South American Forward On Newcastle’s Radar For January Signing

There are various recent reports that Newcastle want to sign young Juventus star forward Matias Soule in January.

The 20-year-old Argentine U20 International forward is playing well on loan at Italian club Frosinone in the Serie A this season, and it seems that Juventus are willing to sell the player for €25M (£21.8M) in January.

Juventus have money problems and have to sell players quickly to improve their poor financial position.

The left-footed player usually plays on the right wing and is on a season-long loan at Frosinone, but that could all change if Newcastle are really interested in signing the player in January.

Another advantage is he is versatile and can play in multiple forward positions.

Soule has played 16 games this season at Frosinone with 6 goals and an assist, and he has looked like an impressive young player in Serie A.

He has played 21 times for the Juventus first team with one goal.

His style of play is stated as follows on Wikipedia

“Soule is a left-footed right winger, noted for his dribbling ability and set-piece taking, earning him comparisons to Angel Di Maria.”

He was born in Mar del Plata, Argentina, and is of Italian descent, and he holds dual citizenship, and considers Independiente his favorite team and Lionel Messi his favorite player (that’s a surprise).

Soule has 7 caps for the Argentine U20 side so he is a typical Newcastle target.

He’s a young player (who stands 6ft tall) and looks to have the ability to become much improved at Newcastle, under the guidance of head coach Eddie Howe and his coaching staff.

However, Newcastle are not the only club keeping an eye on the youngster, with other top European clubs are also aware of the player’s talents.

It would be a surprise to us if Newcastle sign any players permanently in January.

But there again, if a target is available in January for a decent price, and can help us in the second half of the season, as long as it’s within FFP rules and for the long term, Newcastle should sign the player.

Soule is certainly one to keep an eye on for next month, once the transfer window opens.

Is it still ok to have a bit of fun on here?

    .
Some want to fight him, some say to ignore
Cos you don’t want the troll to troll anymore
But Mort, it would appear, is here to stay
So let’s appeal to the lad in a different way….

Pass the tin hat, I know I’m gonna get blasted
But I’ve come up with a plan to foil that Fat Bastad
Some of you fella’s have already tried
But all previous attempts fell by the wayside

Coming Home’s tried for months to have him found
But the slippery scoundrel is still around
    Pug even called in MI6
But he’s still getting up to the same dirty tricks

John J once wanted to call in the cops
But still the trolling never stops
And Clouseau can’t even crack the case
He’s still comes on here to mess up the place

It’s pointless trying to fight fire with fire
He just cranks up the insults even higher
We need to use more guile and craft
Because trying to fight him is just plain daft

He pays no heed to any of us guys
We need to box more clever and a little more wise
Who do you listen to in your life?
I bet it’s just your mam or your wife

What I think we need is a woman’s touch
So Carltoon, if you don’t think I’m asking too much
There may be a way to end this abuse
You could make an impassioned plea for a Christmas truce

He’s bound to stop if he’s asked by you
Or at least tone it down a notch or two
But if he continues to post within the same vein
We can threaten his ass with a visit from Jane!

Do you think he would listen? I think he just might
When he’s not OTT, I actually think he’s alright

    Or alternatively,

Remember that alt of Fenham”s, Little Davey
He could don a wig and a frock and say he’s a lady
Then complete the look with some lippy as well
Before arranging a meet in a seedy motel
And as Mort takes a shower, awaiting the ho
He could go all Norman Bates in that scene from Psycho

    😀

Gloom tks for your further comment re supporting locally etc

Believe me Ive had my dust ups as a kid for supporting NUFC but it never stopped me

I can only mainly speak for the Irish guys I know and in general, ( bar 1 who used to live in Newcastle during the KK years ) , the support is brutally hard core, its a joy.

I play 5 a side against and with some 25 yr olds and like TDS I was called a glory hunter. So I lifted up the bib and the shirt is the from the Andy Cole days

In fairness he was probably only taking the pisss

Munster – I’d say the same for anyone. We have an off topic channel on Discord so why not direct anyone to that if they want to talk politics? Keep this blog and the Discord general chat to talking about football and the Toon especially. Like I said, people with more right wing leaning views like Tuff have done exactly that and it’s worked well.

You just don’t or won’t get it – I do not want to discuss politics with anyone on here.

If the likes of, Gloom, Fenham and their ilk choose to peddle their right-leaning political views then I reserve the right to counter them.

You.probably haven’t noticed that one or two persist in peddling their political opinions on here and that is despite their hypocritical pleas that this should be a football blog, while applauding Ed for keeping it alive.

TDS, if that isn’t taking the pi$$ out of Ed, what is? It is that that I object to.
