Video Match Cam Of Newcastle’s Fantastic 5-1 Win At Home To Villa

This video will be well worth watching and it is the behind-the-scenes video (video match cam) taken by nufcTV for our first Premier League game of the season – at home to a good-looking Aston Villa.

Both sides did very well last season with Newcastle finishing in 4th place on 71 points and Villa finishing in 7th place on 61 points.

But it turned out to be a no-contest with Newcastle blowing away the Villains in the second half, after leading 2-1 at the break.

Newcastle went into a higher gear after half time and we looked absolutely awesome and added three unanswered goals for the 5-1 win.

Did I say we were awesome?

Know only on for short time but think Burn should be higher in poll though only one winner from yesterday and he got it

I sort of agree but if a Real Madrid offer him ridiculous wages we will need to review our wage structure to fend them off

Tonali definitely deserved MOM but Gordon ran him close and Isak can’t be ruled out

Two out of three Burn votes were mine. Vote for him instead of just praising him, increase his haul by 25% 🙂

Apologies for the repost but this is something I feel very strongly about.

I’ll happily associate myself with the minority here. Catchy, if everyone subscribed to your philosophy there wouldn’t be a football pyramid. You’re comparing apples and oranges IMO. A big difference is the funding. Gateshead Town cannot complete with a premier league team, they don’t have the funds.

Women’s Football was huge but then had it’s throat cut by the FA. It’s starting to resurge but they’ve effectively started from scratch. As supporters get priced out they will turn to alternatives, be it U21s or the lasses or the lower leagues. It’ll take time but I can see all women’s sports growing massively.

As for the notion that lasses can’t dunk I actually laughed. Here’s some High Schoolers (so 18 and under) doing just that. The first ones a bit painful mind and yes they are full size 10 foot hoops.

    https://youtu.be/ZXtxd6HZQs8

Oh and having had a Season Ticket for Newcastle Eagles for 26 years I’m not a fan of dunks. I’d much rather see a 5? 10? Point Guard break the ankles of the defender guarding him. That means put him on his backside by wrong footing him. We all enjoy different things mate.

Not sure I agree women’s football was huge at any time, apart from the USA.

Watched some, it’s improving, but light years behind. Most pub teams would win the world cup. It’s the way it is.

In other sports, like tennis, they are doing fine. In football, not yet.

When the Lasses get to the top league they will be getting gates of 25.000 + plus at St James Park each game.

    That is my prediction.

    Essex,
I disagree with your disagreement :).

Anyway, good night folks, like Ed said in his previous post, no need to get into arguments.

We’ll have plenty of chances for that when we lose a game or two.

    Then again…. 😉

Cyprus. It is a different game played very well. I can’t see a women beating the men’s 100m record. Or in Tennis, or rugby, or football, or cycling etc.

Take it for what is is and enjoy it. England Woman’s team passing and movement has been sublime.

Still, I watch Molesey U16’s play footie. (Black and white stripes)

Very last one. Pug, I agree with your perspective.

Was just saying to mongrel that football was never “huge”. In the USA, ok, plenty of women play the sport. In most countries, it’s a rarity.

Women’s 100 metres, huge. Tennis, huge. Football, not quite.

I’ve been enjoying watching the womens games and have wished could have had one or two playing for us. But during the last world cup, Keith (Peacock) and his wife were up in Shields and think it was the semi we were watching. He said good as they seem, would struggle to play at conference level, and that is from someone who has played, coached and managed in the game. Still enjoyed watching, just gutted no shirt swapping at the end

CH, you just do not get it.

Woman’s sport is a “different” sport to the men’s game. Not inferior, different. But good to watch.

I have played squash vs 3 world champions.

    Jahangir Khan killed me.

Jansher did not go much better.

Played Lucy Soutter. At the time, woman world champion, all 5 foot and a small bit. Did not go well either. More competitive but I was never going to win.
Lesson. Look at their skill levels. England woman’s WC team are very very good technical players.
