In-Form Callum Wilson Looks Back On Vital Brighton Win And Upcoming Leicester City Test

Callum Wilson has been in magnificent since early April, scoring 11 goals and in 29 PL appearances this season, he has taken his goal tally up to 18 with 5 assists.

Callum had a difficult time after the World Cup but has come roaring back to form at the right time.

And with his contract running out next June, we would expect the 31 year-old will get a contract extension for at least a couple of years this summer.

It was a great 4-1 win over Brighton last Thursday night, and it was good to see the Seasiders beat the Saints, and they will be in European competition for the first time ever next season.

The Brighton fans deserve that.

Going into the important game against Lecsisyer tomorrow night we need only a draw to guarantee Champions League football.

And while this may look like an almost certain win, nothing is ever easy in the Premier League, and we expect Eddie Howe to demand two good performances and two win in our last two games.

In our final game a week today we are at Chelsea and could win that game too.

Here is the current PL table after today’s games.

    Cleverly,
On the Szoboszlai question I don’t know but as Fenham suggested the only real connection to us with Paqueta was Bruno.

On other topics I had a few Lays in Germany when I was younger….

As for crisps Lays are indeed the Walkers brand. Owned by Pepsi.

Overall they get a 4/10 from me.

    😉

The more I see of Szoboszlai the more I like him. Has a lovely cross in him and definitely knows where the goal is.

TTT, I agree Lays can be iffy, both sorts.

Give the barbecue Bugles a try. Both flavours work well to accompany a decent Ham and Pease pudding sarnie. 🙂

Although I do give credit to Lays for the sheer variety of options. Look at the flavours in different countries.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lay%27s

    As a random example:
In Russia they have a “Red Caviar” flavour.

Does it beat Tudor crisps though? Hedgehog flavour.

The history and current owners of crisp matters should be more widely known.it is important.

Anyway I said I would not get involved in the crisp debate but I just could not help it. I shall stop now. GN all.

Clint, you could well be correct and I suspect we are both pretty close. But asking a Hugarian mate does not really prove anything does it?

Ask people from different counties in England alone to pronounce anything.

Sparky will be disappearing just after the Leicester game…but fearnot…you’ll all have the pleasure of Lord Scattercash’s wisdom and inside info on the transfer front.
A kitty the size of a fully grown lion and players banging on our door instead us hopefully banging on theirs.

Different gravy this summer…a whole new world.

Can’t say how pleased that Dr Ed & family are keeping things ticking over.

Great news that will sit in very well with a win for Toon tomorrow evening to confirm our place in the major European football contest.

Thanks Dr Ed, Neil and family.

Why did 6 month ago I agree to schedule my dentist appointment for the middle of the second half???? What could I have been thinking. 🙂
Might be hard for her to clean my teeth if I’m trying to shout all the time. I tried to get it changed but nothing open so I guess the office gets to listen to football tomorrow. 🙂

Szoboszlai literally seems like the perfect example of a player we’d go for. He’s extremely skillful and even more so he has technically beautiful skills, he’s very tall and strong and reasonably fast for a midfielder.

I’d be very excited if we got him. But honestly I give up guessing it’s going to be this or that player. One thing I’d bet on is we will spend plenty this window, it will be the biggest spend thus far I’m certain of it.

On the crisp debate Tudor great but then chipmunk oxo crisps arrived which were unbelievable, made in Skelmersdale they were my all time favourite crisps..Look up their history it’s worth a read..
Now I love black pepper crisps..

Enjoy the game tonight all those who have a ticket as I think the other Ed will have the team put on a show for everyone in the Cathedral on the hill..Enjoy.

Greetings from a very buoyant Tyneside. How are things on the Emerald Isle?
What a beautiful day. The sun shines on the righteous.
(the sun is shining of just about everyone in England today, but you get my point) 🙂
It’s a good day to put the finishing touches on a great day in the history of Newcastle United.

Howay the lads – to Europe!!
