The summer transfer window in the UK will end on Friday 1st September at 11:00 pm local time.
With Sven Botman likely out for a few weeks with an injury he picked up in that disastrous 2-1 home defeat last Sunday against a 10 man Liverpool side, Newcastle may yet be tempted to go into the market for a center-back.
Craig Hope had reported that the injury was not as bad as first thought, so maybe Newcastle will not be tempted, especially since it’s really a right footed center-back we need as cover for Fabian Schar.
? Understand early indications are that Sven Botman has avoided serious damage to his ankle after injury suffered on Sunday. More news awaited ahead of weekend but I’m told it’s not as bad as perhaps first feared #nufc

We would assume that Dan Burn, who often lacks pace at left back, will fill in for Sven and either Matt Targett or newly signed Lewis Hall will come in at left back, although it may be a bit early for Hall to start.
Here is the transfer table as we see it – not sure if I have missed anything.

Comment #682We’ve had by far the worst opening games in the EPL
The second worst (Man City away would be worst) draw in the Carabao Cup
and
The most difficult group by a long way in the ECL
What would be the odds of that and do those spouting that there’s a conspiracy against us correct?

Haven`t been on here from that smash-and-grab freak result last week, with a fair wind and any semblance of luck we could easily have won that game by 3 or 4 goals!!! I knew the usual suspects would be throwing their toys out of the pram or trying to undermine Eddie Howe at every opportunity, and to think a small minority on this blog accuse Man Utd of having self entitled arrogant plastic fans, hypocrisy wouldn`t even come close HWTL.

Comment #686I would have preferred Lascelles (if he is ok) to Burn at CB but if its long term, I hope Burn takes his chance
