Newcastle Tracking Exciting Young English Talent Playing In Italy

Newcastle are one of a number of Premier League clubs monitoring former-Chelsea product Samuel Iling-Junior. The 19-year-old moved to Juventus 2 1/2 years ago for a modest fee. He is currently an England U20 international.

90min is claiming that the Toon are weighing up a summer move for the attacker. Former club Chelsea as well as Manchester City are also credited with an interest. Iling-Junior recently signed an extension with Juve though only to 2025.

The winger has made 11 appearances with 2 assists for Juventus this term under Max Allegri. He has previously starred with Juventus Next Gen, which plays in Serie C. He scored 14 goals with 15 assists in 58 appearances for the reserve side.

This is an exciting link as the player has not looked out of place in Serie A this term. He has also appeared in all youth levels for England up to the U20s, with whom he scored a brace last night against Germany.

In other news, Garang Kuol got off the mark for Australia earlier today. The 18-year-old scored The Aussies’ third goal in a 3-1 win over Ecuador. He had come on in the 78th minute for his 4th cap.

Here is Kuol’s first international goal for Australia.

Dazzler – Phillips is a different player to Longstaff and Willock though. I think Southgate wanted to play 2 specialist defensive midfielders to compensate for the fact that our defence is relatively poor.

I’d have more faith in Phillips helping to cover the England defence than Longstaff or Willock for example.

It’s also not as if Phillips is in poor form, he’s had injuries and just hasn’t played very often. I thought he had a good game against Italy too.

If you’re relying on people with similar traits to you to like you, it’s no wonder you’re a member of a very exclusive club!

    Thank gawd.

Sorry for the late reply Raj, been travelling.
You got me completely wrong on that front my friend. Did I want England to those or draw? NEVER.
Do I hate Southgate? Don’t even dislike the bloke.
Did I think the second half display was below par, compared to first, most definitely. Do I think the manager was somewhat responsible for that, oh fkn YES.

We have the best set of attacking players in world football at the moment but they are continually being let down by overly defensive management..

Catching up from the other day…..

I’ve noticed that Fenners has followed Mund’s lead
And keeps calling out Lesh for what he’s perceived
To be the harassment of a lady we know here as Jane
An assumption based solely on a blog username

That may be quite a foolhardy thing to do
Does he think Betty Swallocks is a lady too?
Or the Geordie Mongrel and Sir Pugalot
Like to feast on bowls of Winalot

Or that the Prince’s Mate is well connected
    Or Hibbit’s miraculously resurrected
Or AP was once a real Jedi
Or Regan a flying squad DI

Or that Dr Gloom has a PhD
Which seems a little unlikely to me
Although I do believe for an absolute FACT
Magicmac is a Magic Mike tribute act

And, if I’m being absolutely frank
I don’t even hail from Bensham Bank
You see usernames just don’t mean a thing
And the ‘Bard of West Allotment’ didn’t have the same ring

I would take these moniker’s with a pinch of salt
Fenners should know, he’s had many an alt
I just hope we never have to use photo ID
I’ve already seen things that I’ll never unsee

    😮
    😀

I see on previous that Dr Ed says Kuol’s not getting much game time @ Aberdeen!!

    Of course he’s 100% correct.

    Maybe it’s because he’s @ Hearts. 😉 🙂

Southgates success is due to good fortune and having very good forwards. He lacks the skill to win the big game. Too many tactical errors. His best shot has past him when he made critical tactical errors in his selection of penalty takers at the Euros.
We need a better tactician to take us forward. A good Italian team would have tore us apart. For crying out loud, he still picks Maguire.

    Novo,
To answer your question, no, I wouldn’t want GS anywhere near our club but I’d want Gerrard, Lampard, Allardyce, Hodgson or Mclaren even less. Unless you want to go down the route of a foreign manager, which I don’t, then there isn’t anyone else better for the job unless you got Potter or Howe involved.

    clinath@ed,
Firstly apologies for saying you’d rather we drew or lost as that was not my assumption to make. However, my point stands, it seems like win, lose or draw that people are lining up to have a go at him, I do feel that it would suit some people’s narratives a whole lot better had we lost.

TDS; It has never dawned on me why Championship Manager players aren’t professional football managers.
What an absolutely ridiculous statement to make. Are youì trying to say that only professional managers can comment on the structure of a squad?
Do you really think most football fans don’t understand the complexities of building a football team?
I could never understand why all teams have goalkeepers and defenders. Why don’t all sides just have 11 strikers? Crazy.
Let’s us all bow to the superior knowledge of TDS for sharing that insight.
