Behind The Scenes Match-Cam Video For Newcastle’s 0-0 Draw With Leicester And Qualification For Champions League

Here is the Match-Cam video from last night’s 0-0 home draw with Leicester City, with the point qualifying Newcastle for the Champions League next season, for the first time since the 2003-2004 season under the incomparable Sir Bobby Robson.

In the Match-Cam we see the players arriving, warming up, then different video footage of the game from ground level, and these videos seem to be really popular.

There are clips at half-time with three male owners having a shootout challenge – if you can call it that.

🙂

And at the end there are new shots of the players and their families and Eddie How meeting the Chairman and getting a big hug from ….. Amanda Staveley.

During the game we did everything but score and win, but in the 92nd minute Nick Pope made an absolutely brilliant save, otherwise we could have even lost the game.

But we got the draw, and all of Tyneside is now celebrating an amazing and historic accomplishment for this season.

Taking stock – well the ‘easy’ bit is over getting into the Champions League!!
Now comes the hard bit staying in the top Four, competing in all cup competitions and in the Champions League year after year.
Well have to be aclever in the transfer market to build a strong squad.

Hopefully gonna a be a fun ride!!

A repost of the link magicmac54 put up last night. For anyone unfamiliar with him he’s a Man U fan, You Tuber and radio presenter, he has nearly a million subscribers on YT and 700K on tw@tter, so must know his onions.
Well worth a listen to what he’s got to say on us.

    And Keegan.
I used to live in Boston, well for 6 months on our off in Waltham.
    Boston is a great city.

Passion and attacking football, forgot about that bit.
This reminds me of back then , nearly 30yrs ago, scarey. Attacking football , the atmosphere, there was a reason teams like Man U and Liverpool were scared of us.

Man Utd lad was doing OK before he questioned Eddie and compared him to Mark Hughes.

Only one manager who could be currently said to be greater than Eddie, its clearly Pep. But look at Peps squad.

Eddie is here to stay, has proven he can setup our team to play against so called ‘top coaches’.

We have been unreal and it all stems from Eddie. All of it. Beyond criticism is the main man.

Hope Man Utd lose the last 2 games and Liverpool overtake them. Rashford is delaying signing a new deal, maybe waiting to see if Man Utd qualify for CL. Ideal signing, well-versed playing across the front 3.

So all the naysayers (Jordan et al) are all starting to really change their tune about Eddie and his team. (Wow would you believe it lol). Many of them saying things like our owners didn’t have a clue as to what they were doing with so many terrible decisions made, Eddie Howe was a terrible appointment as he was that guy that got Bournemouth relegated, the list goes on and on from these know nothing’s, ignorant, featherbrained Anti-NUFC brigade.

So, fast forward to here and now and many of these so called football experts/pundits have really ended up with egg on their faces. I don’t know how they can keep a straight face in all honesty, when saying all the very positive (and warranted) comments about al things NUFC as they are at present. At times when the TO first happened, it seemed a very fashionable thing to do to have or give a negative reaction/opinion about Wor amazing club, and even the great city of Newcastle upon Tyne? Well our amazing owners, Eddie, his coaching staff and the super professional squad of players have shown all them naysayers up for what they are and that is charlatans of the football world, I mean these clowns actually get paid to spew their nonsense. Well everyone has sat up and took notice of NUFC now, all them negative comments about wor club have been well and truly rammed right back down their throats and it’s great to see we’ve ruffled so many feathers, not least Klipperty Klopp and Daniel Levy. Poor lads they must be seething aww bless them.

I’m convinced that we will get an unbelievable Summer transfer window, I’ve absolutely no doubt about it. They will be really well thought out signings such as Bruno, Botman, Isak…

I’m also convinced we will up another notch next season. Again we’ve heard many so called football experts saying as we are in the CL we will not have a squad that will cope. Let’s see about that as we most certainly will. I think we need to target a top 4 finish again next season, have a really good shot in all the cup competitions, but have a right good go in the champions league.

If we get a cup final again next season we’d be victorious this time, it’s the belief that Eddie and his squad give me. These lads are literally capable of anything and this season is just the start and a huge warning to everyone, not only the EPL, but Europe.

Good points on neymar. What a player and guaranteed success, worth quite a few points by himself.

But, salary. He’s done it all, no hunger maybe. And… you mentioned the other concerns.

Look at Aubemeyang (sp.). Best player in the league, offered nothing this season.

    You have your answer…

Hungry super talented French and Brazilian young players?

    Absolutely.

Good interview with the Man U fan, Raj!

The table at the end of the season doesn’t lie. It’s a cliché that’s true! Forget all that Var injustice nonsense or big six bias. We are rightfully there. Liverpool won’t be there, because they don’t deserve it.

Wonderful moments in my life following Newcastle since 1960. Enjoy the moment lads and then look forward with anticipation.

