There are various recent reports that Newcastle want to sign young Juventus star forward Matias Soule in January.
The 20-year-old Argentine U20 International forward is playing well on loan at Italian club Frosinone in the Serie A this season, and it seems that Juventus are willing to sell the player for €25M (£21.8M) in January.
Juventus have money problems and have to sell players quickly to improve their poor financial position.
The left-footed player usually plays on the right wing and is on a season-long loan at Frosinone, but that could all change if Newcastle are really interested in signing the player in January.
Another advantage is he is versatile and can play in multiple forward positions.
Soule has played 16 games this season at Frosinone with 6 goals and an assist, and he has looked like an impressive young player in Serie A.
He has played 21 times for the Juventus first team with one goal.
His style of play is stated as follows on Wikipedia
“Soule is a left-footed right winger, noted for his dribbling ability and set-piece taking, earning him comparisons to Angel Di Maria.”
He was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and is of Italian descent, and he holds dual citizenship, and considers Independiente his favorite team and Lionel Messi his favorite player (that’s a surprise).
Soule has 7 caps for the Argentine U20 side so he is a typical Newcastle target.
He’s a young player (who stands 6ft tall) and looks to have the ability to become much improved at Newcastle, under the guidance of head coach Eddie Howe and his coaching staff.
However, Newcastle are not the only club keeping an eye on the youngster, with other top European clubs are also aware of the player’s talents.
It would be a surprise to us if Newcastle sign any players permanently in January.
But there again, if a target is available in January for a decent price, and can help us in the second half of the season, as long as it’s within FFP rules and for the long term, Newcastle should sign the player.
Soule is certainly one to keep an eye on for next month, once the transfer window opens.
What do you think?

Comment #11It was real comedy blogging on here last night, i thought at one point i had logged onto a nursery school`s chat line by mistake it was that childish.
Take a look at last night`s convo`s, the teacher must of been embarrassed.
If it was me involved in the drivel i would be fkin embarrassed anarl tbh, and would think twice about showing my face on here again .
No doubt it will be the same garbage again tonight, so anyone wanting the next shower of shite episode pull yourself up a nice comfy seat , get yourself some popcorn and tune in after 7pm.
Its coming up to Xmas so the main players will be on bonuses, i`m sure you will get even extra value for money.

Comment #12I think the ESL will happen eventually, if it does how would fans feel if our owners wanted a slice of the action?
I think the majority of our fans were dead against it a while back, as i was also, i still am, but the club are becoming a much higher profile club now with bags of dosh to boot, and as we know, its all about the money.
I would be a hypocrite if i voted to join the ESL after wanting the idea booted out for good, however , i bet there are Toon fans who would change their mind if we were invited into it.

Comment #13I think we might be surprised in January, we are in good hands, nobody could of prepared for the amount of injuries we have had – but two or three players will hugely assist.
I know he is well liked around the training ground/players, but Ritchie should be nowhere near the pitch let alone on it – served us well, maybe there is a role for him withing the camp, but not as a substitute. Just my opinion.
A European place is badly needed, not bothered which competition.

Comment #15WLT, the thing is would these elite clubs want us, the format is still a closed shop, they’re desperate to grab the money, and wouldn’t want us anywhere near us
There’s a top tier with only the elite clubs by invite only. No competition. Like the EUFA spoke persons, said let them have the competition with the 2 clubs.
How are players going to manage another league they’re on their knees now.

I doubt very much we would be invited because there will only be room for so many clubs and i would say most of the names involved would be set in stone anyway, but i was just interested in how other fans would feel IF the Toon were invited.
I think our owners would want a piece of the pie even if most of our fans didn`t,
like say, i think it`s all about revenue unfortunately.

Comment #21If we have picked up more injuries from the Chelsea game I see us losing to Luton. They will really be up for it and they’ve given all the top sides a good game. We are seriously weakened. They couldn’t play us at a better time. I thought we could lose all our matches this month and with the exception of Fulham, it’s looking that way. We only beat Fulham as they were down to 10 men early on. I’m not criticising the players or manager. It’s just inevitable. A squad as depleted as ours just cannot play 2 games a week and expect to win.

Comment #23Onmeedson our injuries is surely unprecedented, especially the long term ones.
It’s hit us hard not having a big enough squad to rotate.
I’m worried for the next few games, got that sinking feeling,
Hope Eddie can rally the troops.

Afternoon to you.
Yeah I totally agree, only problem I forsee is the likes of Gordon, Lascelles, Miggy, Bruno etc could also be prime candidates for further injury.
One comes back, another gets injured.
As we are all aware, we have had substitutes sat on our bench reciting their ‘Ten times tables’ for a test at school on Monday 🙂
We need players ready to step in mate, I think we will get them, PIF don’t do basics, they will want Europe again.
Cheers matey.

Comment #25Ha ha, Bambams honestly how young does SMILEYMILEY look, but wait until he grows up, he’s a tall lad already.
Yes it’s frightening how we’re going to have hope there’s no more injuries to the remaining players.
Surely the owners will learn from this, and address it the transfer window.

Comment #39Not sure where this negative away from home stuff is coming from.
Man City – always a tricky game but were unlucky to not get at least a draw. Most teams are without the ball for most of the game against City but we gave it a decent go.
Brighton – We got well beat because we actually tried to play our way and Brighton played through it
Milan – Fist game in Europe at an intimidating place, always going to be tricky and the idea was probably to be cautious away and win our home games which would have seen us through
Sheffield – Battered them 8-0
West Ham – Battered them in all the stats and were very unlucky to only draw
Wolves – Same again, were better in all statistical departments and not playing negatively, just struggling in the final third.
Manure – Battered them
Dortmund – Fair play they were much better than us and set up well, we had more possession but their counters were devastating
Bournemout – First time the injuries seemed to really take toll, looked utterly fatigued and dead on our feet
PSG – Game plan worked perfectly, we were robbed at the end.
Everton – Again looked completely fatigued, but still we played pretty positively and dominated possession, just knackered and couldn’t create and didn’t have the legs to stop their counters and pace/pressing
Spurs – Again, looked completely destroyed fitness wise and dead on our feet
Chelsea – Dead on our feet and game plan nearly worked if not for a clearly not right at the moment Trippier mistake.
So in conclusion, not been negative other than games where it’s been very very obvious that the team is absolutely knackered because of the games played and injuries. Our away form has been shite this season but it seems incredibly obvious to me that it’s only down to our injuries and fatigue issues because of it.

Comment #40You toothpick, so we could easily be nackered against Luton and fail to win maybe even lose. It’s points and results that count now. 1 win all season is not good enough for top 4
