Video – Take In The Brilliant Atmosphere After the Game Last Night – Fantastic To Watch

Here is an excellent video made by Newcastle Fans TV, one of the top Vlogs on Newcastle, after the game ended which shows the players, coaches and their families at St James’ Park – it’s just great to watch, and you can feel the atmosphere.

You can subscribe to their YouTube channel here.

And I heard Hey Baby being sung by the crowd after the game.

It was a big hit for Bruce Channel in the UK back in 1961 – when I was a young 31 – if I remember correctly?

🙂

Take a listen.

We were under the East Stand banner, quite surreal as the Millburn Stand was lit up in the distance , very er moving, nearly a tear there.

The main compliment I could probably give Anderson in his last 4 or 5 appearances our quality hasn’t noticeably went down when he has been on the field

In fact in some games its improved our team such as the Forest game where he was excellent

If he could build himself up to be a plug and play reserve next season where he can fill in a number of positions in the middle of the field with a minimum of fuss then I think that could certainly be classed as a success for the academy?

Then you never know if he ended up getting a run of 4 or 5 games to really show what he can do might save the club millions

I remember reading an interview with one of the Brentford guys and they were saying that you can’t really judge a player until they have had X number of consecutive games which is very hard for a player at a bigger club to get but Anderson has shown decent signs for me

2 of the best moments of our season for me:
    * Dan Burn goal in the cup
    * Murphys display against Spurs
Both seem like very humble and genuine lads with good hearts. And it was a joy to see them realise their dreams.

    Here is Alan Shearer’s heartfelt message to Eddie Howe in full, it’s a great read;

I meant to ask, what was the flag dis play in the Gallowgate. Also, what was really weird was the one in the Leazes was really hard to make out until you looked at it through your camera.

Anderson looks a player. If he lacks anything atm it’s a bit of self confidence, a few times last night he seemed as if he wanted rid of the ball a little too quickly. On occasions he passed to Isak with 3 men on him, when turning the opposite way towards goal would have had a better result for him. Just needs a few games I reckon, could be a blinding player.

Yeah there was so many times I was like just drive into the box and have a shot but he was playing it safe

Although some of his little passes into the channels were great for Isak to run onto

Self belief aye. He didn’t look out of place last night. He could have played a few more forward passes. And if we could get him into space he could offer similar carrying abilities as Willock and he has strength and pace. Was very tight last night so I’m looking forward to seeing more of him. Hopefully he starts at Chelsea.

That’s it, developing a player takes time and more importantly patience.

I really hope we are a club that will give players a chance and time to develop in the first team. It’s a difficult balance when chasing trophies and success, but I would much rather be a club with the odd dip in form at times than a club who just buys the best 20 players and doesn’t develop young players.

TS – indeed Isak has got some skill. With him having lanky legs he can get some great touches – bit like Demba Ba who I’m sure had telescopic legs.

    There’s a bit of a trend developing.

We all know ASM can dribble.
    So can Isak
    So can Anderson,
    So can Bruno and Joelinton,
    So can Willock and Longstaff
    So can Almiron
So can Gordon and I believe young Miley can too……see what I mean?

Although we’ve played some great passing football this season, we also have in our ranks a number of excellent ballplayers who can run and dribble past defenders.

That low block won’t be a success against us next season I’m sure.
    Looking forward already 😀

That’s what i saw too, with Anderson.
Little scared to make a mistake, so offed it to Isak…in time, he’ll just do his own thing, too.

I think getting Bruno and Joe Linton signed up were masterstrokes. I didn’t think much of Joe at first but this season he had been incredible.
His fighting aggression is incredible – I’m sure as well with his size and facial expressions he puts the fear of God into opposition players.
And Bruno – he was snatched under the noses of some of the “big” teams- another masterstroke.

Good afternoon Loch mate, you must have savoured that occasion and atmosphere last night lad, i have never been as tense and nervous for many a day, as the saying goes football is usually decided by tiny margins, i mean we totally dominated the game from start to finish and could easily won by 5 or 6, on the other hand i genuinely think Bruno was very lucky he didn`t get sent off, then that last 10 minutes was like an endurance test, my nerves were totally shattered mate. Loch as they say All`s well the Ends Well.

Well what a week of football, thankful for been at both the Brighton and Leicester games with my old man, he actually got emotional last night at full time as he never thought he’d see days like these again in his life time, thats both of us keeping an eye on the draw for the CL now so we can plan some trips away….. He is also extremely happy as he can now rub my very smug uncles face (Liverpool fan) in it as he’s just the usual sour puss Liverpool fan always playing the victim, although he never goes to live games, is born and raised in the North East as has NO affiliation with Liverpool.

Anyways, I think I’m personally just about over my mini heart attack that occurred around the 90+ minute mark last night, Nick Pope paid that £10m fee back with that one save, thought young Anderson looked decent enough, didn’t shy away, some of our loose passing was a concern, Schar and Trippier the main culprits, other than that steady team performance and it was just one of those games you seem to have where nothing just seems to go in haha…. Onwards to Chelsea where I’d be shocked if Howe didn’t make some changes, personally can’t see Bruno playing, if he’s been playing with a knock then you may as well send him away now to get it sorted, think we may see Lascelles and Ashby get a start, maybe even Big Dan Burn move into the middle and Targrett get a run out, think this would be my team:

    ——————Dubravka—————
    Ashby — Lascelles — Burn — Targett
    —— S. Longstaff — Joelinton ——
    Murphy ——- Gordon ——– ASM
    ——————–Isak——————–

Just give players a much needed rest and avoid any daft injuries with nothing really now to play for, gives some players a chance to bow out who may leave in the summer.

Munster, think there’ll be a lot of old timers who’ll be feeling the same today…. My old man has only missed 3 home games in the last few years, only missed on this season (Villa) as he was away on holiday…. I’ve managed to get to every home game the past 2 season with him when I’ve been home and in the country, so long may that continue.

I do not want to see Pope as our Pots, he’s a fantastic GK and I love him to bits but GKs as our Pots in the past have been in our bad years when we had to depend on them.

One player not getting a mention and who by general blog consent has been the missing link when he has been absent is Wor Sean. Ask the players who they most wanted in the team alongside them and I’d bet it was him.

    I’ll be voting for him.

My player of the season has to be the big man himself. Joelinton, reasons being it’s where he has come from being everyone’s scapegoat in the dark horrible days, he didn’t go missing then and always put his all in. So many of these fluffy players these days would have gone on the treatment table. Big Joe wouldn’t dream of it he is made of Osmium metal.

This season he has really came into his own, he runs through brick walls for the cause and never gives up. The man leaves absolutely everything on the pitch and he must be a nightmare to play against. We know we have so many success stories in the squad, however I feel Joelinton epitomises everything about what we were, to what we have become. I absolutely love the man, and seeing his face in the dugout last night it was cut with emotion, it just shows you what it means to him. Well done to him for such a great season…Big Joe, now show Brazil what you are capable of in the CL next season and get into the Brazilian national team with wor Bruno, wow does he deserve it.

I find it very difficult to choose a player of the season, as you could make valid case for any member of the team winning that prestigious award giving the monumental improvement by every single player in the squad, and that`s all down to Eddie Howe and the every member of the coaching squad. On a side note i`m so happy to see Graeme Jones playing a huge and influential part in our coaching team as that lad just eats and breaths black and white blood.
