Our Man Of The Match At Nottingham Forest Wins By A Massive Majority

It’s no secret that Brazilian International Bruno Guimaraes had an excellent game for us on Saturday and his brace helped us to get a hard-fought 3-2 victory at the City Ground Against Nottingham Forest.

We very rarely has anyone been at the 90% level to win our Man of the Match award and that’s the percentage he got for the Man of the Match at Forest.

It was a little bit of a surprise that Dan Burn came in second at 4% – but maybe there were some sympathy votes in there – given the criticism he has received over the last few games.

Who Was Newcastle's Man Of The Match Against Nottingham Forest?

    Lloyd Kelly’s injury record…

    https://www.transfermarkt.us/lloyd-kelly/verletzungen/spieler/480116

He’s a definite improvement over Targett and Burn at LB but I’m sure they’ll take careful consideration regarding his previous injuries, especially after what we’ve endured this season so far.

Kelly might be signed as an upgrade on Burn at lb, so you can see the logic behind the speculation. Billings though, when we already have Bruno, Tonali, Joelinton, Longstaff, Willock, Miley and Anderson? I don’t see it so much. But yeah, we certainly need more quality brought in than that. We aren’t going out and signing those two, and no one better, unless we have little choice under PSR, which I don’t imagine will be the case come the summer.

Sky Sports are trawling the depths again when it comes to morals or ethics.
On Saturday they were asking Bruno about leaving Newcastle. Tonight, on Monday night football, they are discussing what Xabi Alonso will bring to Liverpool next season.
They are truly a scum bag organisation.

Selling Joelinton and bringing in Billings for example. That’d be one straight out of the Mike Ashley playbook, so something like that simply won’t happen under these owners.

Unless they see something in Billings of course.

Hahaha. I’m tying myself up in knots, which is easy to do, when trying to speculate on signings.

Much wiser I suppose to wait until a player is signed, and then try to understand why.

But where the hell is the fun in that?

If Big Joe signs a new contract then his agent could request a hefty release fee (Bruno apparently has the same in his current contract) so he could leave without us being able to do much about it, other than collect a nice profit on him.

    <bReminder

Even though we are unfortunately out of the Champions League the Ed Harrison FCL is ongoing and the next round of matches starts up again tomorrow.

There is still time to make transfers with a wildcard available before tomorrow;s deadline.

Good luck to those involved in Ed Harrisons FCL!

There is nothing in the Premier League to remotely interest any higher aspirations of Bruno or Joe other than to make NUFC great.
City might be the exception but Liverpool without Klopp becomes a sideways move and Chelsea are to be avoided like the plague. PSG don’t cut the Mustard, Bayern are off the pace. Barcelona and Real Madrid remain the top teams.

2024/2025 a fully fit and revitalized NUFC squad with some reinforcements are potentially Premier League champions. Players need to show loyalty and commitment.

I’ve been speaking to my cousin and uncle who live in Bournemouth and have been season ticket holders for years…

I asked my cousin what he thought of him and his injury record:

“ Lloyd Kelly is a great player, and is super pick he has had a purple season this season and can be LB or CB, his injury record has not been to bad for us, how much is rumoured to be for a transfer?”

This lad is over 6ft 3” and fast, he can also play at CB. With Eddie he would get even more out of this lad. On a free also what’s not to like with this link?

Looking at the Prem League table it looks like the combination of refs, VAR, dodgy dealings and the 5 subs rule is steering 5 of the slimey six into where they believe they are entitled to be. Villa currently keeping Chelsea away from the party. We can still disrupt the show.

I personally don’t like the idea of Eddie going back to his old club to improve our squad!
Next step for us should be a potentially world class player not journeymen from the bottom half of the prem!
Also, and I love Eddie but he’s got to be more ruthless. Burn should have been rested for Saturday and possibly brought on near the end.

Anybody any clue which ways best when it comes to ticket ballots? Is it better to go cheaper bracket or more expensive bracket? If any difference at all as I’m guessing less “may” apply for the more expensive but there’re probably less available so toss of a coin really. Also mine and wor lass’s are linked, the bairn’s isn’t linked yet as there’s been no point so far. I doubt there’s much difference between a linked account with 2 or 3 memberships but have people found there’s more chance with linked accounts than singles?
Lastly I have international membership(previously just had normal), is there any difference? I’m guessing not as I get the same ballot emails as the bairn but what’s the point of having different ones? Just having them all the same is easier surely? Lots of questions I know but it’s half time so bored 😀

I’d be happier if we were targetting players from Bayern Munich, PSG, Napoli, Barcelona etc rather than Bournemouth; I hate it when managers can’t see past the players that they are mates with from previous appointments. What is the recruitment team getting paid for?

“He has 18 months left on his contract so it’s a possibility he’ll be sold in the summer,” said Howe. “I’m not a fortune teller but it’s a possibility.”

Thing is, my man Eddie, if he goes so does the other Brazilian.

I think we should do everything possible to keep them both.

Raising both their salaries reduces our room to bring in new players, but we already have a solid skeleton.

Getting rid of those two would mean a new project, from start.

And that could go either way.
