In-Form Callum Wilson Looks Back On Vital Brighton Win And Upcoming Leicester City Test

Callum Wilson has been in magnificent since early April, scoring 11 goals and in 29 PL appearances this season, he has taken his goal tally up to 18 with 5 assists.

Callum had a difficult time after the World Cup but has come roaring back to form at the right time.

And with his contract running out next June, we would expect the 31 year-old will get a contract extension for at least a couple of years this summer.

It was a great 4-1 win over Brighton last Thursday night, and it was good to see the Seasiders beat the Saints, and they will be in European competition for the first time ever next season.

The Brighton fans deserve that.

Going into the important game against Lecsisyer tomorrow night we need only a draw to guarantee Champions League football.

And while this may look like an almost certain win, nothing is ever easy in the Premier League, and we expect Eddie Howe to demand two good performances and two win in our last two games.

In our final game a week today we are at Chelsea and could win that game too.

Here is the current PL table after today’s games.

Ah ok Raj, I never saw anything about the NW one, both good regions to have someone dedicated in place for- big catchment areas with lots of young talent.

May 4/5th 2024 would look to be favourite for blog meet up next season, depending on a match actually taking place then. As it is followed by the May bank holiday Monday.

I wonder which Callum Wilson would prefer, to score a hattrick for Coventry in the Premier League or appear in the Champions League?

If anyone we look to buy for next season, can help us turn this seasons12 draws into wins next season, then we’ll win the league next year… and for those who dont believe,” thats stupid and impossible” … just look at what we’ve achieved so far this year. Top 6 is the target we all agreed lol.

I think the following list of players are a bit Spursey:
    Maddison
    Lindgard
    Alexander-Arnold
    Phillips
    Sterling

Thanks, Raj. I’m not really an emoji user. Tried one earlier when I mentioned ruining the blog today with my pals ilovetoon and IrishRob…..and it showed up as a “?”, which made me a bit gunshy.

NADJ, imagine if Spurs lost Kane and Son and their entire squad consisted of Spursy players.

    😀

I’d take Kane all day long if it doesn’t break the wage structure!

It will be good to finish the season with a bang and for once not have to feel any negativity towards a predicted result. Because it won’t matter!

“One of my best matches @SJP was the last home game of the season, the 93 promotion season back into the top flight. 7-1 we won that day against a hapless Leicester, there’s smacks of this game and this evenings, this was 30 years ago, doesn’t time fly man (it wouldn’t surprise me to get a similar result tonight, but I’ll still be happy with a 2-0):”

I remember that day well – I wasn’t at the game but beforehand I saw 6 Magpies that day and we won by six goals!!! Six for Gold

    One for sorrow,
    Two for Joy

    Three for a Girl,
    Four for a Boy

    Five for Silver,
    Six for Gold

Seven for a secret never to be told,
    Eight for a wish

    Nine for a kiss,
Ten for bird you must not miss.

I saw six Magpies flying in the sky,
Oh it’s gold oh my oh my!

Rather than flattering to deceive, without Kane & Sons goals they will be faltering to dispair.

Less than two hours to go and I’m wishing my life away, like an impatient kid. Ah well, just 35 minutes to team announcements.

If Kane leaves Spurs I can only see him going abroad. The fans would never forgive him if he signed with another PL club. Maybe he’ll run his contract down and see what happens. He’s a one club man, leaving now would be a wrench.

deJong, agreed. Two straight seasons where can go into the summer feeling great. Last season, we slapped around Arsenal. And this season, we hopefully confirm our CL spot with the next 3.5 hours.

Would rather have Son than Kane tbh and I think Isak will be every bit as good as Kane next season

A young up and coming striker plucked from nowhere will do for cover

And the szoboblai kid looks the part

    CH,
I still really hope the young striker is Vitor Roque and NUFC are interested in him. He won’t be cheap but that kid could seriously be the next R9. Worth a gamble in my book.

Doesn’t seem to be enjoying life in La Liga at present!

He’ll be looking for an out no doubt. PSG probably get him.

How good has Anderson looked coming off the bench recently!

It’s still very early to say — but Anderson looks the most exciting prospect the club has produced in a good few decades or more.

Hopefully he’ll get more minutes tonight. He’s looks blistering recently.

    Uncertain,

Vinicius Jr would be a great signing but he is also somewhat unrealistic at this stage. He may want out of Spain now but he he signed a long contract recently.

Great line-up, delighted Longstaff can start in the game we secure Champions League, as he’s played a vital role in that! Happy to see Murphy back too, no doubt will come in at some point.

Strong lineup, let’s get the job done in party style!
