Current Newcastle Transfers In And Out – With Just Two Days Left In Window

The summer transfer window in the UK will end on Friday 1st September at 11:00 pm local time.

With Sven Botman likely out for a few weeks with an injury he picked up in that disastrous 2-1 home defeat last Sunday against a 10 man Liverpool side, Newcastle may yet be tempted to go into the market for a center-back.

Craig Hope had reported that the injury was not as bad as first thought, so maybe Newcastle will not be tempted, especially since it’s really a right footed center-back we need as cover for Fabian Schar.

We would assume that Dan Burn, who often lacks pace at left back, will fill in for Sven and either Matt Targett or newly signed Lewis Hall will come in at left back, although it may be a bit early for Hall to start.

Here is the transfer table as we see it – not sure if I have missed anything.

Politics on the blog rarely ends well. Ulez is a prime example. Boris’s baby that came into force as Khan assumed power. Now it has been weaponised politically by both sides and is toxic. I’d rather disagree about football, thanks.

So you’ve jumped on the politico bandwagon and you’ve decided I’m far left?

Ffs man, get a grip.. you wouldn’t have a clue what far left or right is unless you’re relying on the likes of Bettysbollocks, Fenham and Tuff to keep you right!

And for what it’s worth, I’ve voted Lib Dem for the last few elections – hardly means I’m storming the barricades…. innit!

Looking forward to seeing the kit announcement and CL draw this Friday. Also whether we bring in any further reinforcements before the window shuts will be interesting.

As for the match vs Brighton, I’m hoping to see a positive reaction from the team. Wonder who will have the best reaction from both clubs latest poor showing.

AG will be guaranteed a run in the team with his recent form, especially vs Liverpool where I felt he was MOTM. I’d bring Murphy in wide right attacking in place of Miggy, who I feel needs a rest or time out of the spotlight.

I have never been one to discuss politics on here because there are better places to do it if that is your thing. Here is a second hand thought though:

“In religion and politics people’s beliefs and convictions are in almost every case gotten at second-hand, and without examination, from authorities who have not themselves examined the questions at issue but have taken them at second-hand from other non-examiners, whose opinions about them were not worth a brass…” – Mark Twain.

    😀

Anyway back to footy. Tonight’s CL fixture of interest is:

FC Copenhagen vs. Raków Czestochowa (agg 1-0) – If Rakow can get through we gain €1.137M.

In other news Pardew is on SSNs panel tonight. It was quite funny when he was asked what has been up to for the last few years and he glossed over his stints in the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Greece. Apparently he would like a job and a chance to win something but does not want to have to fire-fight.

The utter clown. His reputation as a manager is in the gutter. He cant pick and choose.

Tremendous comedy blogging today. Absolutely tremendous – can not get much better.
My flush ’em out post earlier had expected to flush out loony leftoid Lesh but it also flushed out TDS who is obviously another lefty but spends loads of time on here denying it.

They are now denying their political beliefs and are at each others throats denying they are socialists, with leftoid Lesh now stating he is a liberal.
(imagine the vista -Lesh in a Demis Roussos style kaftan, complete with Jesus sandals and a beard. The beard being full of museli which he scoffs for his brekky.)

Like ferrets in the sack – tremendous comedy blogging today.

I don’t discuss politics on here because it’s a dying man’s wish that we don’t.

Last time I made a polite request not to do so, I was accused of being a n@zi, with the accuser likening himself to Anne Frank and a champion of free speech.

Politics exists in just about everything we do and say folks, but please keep party politics off the blog.

Wor B, fair point, well made.

On 4-2-3-1 Juanma Lillo, a Spanish coach is credited with devising it in 1991. It has been adopted all over the world perhaps most famously the great Les Bleus side of 1998.

Oh and I’m the one person on here who’s not insulted by being called a mackem. The clue is in the name. Work it out lad.

Lesh – as I made clear to Betty, I didn’t call you far left and I didn’t call Betty far right either. But I’d say from what both of you have said on here, your politics are in the 10% of people furthest right or left.

You definitely don’t talk like a Lib Dem voter so I’d hazard a guess that you’re doing so tactically. Nothing wrong with that at all.

I just happen to disagree with what a lot of the likes of you, Tuff, Betty, and others say on here politically. Also not the place for it but I’d happily chat about it over a beer one day.

CBob – you’re not p*ssing in the wind if you’re helping a local councillor, not at all. You can’t expect to change the world alone but you can do the right thing and inspire others to do it too. All I’d say is it’s not worth trying to fight the battles you can’t win but absolutely worth fighting the battles you can. If you have involvement to help a new community centre being built or help stop a local walk-in centre from being closed then you’ve done more than most people do for society.

Gonna do a golf brag for the golfers here though. Played 9 holes this evening and shot my first ever 9 holes under 40. A 2 over par 39. Bloody delighted with that. Now I just need to do similar in a comp. 🙂

Still not playing a round with a stranger for a grams though…
