Howe Fields His Strongest Team In Our Predicted Lineup For The Vital Brighton Test

We expect Howe to field his strongest team for the game tonight at home to Brighton

But with Sean Longstaff and Jacob Murphy still not available, we expect Howe to field the team that started at Leeds last weekend in the 2-2 draw.

The only change could be if Howe decides to give Dan Burn a rest at left-back and brings in the capable Matt Targett for a rare start.

This is a game we must win tonight, but just over 60% of voters think we can get the job done tonight.

Good call Ed and Neil. Don’t mind the unchanged at this point as long as we put one or two in the net fairly early on. I think after 3 games more of the kinks will be worked out in Longy’s absence and it will be the best showing yet with this lineup.

    Exactly JohnJ,

Personally I prefer scrambled eggs with a little cheese mixed in. But Fenhams brekkie sounds like one breakfast dish and two lunchtime snacks all at once. Crab and Tuna are never going to work together on one plate and poached eggs won’t work with either of them.

Easy, I’m no mackem xD Long time Toon fan from Poland, regular reader, but sun-eclipse poster. Actually the last time I was so excited as to post myself was way back in Pardew days ? That’s not to say I’m only watching when times are bright, I didn’t miss a (broadcasted) game last time in Championship, although I admit to skipping some Bruce-era games as my pain tolerance threshold is not that high 😀

    On Isak out wide…

After his worldy run down the line he has had players crowding around him against Arsenal and Leeds whenever he gets the ball. Isak is capable of taking them on but a repeat of his worldy run is unlikely.

That’s why I ‘d like to see a tactic where he sucks the oppo in and then plays a ball into the space behind or quick one twos to break away.

This will be a game where tactics will defo have a big impact plus, if we go a goal down early, I can see the crowd getting very edgy and that could transfer through to the players.

Brighton have been built up to be the second City by some but as others have pointed out they have lost 10 games including a recent 5-1 home hammering by Everton.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we win 3-0.

    HWTL.
