Here is Eddie Howe’s interview with Sky Sport’s reporter Keith Downie before tonight’s third and final game in the Premier League Summer Series in America against Brighton, who finished 6th top of the Premier League last season on 62 points.
The game will take place in the Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, just across the Hudson River from New York City.
It is the home stadium of the New York Red Bulls of Major League Soccer and NJ/NY Gotham FC of the National Women’s Soccer League.
It should be another close and interesting game tonibht with the kickoff set at 7:30pm local time – that’s 12:30am (Saturday) Newcastle time.

Comment #441I must go, so I’ll just summarise my two posts:
Bruno, good, wants more money, I get it.
ASM, good đ

Comment #442I’ve read that article by Lee Ryder, I can’t see any quoted straight from Bruno that confirm that.

Comment #443I think Young Anderson and L Miley have saved the club ÂŁ50m as we wonât be needing another midfielder now. Theyâve both been absolutely amazing on this trip. Eddie must be buzzing to have such young talent who are both clearly EPL ready. I can see huge potential and also see huge futures at the Toon for them both. What a time in NUFCs long history for them to make it. Itâs as if it was wrote in the stars.
Iâm over the moon for them both. Not forgetting Anthony Gordon, we just know he is going to have a Stellar season. Also Young Alex Murphy had a very bright future with the toon. I love to see so much young talent blossoming at the toon it makes everything else taste so much sweeter.

That quote from Bruno, I can’t seem to find any reference of him saying it, looks like typical Chronicle clickbait with Ryder taking Eddie H’s comments and his own thoughts and making a headline from it.

Comment #445Jail, Bruno gave some quotes to the Chronic. Basically âlove it hereâ, âwant to stayâ, âcontract talks ongoingâ, ânothing agreed yetâ.
Basically a little âget your finger outâ message to the board. đ

I honestly think and have been saying it for awhile now that our interest in Maddison cooled because of the emergence of EA.

Comment #447From Craig Hope in the Mail
“DEAL BRUNO IN?
Bruno Guimaraes told us in New Jersey on Friday that there is âdoubtâ over his contract situation, sparking concern among supporters. The Brazilian wants a new deal but no agreement has been met with the club.
Howe was asked about the issue after this game. âThere is no doubt in my mind about his future,â he said. âWe would love Bruno to extend his stay here for a long time. Iâm not party to those talks every day, and there are talks ongoing. I think Bruno knows how we feel about him and I know heâs very happy here. We hope there is a solution to be found.â
The problem Newcastle have is that theyâre working to a wage structure that already has Bruno at its summit. Rewarding him with a bumper pay increase could well create issues elsewhere in the squad.”

You could well have a very valid point there mate re EA emergence. Eddie will have been very impressed that Elliot came back even fitter than last season and the fittest NUFC player after the break. Eddie may well have thought whatâs the point of spending ÂŁ50m on Maddison when we have such a good player in Anderson. Bringing in Maddison may have had the potential to slowed down EA development.
I think we will see great things from Elliot Anderson this season, look at the season Miggy had last season on the back of a very good preseason, hopefully we shall see the same this season with young Anderson đ

Aye Maxiâs goodbye is up there with the best farewell as it was clearly from the heart and full of emotion. He clearly loved the great city of Newcastle, the people that live in the city and absolutely loved representing and playing for the club. He will be a huge miss but we have gained a very special passionate member of the toonarmy in Maxi.
I wish him all the very best and thank him from the heart for being such a bright shining light in the very darkest of days supporting my beloved NUFC.

Comment #452Maxi was unplayable on his day, just not enough of those days!
I saw some positives in Barnes against Brighton,he is more direct and a good worker.
For me the standout players have been Miley and Anderson,it puts a smile on a Geordie face.
