Eddie Howe Gives An Injury Update Before The Tough Game At Aston Villa

Eddie Howe gave his press conference for the Premier League game at Aston Villa tomorrow night – KO time 8:15pm.

Howe did give an update on the injury situation, although no really big updates from what he had said on Friday.

Aston Villa are currently 4th top on 43 points – 14 more than Newcastle have at the moment.

This is Howe’s update this morning:

“Harvey is getting closer. He’s probably the closest, along with Callum. Then you go a little bit further back to Joe and a bit further again to Elliot, then we have a couple of others that are even further back.”

“Harvey and Callum are probably the closest to returning to help us.”

“We hope Miggy will be with us. Jamaal, I’m not so sure about. It’s not a serious injury but I think it might be enough to keep him out of this game – it will be close. We certainly hope to have Miggy with us.”

“It seems a long time ago (when we played Villa in 1st game of the season). I think we were at our best from an attacking sense that day.”

“We grew in confidence as the game went on and we scored some great goals.”

“The squad looked healthy and we had options – it was a difficult team to pick. I think that showed what we’re capable of.”

We have basically not had Joe Willock available all season and he’s played just 6 times – as many as the banned Sandro Tonali.

So there are two top central midfield players we have missed all season and Sean Longstaff has missed many games with injury too, and now we have Joelinton out for the season with his calf tendon injury.

We’d love to see an improvement in both our form and results as we get players back, and that will basically prove it’s the injuries that have damaged our season.

But Newcastle should still look at how they have handled the injuries, and see if there are some improvements they can make for next season.

Miley could be a proper beast in a few years. Needs taking out the firing line over coming months tho.

Please sign a ball carrying midfielder in next couple of days. We are propor sideways currently. Ends up at Burn and Sean and we give it away. 🙂

Jesus christ Munster im legitimately starting to think you’re Sean Casey. How on earth can you continue to think anything that guy says is true, in regards to Newcastle transfers. Thats a serious question too?

For the past 2 years he has literally made a show of himself hundreds of times saying this plsyer is done and that player is signed. Etc, how on earth can you continue to be fooled this many times, especially considering youre not this stupid.

Only logical explanation why you constantly keep bringing him up and try to legitimise him is you possibly are him??
