Newcastle CEO Darren Eales Issues Five Year Plan for Newcastle To Become A World-Class Club

Newcastle CEO Darren Eales met with the new Fan Advisory Board late last month, and the notes from the meeting have just been released.

We covered earlier today what CEO Darren Eales said about the possible expansion of St. James’ Park and the study on that is expected to be released next month.

This is some of what CEO Darren Eales said about Newcastle’s ambitions for the future:

“We’re going to build a results-driven, world-class, sustainable organization that consistently achieves top-six status for men’s and women’s teams and wins major trophies, within the next five years.”

“The club’s revenue growth over the last two seasons and into this season has been incredible.”

“Off the pitch, because we started from a low revenue base, we are still a long way behind the top six in the Premier League.”

“Since we can only spend a percentage of revenue, we always look to spend the maximum we can on the team within the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR).

“This means it is vital that we look at ways to raise revenue streams, whether through matchday, St. James’ STACK, commercial partnerships, retail/merchandise, tours, hospitality and events.”

Those are positive statements from Darren Eales, and they will help keep some of our top players at Newcastle on the journey to our club becoming a world-class team and organization.

They will also help us to recruit new players this summer.

But it will be important for Newcastle to get enough points in our final 10 league games so we can offer players  European football next season, even if it’s the Europa Conference.

That may be difficult given our current position of 10th in the league.

Onmeedsun from previous……but there’s no way they’ll be able to squeeze 52k into the Gateshead stadium. Just can’t see where we’d play for 2 years.

    Ground share with the mackems?

Luton is not exactly a half way house ground between the hashtag ladies and Wor Lassies.

Surely there was a better placed ground to hold the final in for all the fans.

Problem with 5 year plans is that they sometimes become on a 5 year rolling basis….

…..but with a fair wind we can surely get there

    Bill’s,
For me that was the turning point in the season because the results speak for themselves. Despite all the injuries we’d never fallen apart before then except maybe Bmouth away which was after the BD defeat. We’d put in monumental displays against Arsenal, thrashed Chelsea and Man U plus that heroic draw in Paris. They were just about weathering the ridiculous injury crisis. Pope’s injury psychologically broke them, you seen it at the end of the Man U game, you seen it against Everton and Spurs and Luton and Forest, they were not just physically spent but mentally. Surely you’ve seen the stats, 14 games with Pope, 1st for CS, 2nd for big shots conceded, up there in the top three for every defensive stat bar goals conceded which I think was fifth. 14 games with Dubravka and we are in the same boat as only SHU and Burnley in all the relevant stats, from very best to rock bottom. You’re telling me that’s not a turning point. I disagree.

It’s exciting to hear top brass talk about ambitions. We haven’t had a statement like that in ages. I just hope we get a decent amount to spend and get some serious ballers for that team, get a grip of what’s going on medically, get Joel signed, don’t sell Bruno ( I’m not confident of this ) and start to run teams into the ground like last year with our bearpit midfield back in action.

well am back, my family and I had a fantastic time in australia with our family over there, many places we went to even the cane fields in queensland, been home couple of days took its toll with the flights mind but was worth it in the end grandkids had a fantastic time

am up to date with the toon info, I even bumped into a canny few toon fans there

whats all this crap about eddie howe, reckon some fans have forgot when he took over we were certs for relegation, finished on 49 points following season a cup final, finished 4th, this season with an injury list as long as a hospitals waiting list and a good champions league matches along with being cheated by var which let in psg ie match fixings, the boss has done the club well and it better continue still back the man 100%

    Bill’s,
I forgot to add that I’m certainly not trashing Dubravka, l was over him going to Man U when the manager welcomed him back in to the fold, I’m just pointing out the undeniably downturn in defensive stats since he came in. Not his fault but the injury to Pope is to blame.

Jail, one of the reasons he is a huge loss is because he moves the backline out enough to squeeze the gap between midfield and defence. But the other injuries have hurt. However without massive improvements in our medical staff and a deeper squad these injuries won’t go away. Sorry Magscar, reality, to my mind anyway.

3rd tier of the Womens game.

Once the lasses win their league this season they go into the equivalent of the Championship where Sunderland already play!

Top that league and the are in with the Big Lasses.
