Shut the feck up Linikear, you’re painful on the ears.

We hesitate to many times when a swift pass forward could split a defence.

Season’s over, nothing to play for now.

Lascelles back to not being able to pass a ball. Longstaff did nothing. Burn poor on and off the ball.

Yet it was two crappy deflections that did it.

    A good second half performance.
    Eddie got the subs right.
But the subs should have started

It’s sad to see and sad to say, we are so bloody far behind teams like City.
We may have to do a Villa at the end of the season and do a Grealish type deal and let someone like Bruno leave for 100 million plus to give us some extra needed cash to purchase three players and then have enough left in the kitty for January just in case we need it.

Long staff needs removing from the first team, I cannot bear to see that lad strolling around the pitch contributing absolutely nothing to this team Miley done more in 5 minutes than long staff done the whole match

Good to see Krafth, Anderson and especially Hall get some time on the pitch.

Well, if those in charge can’t see that we have big problem with poisitioning and pace on the left side of defence, then they must be blind. That problem is severely compounded when when big Joe isn’t avaibable and it’s even worse ‘cos even though Botman is back, he’s not back to his normal self.
The difference from last season, apart from our injury crisis, is the teams have worked out where our weak point is and they’re playing to it.
I’d love to see some stats that show which side the opposition are attacking us most on and where the goals are coming from, but it definitely looks that way to me.

Have to say, the lads that came on didn’t do us any harm, they all seemed like they should have started. Kraft so calm on the ball, Hall good quick touches, Miley wondering how he is benched and longplanks get a game, Anderson needs a little more game time and Miggy always puts his heart into trying to win.

Eddie says he picks Longy to protect Miley.. but what kind of protection is letting the game go away before he brings him on?!

Miley and Hall showed enough that if nurtured properly will have a breakout seasaon next time. I hope Eddie plays the young uns now that the season is done.

Also I feel so bad for Miggy.. couple of times he got in on the side and if only he had a right foot would have been a simple square ball for a tap in.

Disagree about nothing left to play for. The Cups are just a distraction. The money is in the PL position. We need to get as high in the PL as possible, and into the Euro places if we can to have any chance of attracting the type of talent that we need to prograss further. If EH lets the players heads drop, and start digging out their flipflops, then that is a further reason why he is not the right coach to be taking NUFC further. I hope that is not the case. At least he tried something differnt tonight in term of tactics. It didn’t work well with the original selection of players. Hopefully he has learned something tonight and will incorporate that into the next run of games.

Burn is Not a left back, simple as that, he is a centre back and a squad centre back at that, how he is hestarting week in week out is beyond a joke, we have hall and livramento that can play left back yet burn is the first name on the team sheet and it’s really annoying. And it’s getting on my nerves. Longstaff contributes absolutely nothing every single game and yet he starts week in week out when a young 17 year old kid is a better player tells you everything you need to know. Baffling decisions from howe and it’s going to be his undoing.

City have had 15 years to build their squad. We’ve had two.

I can’t the players for their effort in second half, especially the subs. Hall looked lively, but the breaks just didn’t happen.

I hope Eddie looks at some of these squad players in the last ten games to see how much or little they can offer.

2 weeks rest from the Premier League.

A big shout out to the fans on a rainy night!

Firstly howe does his bus act not that he needs to give city any advantage
When they saw lascelles burn and that waste of space longstaff starting they could of played the kids
As for the morons on here stating we got beat by two deflections what a dozy lot you are
    Goals they were 2 goals
We had 2 shots and 27% of the play I couldn’t care less we were at city a championship team would of gave a better account
Eddie howe is a shitty manager he always has been
You put him on a pedestal for getting a lucky 4th place and he’s a genius
Sod off you idiots he’s a total loser if that was Bruce’s team this season you’d be calling for his head especially with the p I f backing but because its so likeable Eddie he gets off scot free with his teams shambolic performances
We are not getting into Europe so I Hope we finish around 15th and he gets the sack
    EDDIE HOWE OUT

Couple of fixes before next season. Get big Joe tied down, Sandro back, Pope back.
From what I’ve seen, take a good hard look at Minteh in pre season. He is that type of player that could change a game with his pace and skill. If he’s good enough he’s old enough.
Then we need a quality CB, midfield play maker and a proper striker.
Watch Silva, we don’t have that, it feels we need that badly, there has to be another Yohan out in the big bad world of football.

Fair play to the lads today, they never once let their heads drop and give it their very best shot despite being up against a team from a different stratosphere in terms of skill, pace power and finesse, i for one am delighted with the pride and character of all those lads today.

On the fans, what more can you say, even Danny Murphy mentioned during the commentary how terrific they all were.

In Conclusion it wasn`t all bad old with Ireland being crowned six nations champions again.

And in the GAA Armagh gained promotion to the Allianz Division One after trouncing Cavan by 2-21 to 12 points Unfortunately the hat-trick of my teams wasn`t to be, but that`s life, at least tomorrow is Saint Patrick`s Day, always a Sliver Lining

    Up Ireland
    Up Armagh

Several things were obvious from that game, Burn Isn’t a left back and Hall is, he needs to be in the team.

Longstaff and Botman are not good enough at the moment, if they are carrying injuries then they shouldn’t even be in the squad.

The subs improved us just to prove the above points.

play as we did in the second half and we are more than a match for any other team that we have left to play.

We are out of the Cup but the season aint over for us yet.

Big shoutout to the fans who cheered till the end. I still think with the right backing and figuring out better training/injury management schedules, Howe will get us back in the top 6. I just feel like I get why he has been overtly loyal to Burn and Longstaff, to protect Tino, Miley and Hall, but he could have had given them more minutes and faith.
I guess we still have to go for 7th and pretty doable given the fixtures left; it’s just do our top players have the desire for chasing the Europa Conference. Hope for the best.
