game on its head — which he is more than capable of.

Mag52 of course our squad needs more depth and injuries/suspensions always highlight that. Having Gordon, Miggy and Big Joe all out is far from ideal but at least we can still field a good starting 11.

I have an update on what's happening with my treatment for prostate cancer.

Last week, my oncologist called me late in the day and said he thought it was best to terminate my treatment with radium 223 dichloride because it was having such a negative effect on my health - specifically my digestive system.

I had completed 3 of the planned 6 infusions.

They had looked at the bone scans and three CAT scans I had early last week, and they showed no signs of the cancer spread being slowed or stopped: in fact, it was continuing to spread and my PSA account continued to rise.

The only treatment left now is to go back and have another bout of chemotherapy with docetaxel being the medication used.

I understand this will be a 7-month job with 10 sessions 3 weeks apart - almost double my first chemo treatment in Apil 2017, when I has 6 treatmnts.

The problem I have is that I'm in a very poor physical state right now, due to my digestive system being basically torn apart by the radium 223.

The radium 223 has leaked into my digestive system and caused me to have severe diarrhea, nausea, and heartburn, and it was (is) very serious.

They said it was too dangerous to proceed with the radium 223 treatment, with little benefit being shown.

I am also suffering from severe exhaustion, basically, because I have zero testosterone, and all the treatments I've had for the cancer, have further lessened the energy available to me.

It reminds me of the saying that if cancer doesn’t kill you - the treatment will (laugh).

It will probably take up to 8 weeks to get back to a physical state where I can start chemotherapy, and that's where I am now, but the cancer continues to spread in the bones.

I've also been put in touch with the dietitian from UNC Healthcare, who will help me get back my health - she is very helpful.

So that's where it stands it's been quite a journey over 12 years and I think I've had almost every treatment available.

It has really taken a toll on my body and on my energy, but that's where it stands and obviously, I'll do the best I can in the upcoming months with chemo and hope I can get through it.

It is as it is - and another challenge in life.
