Howe Fields His Strongest Team In Our Predicted Lineup For The Vital Brighton Test

We expect Howe to field his strongest team for the game tonight at home to Brighton

But with Sean Longstaff and Jacob Murphy still not available, we expect Howe to field the team that started at Leeds last weekend in the 2-2 draw.

The only change could be if Howe decides to give Dan Burn a rest at left-back and brings in the capable Matt Targett for a rare start.

This is a game we must win tonight, but just over 60% of voters think we can get the job done tonight.

If Coventry get promoted, I imagine Wilson will want to transfer there.

Does #nufc official always suggest one player will not be starting the next match?
Last time out it was Wilson but I think the Tweet has been deleted, now it is I-S-A-K

I’m not in favour of the Isak left Wilson up top set up as I feel our game lacks the intensity we get when Isak is leading the high press through the middle. Although they’ve had two games to bed into this so maybe it’ll be more effective now if Eddie decides to stick with it. Was certainly lacking vs Arsenal and Leeds.

I think nobody is in favour of the Isak/Wilson line up because we haven’t won twice.

IMO the Wilson / Isak line up needs to be implemented in a 442 with proper wingers / midfielders on the flanks. But that would involve a change in style of play and it is not the right time to be making radical changes. Starting with only one and bringing the on has its benefits.

Injury probs for Brighton – NUFC.com reckons they have 8 matchday squad regulars out now for one reason or another.
Howay the lads – finishing line in sight. One big push in the next week and a bit!

Our of the 4 in the playoffs I would have preferred the smoggies to go up. Never mind.
I don’t think either of the sides left are much cop.

In my opinion we should stick to the formation that have brought us to top 4 so far, instead of suddenly changing it for the last 3 games because people want to see Isak and Wilson in a 4-4-2.

I would also prefer to see murhpy return instead of miggy.

In any case, this is going to be a very nervy game that will show what the players are made of. The last few games have looked like we have lost our cool, especially from the players we need to carry us through like Trippier and Bruno. If Brighton score first, it could be a real problem.

That’s why we need to revert to Isak up top, Callum on the bench in my opinion. It provides the right balance and makes us more solid..
I know it’s not the popular opinion, but not too gung ho from the off is the way I think. It’ll come!
Why do what Brighton want us to do?

Don’t think we’ll be implementing 4-4-2 or any other lineup we have rarely played this season, EH has already said that he intends to keep the message simple for the last three games so players don’t have to think of something new in the last three games , especially on these last high-pressure games

I agree with that… Wilson works better from the bench anyway. I would also prefer Joelinton on the left wing, since we seem very aggressive on both wings when he has played there, but with Longstaff injured, we might have a problem fielding 3 midfielders.

Aye, he said in his presser there’d be no radical changes, it’s natural reaction for fans to want something different after two negative results but we are where we are because he’s stuck to his philosophy and what we do best.

we’ve come along way these last few months under EH,and what ever the lineup he puts out tonight it’ll be for a reason, a reasons that only he and his coach’s are aware of, he deserves our trust and backing in these last 3 games,
now’s not the time to lose faith in him and his choices,

It’s tricky isn’t it, Brighton want us to press their center backs and press high up the field so they can play through us or over us. So part of me thinks we shouldn’t play into their hands, let them push up the pitch and then catch them out on a break; like Everton did really well.

But pressing and intensity is our play style so I’m not sure we’ll deviate from that. Brighton definitely take risks at the back, so if our press is perfect and we shut off all passes and work hard, we could force them into mistakes.

It’s a difficult one to know which to go for. I think being at home though, we’re more likely to play our own game that we’ve done all season.

Awful is slightly harsh haha he’s not been the best but that’s because he’s set himself a high standard. He’s been ok, nowhere near his best though.

Think it’s that ankle problem, unfortunately we may not get his best performances between now and the end of the season. He needs to get that ankle sorted and he’ll be back to his best pre-season I think.

I wonder if we can use Isak and Wilson but slightly change setup. Joelinton on left and Isak as a 10 or just behind Wilson with Bruno and Willock making up the rest of midfield