We’ve overachieved, we’ll need to recruit big but without upsetting the balance.

Like Shearer said, stand still you fall behind, because the others are running. So…

    Three top players. No more.

Loved seeing all the celebrations on the hallowed turf of SJP from Eddie, his coaching staff, the players, their families and last but not least our owners.

That picture that was taken of them in front of the Gallowgate was like one big family photo, amazing togetherness as they were all given each other hugs of joy.

What was really extra special for me was all the bairns on the pitch with their toon strips on kicking the ball about and Miggy with Baby Miggy kicking the ball into the net at the Gallowgate end to a huge cheer from the crowd was absolutely priceless. Great scenes and you just know this is just the start of what’s to come something truly magical.

    Onwards and upwards.

NUFC have overachieved this season you reckon, really?

Personally I don’t think we’ve overachieved at all, we are in the top 4 for a good reason. I’d say it’s been a huge surprise that we are top 4 but I really don’t get the overachievement part at all as we are there on merit and merit alone.

    Maddison, Mount, Rice.

    Pick one.

Me, Rice. But Maddison may be the more realistic option.

Would prefer to see three players from outfield, people who are in their very early 20s with bags of potential and talent who are absolutely ready to start, however.

For example, that Aussie player we have signed doesn’t seem to be battle ready…

Just quickly as I’m up to my eyes in work. I totally agree mate, we need to really step it up in the summer transfer market, not only for much better quality players to take on Europes elite but we will need a much better squad depth that’s for sure.

We won’t stand still that’s for sure and I am massively excited as to who we being in this summer. I’m very much convinced it will be the best we’ve ever witnessed. To get CL football was huge not only for getting more money and away trips on the continent again, but a much better pool of players that we can realistically go after that will really take us to the next level, however Eddie will want all the boxes ticked as to their strengths, character and can fit in with the current squad togetherness and harmony. That’s so important and they’ve recruited amazingly well so you can expect super talented exciting players that will be brought in. Fantastic and super exciting times we have in front of us all.

@Fen ( if your still in the place )

0k, one week ago, i was absolutely sure it was total BS and it was no way about Neymar.

And i still think there’s 1/1000 chances it could happen.

But someway, somehow, it change from a rumour to a campaign.

Granted, we don’t want him, but PSG want the deal to happen and far more important, i now think the player and his advisors want the deal to happen.

So ultimately, it’s all about the lad… if he want to play for us ( and for a reasonable price PSG seem ready to concede ), we should ask him why.

    Good Morning Folks

I think it`s safe to say we have all formed an emotional affiliation and attachment particularly to the players who belonged to the old regime under the unmentionable one, who have performed well above what we thought was possible, but as we enter the next phase of this incredible journey we all know most of these lads will be making way for for an new group of players, but these lads who are getting phased out have earned our full respect and admiration for everything they have done for the Toon, and no doubt they will never be forgotten by the Geordie Faithful.

    Call me a fool….

But remember what we all thought and said of Big Jo two years ago?

Then, Eddie the almighty came ( and our beloved Mandy, and Mad dog, and Merhad he who lost half time challenge, and Dan the man with such an unpronounceable name for a french, and… well… all people who bring such a special spirit in the club ).

Seen the player he is right now?

I mean, if we really believe in NUFC, the question is not will Neymar change us or what he’ll to bring us… rather will we change him an what we will bring to him.

Mount has declined a new contract as clearly he doesn’t think Chelsea can repair the mess they are in.
Man U and Arsenal want him. I’d let him go there.
Maddison is a Trippier Mk2 in waiting. He’ll grow and flourish under Eddies guidance.
    Plus some European talent.

Let’s be cleat about one thing.

I don’t want him for marketing reasons, to sell shirts or things like that.

He’s the most gifted player in the world. If he can, somewhere, inside in soul, find back the passion, the commitment, if he can embrace the cause of the Toon’s army… if on the Tyne, he could reckon something special… call it destiny if you want. If all the passion we all have could find an echo in his bones, in his blood.

One more, time granted, such story doesn’t happen in real life.

    But…

If i was DA or EH, i would simply ask him this: ” Do you want to play with us, and why?”

neymar no thanks, paid to much and really is just one big problem, we need quality good grafters with bags full of skill, eddie howe we have the best english manager in england by my reckoning

going to maddison he has a year left of his contract aye, there is nowhere in hell id pay 60 million for him, maybe 25 million thats it take it or leave it with only a year left on his contract its just throwing money away, id be after philips of man city, bowen of west ham or brunos mate, we also need a good quality striker, 1 classy tall ball wining defender and a few other players to combat next seasons matches

players to leave I fully expect asm to go, am not a great lover of the player really aye he kept us up but he didnt do that on his own did he, also i dont like it when players leave the club to twoddle off to france for medical care even if theres a fitness coach from the club with him, on top of that he does not defend, by my thinking there be about 6 players leaving this summer
