Eddie Howe will not have Alexander Isak or Anthony Gordon available for Newcastle’s game at Nottingham Forest tomorrow.
But hopefully, Callum Wilson is available to start this game and we do have Harvey Barnes also available, after his comeback last weekend, when he scored in the 4-4 draw at home to Luton Town.
There will be some fans looking at who starts at left-back after Dan Burn was responsible for two of the goals we conceded last week in the 4-4 home draw.
It may be time to give England U21 International Tino Livramento a big chance at left-back. since the 21-year-old Croydon-born player has never let us down when he’s been in the Newcastle first team this season.
Here’s the team we would start tomorrow:
Dubravka
Trippier (c) Schar Botman Livramento
Longstaff Guimaraes Miley
Almiron Wilson Barnes
What team would you start tomorrow?

Comments are always welcome.

But that is what people have been saying. There have been freak injuries, overload injuries because of all the injuries and that the club would be looking at everything (not just “sack the medical staff’). They’ve replaced the head of physio.

Comment #5Great comment from onmeedsun on a previous page, especially the suggestion regarding the potential WorFlags tribute for Dr. Ed!

” One thing is for sure.
All of us who’ve have frequented this blog over the years will remember Ed when we actually win something, along with all the other toon fans we know who are no longer with us. It’s how we live on.
And if anyone has any pull with Worflags, how about a flag for Ed. I’m sure they’d do it for NUFC.com. All part of the Geordie community.”
If there is someone with the necessary contacts, probably via X / Twitter, it may be an opportune time for “everyone” to make a donation to Wor Flags for a tribute flag to Dr. Ed.
They have their own donation facility on their website but the site is unfortunately down at the moment; I was going to suggest WorB could perhaps organise it but I had second thoughts. 😉

Comment #6That’s the team I’d start too Ed.
Maybe give Harvey a 60 min runout then replace him with Murphy.
If we play the way we can though we should have too much for Forest.
It’s all about the attitude.
Still waiting, however, for one of my favourite players, little Joe, to come back. He gives us so much forward drive, mobility and pace. I really hope he hasn’t lost any of that in the last few months.

Comment #9I think EH will play BDB in place of Tino, or maybe as well as Tino, in a back 5, dependent on whether they have trained for it.

I’d also been onto the Wor Flags web site which is down, with this in mind.
I and plenty others here would I’m sure love to see a flag for Dr. Ed .
Maybe a large pic of the good man and some ongoing caption such as ‘Dr. Ed Local
Hero’ so that the flag is timeless and can be used again at future dates.
Daresay if a good few of us contribute then cost is covered and any surplus goes into the pot.
Would be good to have it at the Wolves game for obvious reasons, but also Mark Knopfler will play the Toon Aid version of ‘Local Hero’ then. ( Probably over the tannoy)
Can we find a way to go this.
Who has contacts with Wor Flags or are any of them known to us on the blog ?

Eddie has said that there has been mismanagement of injuries. Look of Joel for a start.

EH
“‘Joelinton’s injury is another freak injury one where he’s off-balance trying to switch play. He gets pushed in the back, his leg goes to an awkward angle and ends up with an injury. Unfortunately for us, any injury we’ve picked up this year hasn’t been a one or two week injury, it’s been six to eight weeks at a time where we can’t afford it.”

You still haven’t explained what you meant by “sticking our heads in the sand has achieved nothing” ergo all those defending our blip have achieved nothing. What did you want achieved if we’d all been on spouting negativity and blaming the manager. What exactly???

Comment #34Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God went missing for six days,
Eventually , Gabriel the archangel found him resting on the seventh day.
He inquired of God, ” Where have you been? God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds,
Look Gabriel, look what i`ve made, ”
Archangel Gabriel , looked puzzled and said , what is it?
it`s a a planet” replied God, ” i`ve put life on it, i`m going to call it Earth and it`s going to be a great place of balance”
Balance?” inquired Gabriel, still confused.
God explained, pointing to a different part of earth, ” For example, Northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth, while Southern Europe
is going to be poor, the Middle East over there will be a hot spot,”
” Over there i`ve placed a continent of white people, and over there is a continent of black people” God continued , pointing to different countries.
Over there i call this place America, North America will be rich and powerful and cold, while South America will be poor, and hot and friendly, And the little spot in the middle is Central America, which is a hot spot, Can you see the balance?
Yes” said the Archangel, impressed by Gods work, then he pointed to a small country in Western Europe, What`s that one?
Ah” said God, That`s Ireland, the most glories place on Earth,
There are beautiful snow capped mountains, untouched rivers, streams and lochs of exquisite , timelass beauty. The people make a drink called Guinness
or Whiskey which means ” The Water of Life”
The people are good looking , intelligent and humorous and they`re going to be found travelling the world, They`ll be extremely sociable, hard working and high-achieving, and they will be known throughout the world as warriors, engineers, inventors and pioneers.
Gabriel gasped in wonder and admiration but then said,
” Wait you said there will be BALANCE!!
God replied wisely,
Wait until you see the bastards i`m
putting next to them 😀 😀

The Premier League are understood to have informed clubs that City have indicated they may seek a private arbitration hearing to prevent the new rules being introduced. ‘

Comment #36I think he will stick with Burn tomorrow. Elanga has been out with a thigh problem for a month, so there will not be a speed merchant to cope with. I wonder if Miley needs a rest? Could Tino come in on the left side of midfield? Is Dubravka fully fit? Does Murphy step back for a rest? All questions to help with Eddie’s bingo!!!

So sorry to hear your sad news. I reckon we all know what Hospice care means but you have put up a great fight against that dreadful illness. It a shame that with all of the advancements they are making in it’s treatment that they haven’t found one for you.
I’m with all of your many many supporters on this blog and the other one in hoping that you will be still here to see us lift the FA Cup, our name has to be on it this year!
Not quite time for eulogies yet. Hopefully you still have a lot of time with your family, all the best Ed
