Here’s another nufcTV video showing the Newcastle players in training for the game at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, which has an early 12:30 pm kick-off time.
All our games for the rest of the season are important, as we try to climb the Premier League table and also advance in the FA Cup.
Our 5th round FA Cup tie at Blackburn is on Tuesday, February 27th with a 7:45pm KO time.
Almost 80% of our readers think we can win the game this coming Saturday – that would be great.
Comments welcome.
Health Update:
8th February, 2024
An update on my health situation – we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects – diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones: there are no new treatments left for me to go on.
I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and will help treat the side effects of the many treatments I have had.
It’s down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many (many) wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
🙂
I will continue to write articles as long as I can.
Thanks for all your help through the years – it’s very much appreciated.
Ed Harrison

Comment #9Was it Quinny that said both Willock and Anderson were in training for the Forest game? They re not in the training video on this thread.
Unless they’re training by themselves and away from the cameras? Would be a huge positive if they were both in the squad at least. They’ve both been a huge miss.

Comment #16Gaslight from Gosforth. I am losing the will to live. Are you able to post without being racist or swear? Just asking (from a Pug) . Feel free to go back into the archives and find one swear word I have posted. I have went back 36 months and not found a post from you that was not offensive. (double negative may confuse it)

Comment #21You are one brave human being, Ed and I hope the lads can give you plenty of victories down the home straight. A win in the FA Cup final would do nicely as well. The club are moving forward and optimism is the watchword.

Comment #24Never quite sure who the real culprits are when it comes to vitriolic bile, over use of Anglo-Saxon phrases and vile behaviour but consider this.
If you are the top man, the would be Alpha make so to speak then please show everyone that you are man enough to stop the aggressive posting, apologise and start contributing to this famous blog with the accuracy of comment, good natured banter, humour and relevance to all matters NUFC.
On the other hand if you are not the top man and unable to admit to being big enough to change then we are all left with the conclusion that you are not worthy of this fine blog and forum for kindred toon fans
Out of respect to Dr. Ed and the blog I’m sure you are man enough to man up, step back and provide intelligent conversation in the future.
Other blogs are of course available if you feel unable to make the right decision. You know it makes sense.
Choice is yours.

Comment #25I know you don’t read the comments Dr Ed but a massive thank you from me. Go to the Cathedral on the hill up in the clouds knowing that you’ve made thousands of NUFC supporters proud for you to be one of us.
Not a coincidence that Going Home the theme for Local Hero is to be rerecorded announced today as that’s what you are to many of us.
A LOCAL HERO.
God bless you and be with you on this final straight.

I was so hoping you would stay around long enough to see some glory for NUFC. Didn’t quite happen last season for you, although the 4th place may have been enough for you. There is still the FA Cup this season, so let’s hope that is delivered.
Clearly this blog will fold as soon as Ed can no longer post, which could be anytime soon really. Let’s enjoy it while we can.
