Nottingham Forest 2 Newcastle United 3 – NBC Sports Video Highlights

Here are the highlights of our great 3-2 win at the City Ground this afternoon when two goals from the brilliant Bruno Guimaraes were enough to give Newcastle a narrow 3-2 victory.

It was a decent enough performance from Newcastle but once again our defense looked a little shaky.

6 goals conceded in the last two games.

Haha, who do the Mail employ these days? 😀

“Liverpool move back to the top of the Premier League as Jurgen Klopp’s in-form front free of Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez score to open up two-point lead over champions Man City”

Of the available candidates when PIF were looking to releive SB of duties, I thought Eddie Howe was by far the best candidate. That carried through into last season, tho’ I think his team set-up and tactics started to be worked out towards the end of last season. This season has been a bit of an Eddie Howe disappointment. OK, lots of injuries, but the last couple of games show no understanding of how the opponenent are going to play against you. There are a lot of winnable games between now and the end of the season. If EH persists with the same set-up and tactics that he has been rolling out for the last 12 months, I don’t think he has a future at NUFC under PIF. I know this has been discussed on this forum, but there doesn’t seem to be a plan B. How he can justify playing BDB at LB today – please enlighten me. I wasn’t able to watch the match live, but listened on the radio; I never heard Wilson’s name mentioned until the 92nd minute. I can only think that a lot of the new staff appointed by NUFC are (all) EH family members.

It is a confusing and a problem that our defence isn’t anywhere near as stubborn as last season, if we scored it was highly likely we’d get at least a point, 2 and highly likely all three, can’t afford to need to score at least two to get something from games, that’s the biggest change for me

Does anyone buy into the idea that Graeme Jones may not have the input into training and tactics that made our defence so tight?

From what I gather from this season is Eddie needs time on training pitch to get his game together. Now in Summer if we have a busy one and get Europe aswell then Eddie will only have pre season to get it all together.

If we sign players late in window they wont get pre season with us. New players need bedding in.

So possibly we could have a repeat next season and struggle too who knows

We are really having to dig out results this season, especially away. The away wins last season by comparison seemed easy. The team are fighting for every result but clearly the balance isn’t what it was last season. I think there is a lack of pace at the back (Botman is decent but is Van der Ven), and in midfield. I think rest of season we are going to have games like today. Next season we’ll be a lot better.

And the ganging up and bickering is pathetic. The blog could be gone any day. Always the same people. Schoolyard stuff.

I know he’s a pro but you have to feel for BDB.
He’s so committed to our club but will be well aware of all the criticism, but he keeps putting the shirt on and fronting up.
We are a very excitable bunch when anything goes against us. As SBR said. On Tyneside the highs are really high but the lows are very low. We don’t do steady state. Perhaps we’re addicted to excitement!

Its clear Bruno best position is and 8. Much better presser of the ball and can nick a goal And Tonali a 6. Just like his hero Gattuso Dan B is a CB ffs Eddie We cant have 4 slow defenders in the Premier League. Wilson for me is not close to be the same player he was for us lost his speed sad to see anyways happy for the 3 points.
