The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated

It’s all fair comment and discussion on a Toon blog but I definitely feel there are a few fans who are far too quick to heighten the expectations of a player after a few good matches and then the raised expectations lead other fans to criticise after a few average performances. Par for the course of being a Toon fan I guess…
I wouldn’t say that Bruno was our best player last year so maybe he’s just a very good player whose form will fluctuate like any other human being?
I’m sure the fans will roar his name on Sunday.

Comment #45investinyouthtoon – we don’t know if Joelinton will be fit for Liverpool yet, from what I read from Howe anyway. I think he’ll keep his cards close to his chest anyway even if he already knows.
My choice to replace him would normally be Willock but that’s not an option so I’d say there are 3 good options I can think of:
1 – Anderson
2 – Gordon (and put Barnes on the left)
3 – Bruno (and put Longstaff further back)
Happy with any of those 3 options to be honest. Shows strength in depth when we have those options despite 2 injuries in central midfield.

I genuinely don’t think the performance was bad against Man City. Here’s a way of reversing it a little…what do you think Man City fans thought of their performance? Especially the more critical of negative ones. I bet they some will be unhappy because they might be perceived as not playing as well as they have done, didn’t have too many chances, midfield was scrappy, Haaland was kept pretty quiet. Both teams didn’t look as good as they can because they both worked bloody hard and nullified a lot of threats. Two quality teams.
I think we’re better than this current Liverpool team. They’ve got some amazing players but they’re disjointed. I truly expected them to sign a quality defender and do better with their midfield signings but they’re struggling.

Comment #61TDS I guess some city fans would say they’re disappointed they didn’t batter us last weekend. But we also have a small number of those same fans who want us to sign mbappe and win the league and CL this season and every season going forwards. They’re entitled to their opinion as is every fan of their own club.
I can only comment on nufc, not city or any other team. I was disappointed with the performance of some (not all), but not the result.
But imo certain players didn’t showcase their talents last match and had a game where they’d say they let themselves, the teammates, the fans, EH and the club down.
As I’ve said before, if the lads give 100% every match, but lost, then I’d accept that. Can’t demand anything more than a team that tries.

Comment #66investinyouthtoon – fair enough. My opinion is that an excellent Man City team limited the ability of some of our players to showcase their talents but we’re not a million miles away from the same opinion.
Yeah, I’d expect the players to be disappointed with their performances, I want them to be! They’ll be going into every game believing they can win so any defeat should be an opportunity to analyse where things could be improved and then just move on to the next game. Actually…considering it’s now Wednesday, I think us fans should probably be moving on to thinking about the next game rather than the last one too… 🙂
