Match Cam Video: Aston Villa 1 Newcastle United 3

Here is the match cam (behind-the-scenes) video of our great 3-1 win at Villa Park last night, which was Villa’s first home defeat of the season in the league.

And they had gone 11 months since their last league defeat at home.

It was an excellent result for us, when we needed it most, and Eddie Howe’s game plan was excellent and we expect other clubs to copy what Newcastle did last night.

Villa played very narrowly in a 4-2-2-2 formation and Newcastle exploited that by using our wingers effectively, and with balls over the top.

Here’s the match cam video.

    Nicky,
Watch that video if you get a chance, really puts in to perspective our plight over these last couple of months.

Wolves need to get a grip and do the whole league a favour tonight.
Letting Tequila Rashford score after 5 mins is not a good start.
Erik the Tenth will be insufferable.
manu fans will regard this as the dawning of the age of Aquarius.

Yeah Jail, I saw that Adam Cleary vid yesterday. I think he’s very good, and that was good deep dive into what most of us would readily recognise, that our season has been compromised by having so many players missing and the tired legs that have resulted, particularly so, because of our high intensity style, which we need to give us our cutting edge, identity, etc.

We lose Bruno to suspension, and only have Miley and Sean to start, you’d imagine we’d have lineup from the outset in a 343 type set up, unless he’s willing to throw in Hall on the left side of midfield. We desperately need Willock and Anderson back, but of course we can’t rush them back.

    Some season!.

Does he start Livra at left back this weekend?

We are at home, and it’s against one of the lesser sides, so there must be a good case for it.

Charlie…Aye. I’d be embarrassed if my Grandaughter went over with that tackle. Very soft pen but unless VAR can conclusively prove there was no contact it wasn’t going to get overruled.

    No squad place for Hayden.
Wish him and family well. Great pro.

    Hayden joins QPR on loan
Newcastle United midfielder Isaac Hayden has joined Championship side QPR on loan for the remainder of the season.

Hayden has made 118 Premier League appearances, as well as 65 outings in the Championship.

“I feel very happy, very pleased to be joining QPR,” Hayden said.

With the midfield issues we have currently I feel Hayden could have been used. Im not saying start every game full 90 mins. We have 3 cms and play 3cms (not including White), Bruno is 1 card away from a 2 match ban. Hayden surely would be of more use to us currently then untested academy players to cover from bans or new injuries. It must mean Anderson and Willock are due back imminently. We are possibly paying some of Haydens wages still and I never heard of him over the years being a bad professional around the training ground. Just my thoughts
